The Epoch Times: Radical Solutions Needed to Avert Future National Debt Disaster
The US national debt is a ticking time bomb that no political party seems willing to defuse. The predictable debt ceiling drama results in both parties cutting deals that only lead to more debt. Biden's trillion-dollar budget plan will add $17 trillion of additional federal debt in 10 years. Even the Republicans' proposed spending cuts would still result in $12.2 trillion more debt. The national debt is a systemic problem that requires radical solutions that have been neglected by both parties. Enacting radical laws, abolishing bureaucracies, and finding a way to keep entitlements from tapping into general revenues are some necessary but politically unfeasible solutions to break free from the national debt addiction.
