Red State: DeSantis Talks Crypto Freedom as Bitcoin Price Rises After Debt Ceiling Deal
Bitcoin and Ethereum have recovered from last year's crypto market crash, but are still below their record highs. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Elon Musk discuss fears of the Biden administration's regulatory crackdown on crypto, with DeSantis claiming that Bitcoin poses a threat to those seeking control. The recent debt ceiling agreement and stock market closure have led to a rise in cryptocurrency prices, with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin all seeing increases.
Newsbusters: MSNBC's Phang Denounces Other Networks For Giving Airtime to GOP Prez Candidates!
Komissar Katie Phang of MSNBC calls for other media outlets to silence Republican presidential candidates, including Donald Trump and Mike Pence, criticizing them for "selling their wares." Phang's comments were denounced by former Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Mucarsel-Powell for their danger to democracy and freedom, stating that normalization of political violence and insurrection must stop. The segment was sponsored by various companies, including Verizon, Samsung, Flonase, Procter & Gamble, Herbal Essence, and Subway.
PJ Media: Trump National Security Adviser: Deep State Will 'for Sure' Rig 2024 Election
K.T. McFarland accuses the Deep State of rigging the 2024 election in favor of the Democrat nominee, citing evidence of interference in previous elections. The Deep State's efforts to destroy the Trump administration and manipulate the election process are supported by ample evidence. The recent meeting of the Center for Election Innovation & Research at a spy museum is an example of the technocratic cabal already at work on the issue.
Fox News: House Republican dismisses 'colorful conservatives' upset over debt ceiling deal: 'Going to pass'
Republican Rep. Dusty Johnson said that a debt ceiling agreement will pass, and only a small portion of the "most colorful conservatives" in Congress oppose it. He dismissed criticisms from Freedom Caucus members who claim it is a loss for the GOP, saying that it is a "fantastic" deal and will be passed with a strong majority. The deal, reached with the White House, would cut some unused COVID-19 emergency funds and grant a debt limit suspension until after the 2024 presidential election.
However, Rep. Bob Good called the agreed deal far from conservative, stating that if true, a $4 trillion increase in the debt limit cannot be justified through a YES vote. Rep. Chip Roy also voiced concerns with the deal's estimated cost, lack of budget cuts, and failure to include measures for border security. Johnson claimed that he talked to roughly three dozen House Republicans who all supported the agreement and emphasized that reducing spending, peeling back the regulatory state, unlocking American energy, and getting people back to work is a big deal.
Newsbusters: NBC's Todd Cries: GOP Hasn't Confirmed A Dem SCOTUS Nominee Since Cleveland!
Chuck Todd of NBC's Meet the Press complains about partisan Supreme Court and accuses Republicans of blocking Democrat nominees for 130 years. However, in reality, 28 Democrat nominees have been confirmed since the last Republican-controlled Senate confirmed a Democrat nominee. Todd's disingenuous remarks lack context and are dishonest.
Daily Wire: Speaker Kevin McCarthy Touts Wins Conservatives Secured In Tentative Debt Ceiling Agreement
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy praised the Republicans' ability to secure an agreement to avoid the US defaulting on its debt, despite President Biden's refusal to negotiate. The agreement includes historic reductions in spending, consequential reforms, and no new taxes or government programs. McCarthy expects the bill to be posted on Sunday, with a vote on Wednesday.

PJ Media: Unfollow the Science: 300 COVID Articles Pulled, Many Over Lack of Ethical Standards
Over 300 COVID-related papers have been retracted due to a lack of scientific truthfulness and ethical guidelines. Some researchers took ethical shortcuts or used too small sample sizes. Even prestigious publications like The Lancet were caught using fraudulent research. The FDA failed to mention that it had approved ivermectin for human use in 1996 and even won a Nobel prize for it.
The Epoch Times: Majority of COVID Hospital Deaths Were Due to Untreated Bacterial Pneumonia
The strict COVID protocol followed by hospitals may have caused institutional failure and doomed COVID-19 patients to death. The commercial COVID testing kits had high false positive rates, leading to misdiagnosis and non-treatment for treatable conditions like bacterial pneumonia and fungal infections. A new study found that people with unresolved respiratory infections, not necessarily COVID-19, had high mortality rates when put on mechanical ventilation, suggesting a risk of unresolving ventilator-associated pneumonia. Potentially, 58% of "COVID" cases were respiratory issues other than COVID-19, diagnosed and treated as COVID-19, leading to underdiagnosis and non-treatment for other respiratory infections.
National Review: The Corner: Dr. Jay Bhattacharya’s Next Big Idea
Stanford epidemiologist Dr. Jay Bhattacharya and his colleagues have launched a new campaign called the Norfolk Group, which calls for the creation of a national commission to explore the official responses to Covid-19 and plan a better public-health response if another pandemic arises. The group has listed several specific questions related to Covid-19 pandemic responses in the US, including issues with protecting high-risk populations, school closures, and the emphasis on community masking. The proposition has not received much attention, but media members and debate moderators should ask every presidential candidate whether they would support such a commission if elected.

Daily Wire: Chicago’s Endless Summer Violence: 34 Shot, 8 Dead So Far This Memorial Day Weekend
The Memorial Day weekend in Chicago has so far seen 34 individuals shot with eight dead. A safety program launched by Mayor Brandon Johnson, which includes having more police on the ground, doesn't appear to be making a major impact. Last year, Chicago had its deadliest Memorial Day in half a decade, with over 50 shot and nine killed.
Mayor Johnson dismissed the behavior of teenagers who rampaged in the streets, jumped on cars and beat up at least one innocent couple as "youthful shenanigans"; he even compared their behavior to his son jumping down stairs. He should be backing the police so that they have the support and authority needed to actually enforce the law, and advocating that fathers stay at home, as fatherlessness in Chicago, particularly in the black community, can explain much of the city's crime.
