Arkansas Street Preacher Pulled Over, Placed Under Arrest for Anti-LGBT 'Sermon' Given a Year Before
Street preacher Jeremy Anders was arrested in Batesville, Arkansas, and faces a June 14 court date a year after making comments on a sidewalk in front of a restaurant that shares his Christian views on homosexuality. The comments were reported by the restaurant's owner, and an arrest warrant citing misdemeanour harassment followed. Anders was unaware of the situation until April 20, when he was arrested and jailed for over 24 hours. Bob Ballinger, director of law and policy at the National Association of Christian Lawmakers, is fighting the case on Anders' part, calling the First Amendment protection that covers his speech and expression.

Cameron Robbins, a Louisiana high school graduate, fell into the water during a sunset cruise on Blackbeard's Revenge in the Bahamas. The search was called off by Friday evening after Royal Bahamas Defense Force found no results. Robbins allegedly jumped out of the boat, and investigations are going on to find whether he did it out of his free will or was dared to do it.

Poppy Project leader Jason Trennert is hoping to revive the tradition of wearing poppies as a way of honouring veterans on Wall Street. Although this practice has a richer history in Canada and the UK, it has roots in the US after World War One. Trennert has been sending poppies to clients for 10 years, which he says has been "somewhat successful", but believes the lack of significance of World War One compared to WW2 and increasingly secular society has led to a decline of this practice in the US.
