The Epoch Times: Comedian Arrested in Beijing as Informants Become Norm Again in China, Eroding Mutual Trust
Chinese society is experiencing a concerning increase in people secretly informing on each other, which is a product of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) ideology. This trend is leading to a lack of trust between people, as seen in high-profile incidents such as the reporting of comedian Li Haoshi for using a military slogan and the criticism of artist Yue Minjun for insulting the military and opposing the CCP. The authoritarian rulers of China are afraid of public opinion and control people's thoughts through the use of informants and mutual supervision, which is eroding people's minds and trust in each other. This phenomenon is a pervasive feature of communist rule and can only be countered by the cultivation of basic trust between people.

The Epoch Times: Arizona Governor Accuses Previous Administration of ‘Illegally’ Allocating $50 Million in Government Funds
Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs accused former Governor Doug Ducey of misappropriating $50 million in government funds from the American Rescue Plan Act to fund all-day kindergarten for ESA recipients, which she deemed "illegal and invalid." The grant agreement violates multiple constitutional provisions, including on equal protection, the gift clause, and maintenance of a general and uniform public school system. Hobbs canceled the grant agreement and is now looking for alternatives to allocate the $50 million. Arizona Treasurer Kimberly Yee accused Hobbs of not respecting parents' rights to choose the best environment for their child's education and using children as pawns in a desperate attempt to win back support from union bosses and her ultra-progressive base.
