American Thinker: What to do with Joe Biden?
Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden is struggling in the polls, with concerns about his age-related feebleness and a looming influence-peddling scandal. Meanwhile, the more marketable Democrat presidential aspirants are holding back from throwing their hats into the ring. The Democrats’ lurch to the left is alienating many formerly loyal members of the electorate.
The collapse of the Bud Light brand following its embrace of abnormal sexuality is cited as evidence of the nausea being induced by the woke-left agenda. Democrats and their media allies try to stereotype conservatives as hateful bigots, but conservatives tend to cut their neighbors an enormous amount of slack when it comes to their private lives. With the US media establishment constantly pushing fiction, the world could be a much more dangerous place than Americans are led to believe.
American Thinker: Target shows the blueprint to beat the left
The fascist far left's power is an illusion, and the resistance against their anti-liberty authoritarianism is intensifying, led by the pro-freedom majority who just want to live their lives free from control. The sustained Bud Light and Target protests have shown that leftists are a paper tiger, and their cancel culture power is draining away.
American Thinker: The rise of the despotocracy
Dr. Kevin Slack’s essay for American Greatness is an extensive account of the rise of despots in America. He explains how the American elites grew to become despots and how an oligarchy can transition into a despotic regime that oppresses society. Slack also highlights the importance of morality and ethics in leadership for the success of the American Republic.
Slack offers evidence to demonstrate how despots have infiltrated every aspect of American culture, business, and politics, and how they have turned America into a corrupt kleptocracy. He calls attention to the fact that wealth is utilized to retain political control and highlights that sophisticated propaganda helps to manipulate the public. Furthermore, Slack provides an in-depth historical account of political developments since the Progressive era to explain how America reached its current state.

The Economist: Sad little boys: the backlash against Britain’s boarding schools
Britain's boarding schools face backlash as criticism of sending young children away from home grows. While pupil numbers remain steady, the value of elite private schools is being questioned, especially in light of declining acceptance rates into top universities. Psychologists also argue that early separation from parents leads to negative outcomes and have coined the term "boarding-school syndrome" to describe symptoms such as depression and emotional repression that can affect former boarders. Despite changing attitudes and practices, critics still argue that the cruelty of this system is deliberate and outdated.

Fox News: North Korea infant jailed for life after parents found with Bible according to recent report
North Korean officials sentenced a two-year-old and their entire family to political life imprisonment after finding a Bible in their possession. The US State Department’s International Religious Freedom Report 2022 estimated that 70,000 Christians and individuals from other faiths are imprisoned in North Korea. The UN noted that the COVID-19 travel restrictions reduced information on religious persecution, making details about the cases difficult to verify. The State Department confirmed details through NGOs, human rights groups, and the UN. Christians in North Korea have described horrific conditions in prison camps that include extreme malnutrition, verbal and physical abuse, forced feeding of contaminated food, and execution.

Kevin Monahan, a New York man charged with second-degree murder, reckless endangerment and tampering with evidence, claimed that hunters were responsible for shooting Kaylin Gillis, a 20-year-old woman who died after Monahan allegedly shot at a group of friends who mistakenly drove into his driveway in rural upstate New York. Monahan refused to leave his home when the police arrived and was taken into custody after an hour of negotiation. Monahan remains in Warren County Jail, and a trial date was set for September 7.
