Breitbart: Angel Sons of Sgt. Michael Kunovich Remember 'Kind, Generous' Father Who Died Allegedly at Hands of Illegal Alien
St. Johns County, Florida, Sgt. Michael Kunovich was remembered as a “kind, generous, and intelligent” father with a love of country during his funeral service. His sons said their father's dedication to his country, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, and the citizens of St. Johns County will always inspire them to give back to their community and always serve others. Kunovich was killed allegedly at the hands of an illegal alien who has been arrested and charged with resisting an officer with violence and felony murder. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have requested custody of the illegal alien should local law enforcement release him at any time.

The Federalist Papers: Conservative House Republicans Threaten to Sink Biden, McCarthy Deal: 'We're Going to Try'
House Republicans are divided over a bipartisan deal brokered by Speaker Kevin McCarthy and President Joe Biden to raise the debt ceiling. The bill imposes some spending limits on discretionary non-defense spending and gave Republicans some of what they wanted on issues such as work requirements for some social services programs. Multiple Republicans slammed the agreement on Twitter, saying that it gave away too much and allowed too much spending. However, Republican Rep. Dusty Johnson of South Carolina said that when all is said and done, the deal is a good one. Meanwhile, Democratic Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington, who chairs the Congressional Progressive Caucus, voiced her dissatisfaction.

Erdoğan declared victory in the final round of Turkey's presidential election, receiving 52.07% of the vote, while his rival Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu received 47.93%. Erdoğan secured voter support in much of the Turkish heartland. The voting ended a dramatic, and often violent, campaign that many international observers denounced as neither free nor fair, with opposition leaders and anti-Erdoğan media documenting multiple instances of violence apparently by his supporters.

Conservative media outlet, RedState, claims that President Trump's anti-DeSantis ad is "dishonest" due to its failure to mention that DeSantis' plan would eliminate federal income taxes and payroll taxes. DeSantis proposes a 23% national sales tax that would ultimately increase economic costs and burden middle and low-income classes. The tax would also cause problems for seniors on a fixed income and destroy small businesses, with the government administration also likely to be corrupt.
