Breitbart: Sen. Lindsey Graham: Defense Spending in Debt Ceiling Deal Is a 'Joke'
Senator Lindsey Graham criticized President Biden's defense budget, calling it "a joke" and stating that adopting it would be a disservice to the GOP. Graham argued that the budget increases defense spending below inflation and would reduce the Navy's fleet size. He also claimed that it would benefit China by giving them a larger navy.
Red State: Is the Love Affair Over Between AOC and Her Constituents?
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was booed at a town hall meeting by her constituents. Attendees were unhappy with her position on the debt ceiling, border crisis, and funds being transferred to Ukraine. Some held signs that called her a criminal and criticized her for supporting "drag queen story hour" while others raised concerns about the possibility of a war with Russia. The incident has led to speculation that Nancy Pelosi may try to challenge Cortez in the primary.
American Thinker: Kevin McCarthy, Winning
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and President Joe Biden have reached an agreement in principle to increase the nation's borrowing authority and avoid federal default. The deal includes a two-year debt limit increase, flat non-defense spending for fiscal year 2024, and fully-funded medical care for veterans. Republicans also proposed boosting work requirements for able-bodied adults without dependents in certain government assistance programs. The agreement will rescind approximately $30 billion in unspent coronavirus relief money except for programs such as veterans' medical care and Indian Health Service. McCarthy emerged as the winner of the compromise.
Breitbart: Dingell: I'm 'Really' 'Annoyed' by Cuts to IRS Staff in Debt Deal, But 'There Is Nothing I Can Do About It'
Rep. Dingell expresses annoyance over cuts to new IRS workers in the debt ceiling agreement between Biden and McCarthy, but says there is nothing she can do about it and urges people not to refuse to vote for the deal over it. She believes the IRS provision is not enough to make anyone vote against the bill.

Red State: Ron DeSantis Campaign Reeling After Losing the Coveted Furry Vote
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis may have lost the furry vote after a law was passed prohibiting children from attending adult performances. This led to a furry convention banning children in order to comply with the law. While there are misconceptions that furry culture is inherently sexual, many furries view their interest in anthropomorphized creatures as non-sexual. Regardless, the ban on children at the convention is seen as a positive, as there is belief that minors should not participate in furry culture. The impact on DeSantis' 2024 campaign remains to be seen.
Daily Wire: Rolling Stone Claims DeSantis’ Drag Show Crackdown ‘Sucked Pleasure’ Out Of ‘Life’s Little Joys’
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill banning children from attending adult events with sexually explicit content, including drag shows and drag brunches. Rolling Stone magazine reacted negatively, claiming DeSantis “has successfully sucked the pleasure out of many of life’s little joys.” However, the bill aims to protect children from exposure to inappropriate content. Megaplex, a “furry convention” in Florida, has even banned children from attending, avoiding defying the law, which defines adult performances as presentations that depict or simulate nudity, sexual conduct, or specific sexual activities. The Rolling Stone piece shows the insanity of American left politics.

The Epoch Times: Turkey’s Erdogan Secures 5 More Years in Tight Presidential Election
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey won another five-year term in a tight runoff election on May 28, securing approximately 52% of the vote. Turkey’s opposition leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu gained roughly 48%. Erdogan’s victory was achieved despite widespread criticism of his economic policies and his response to two devastating earthquakes earlier this year. Erdogan’s foreign policy, which includes nurturing close relations with Moscow, has also caused tension with NATO allies. Turkey’s relations with Russia have proved particularly controversial and Erdogan has refused to back Western-led sanctions against Moscow, despite condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last year. The AKP pledged to maintain its political and economic relations with Russia in its electoral manifesto, and almost half of Turkey’s domestic energy needs are supplied by natural gas imported from Russia.

Forbes: It’s Not Even ‘Deflation’ In the False Way That Monetarists Define It
Germany's inflation post-WWI led to the near disappearance of the mark, and it's important to remember this as central planners begin to warn of deflation . Monetarists believe that increased "money supply" caused the inflation in 2021, but this view presumes the impossible - money has no purpose without goods and services, and circulating money is market determined. Some in the inflation camp have now switched to deflation, but falling prices are a happy constant in dynamic economies and no act of saving short of stuffing money under a mattress ever shrinks consumption.
The Federalist Papers: Biden, McCarthy Come to Initial Debt Ceiling Agreement - Here's What's in the Deal
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and President Joe Biden have reached a deal to raise America’s debt ceiling for two years, bypassing the immediate fiscal crisis. The current debt limit would have been reached on June 5. The deal would make discretionary non-defense spending hold flat and has changes to the work requirements for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

The Epoch Times: Paradise Lost?
Our fall from grace is explored in the final part of the series, with God going to Adam and Eve to deliver their judgment after the eating of the forbidden fruit. The pair are made to realize their wrongdoing and the consequences, which include separation from their proper roles as man and woman and the start of their banishment. This banishment starts with the separation from their own inner paradises, depicted in Gustav Doré's illustrations, and the build of highways between Hell and Earth, a monument to Satan. The hope lies in realigning oneself with God's intentions, as human beings must pay for their sins with hardships brought on by war, violence, sickness, and disasters.

Breitbart: WATCH: 'Tranq' Drug Taking Heavy Toll in Philadelphia as Addictions Rise
Philadelphia is facing an epidemic of Xylazine, known as "tranq," a deadly drug often used to enhance the effect of other drugs. The drug has led to increased overdose deaths and severe wounds that often result in amputations. Philadelphia health officials are lamenting the situation, while the city's District Attorney has launched an unprecedented "diversion" program that simply withdraws charges for those who prove they are in drug treatment. Despite the initiative, the drug problem is still plaguing the area.
