National Review: Racism Gets Redefined
The concept of racism has expanded to the point that any negative interaction between a white person and a person of color is seen as racist, regardless of actual motives or evidence. In two recent cases, a pregnant physician’s assistant was labeled a "Karen" and accused of trying to "weaponize white tears," while a Marine veteran is facing manslaughter charges for restraining a homeless man who was threatening fellow passengers. The outrage mobs that formed in both cases were not interested in the facts. While informing consciences has traditionally been the role of religion, under this new definition of racism, there is no specificity in the offense or way to make up for it, leading to the scapegoating of unenlightened white people by their enlightened counterparts.

Foreign Policy: A Day Inside Putin’s Surreal Television Empire
Russian propaganda machine is co-opting the public into the state's war agenda through state-controlled network and cable TV channels that feed them a uniform vision of the world, resulting in public support for Putin and his war on Ukraine remaining high. Television, not the internet, remains the dominant news medium in Russia, with every channel and every program, from news broadcasts to music competitions, transmitting the Kremlin's narrative, 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Foreign coverage is astounding, selling and humanizing war through recurring characters that fall into one of two camps: "us" or "them."

American Thinker: Elon Musk withdraws Twitter from European Union’s ‘voluntary Code of Practice on online disinformation’
Elon Musk's Twitter has withdrawn from the EU's Code of Practice against disinformation, prompting veiled legal threats from EU Commissioner Thierry Breton. The Digital Services Act, implemented last November, allows the EU to subject certain platforms to stronger regulations. Musk appears to be picking a fight with the EU over speech moderation, and could face penalties of up to 6% of annual global turnover.

Liberty Nation: It’s Too Soon to Say Goodbye to Inflation – Swamponomics
Inflation remains stubbornly high in the US, with the annual personal consumption expenditure price index increasing to 4.4% in April – higher than market estimates of 4.1%. The futures market is pricing in a quarter-point rate hike at next month’s Federal Open Market Committee meeting, which could see the policy range rise to 5.25% and 5.5%, the highest levels in almost 15 years. Bankruptcies in the US have risen notably, with S&P Global Market Intelligence data revealing a year-to-date pace of 236 filings, the fastest since 2010, due to a combination of historically low interest rates and an end to Covid stimulus programmes. The Treasury balance at the Federal Reserve is also in poor shape, as Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned the US government would run out of funding to cover its obligations if Congress has not raised or suspended the debt limit by 5 June.

National Review: ‘No, Thank God, Americans Don’t Say That’
On Memorial Day, we honor our fallen soldiers from past conflicts, acknowledging their immeasurable loss and recognizing that the free world exists because of American blood, technical ingenuity and industrial might. Our military faces outward, always a bulwark against the tyrannies of collectivism, Nazism, and fascism. The day reminds us of the steep price of independence that we accepted and the necessity of a blessedly fractured system of governance. At National Review, we honor the totality of individual sacrifice for the whole and defy insidious ideologies while being skeptical of those in power who abuse their position. Every man does his job and every man is important.

American Thinker: The Politics of Jesus
Evangelical leader Tony Campolo's belief in mixing religion and politics is untrue as far as Christianity is concerned. Jesus' resurrection is the most political event in human history, as He was executed by the state for teaching about an alternative to the present political order. Faithful refusal to accept killing and bearing witness to Jesus' resurrection is at the heart of a global human protest against unjust politics. Christianity is an intrinsic threat to the irrational threats of the sword that dominate human politics, and separation is impossible even with promises of safety.

National Review: ‘Perfect Storm’: How a Toxic Internet Diet and Exploitative Docs Pushed an Autistic Woman into Gender Transition
A female detransitioner who identified as a man for five years shares her story of how she fell into the "transgender cult" after an unstable childhood in rural America. Peregrine, who is autistic, was influenced by exposure to furry culture and porn, including fantasies of being a man with breasts. The message from doctors was that gender reassignment surgery was the only solution to gender dysphoria, and Peregrine felt "moral blackmailing" from others who didn't want her to suffer. She underwent a double mastectomy and took testosterone, which worsened her autoimmune disorders and caused her to develop arthritis. Now identifying again as female, she calls the medical gender industry a "money-making mutilation machine".

Fox News: 'PARALLELS OF EVIL': Ted Bundy survivors speak out, linking their gruesome attacks to Bryan Kohberger's
The brutal murders of four University of Idaho students are eerily similar to Ted Bundy's killings according to two survivors and experts. Bryan Kohberger, a criminology Ph.D. student, is accused of sneaking into a rental home and killing four students. Kohberger's alleged crimes involved breaking in to a home and killing its inhabitants one by one, much alike to Bundy's modus operandi. Kohberger was indicted by a grand jury and awaits a six-week trial beginning in October.
