Conservative magazine National Review's editor-in-chief Rich Lowry clashed with journalist Walter Isaacson during an interview on the CNN and PBS program Amanpour & Co. The debate focused on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis's cultural strategy and included a discussion on the teaching of gender in schools, specifically efforts by the Walt Disney Company in Florida and "Don't Say Gay" legislation. Lowry argued that DeSantis was trying to implement policies that were popular with voters, while Isaacson accused DeSantis of creating divisions. The interview is indicative of the ongoing political polarization in America.

Noted Federal Spending Expert Valerie Bertinelli Waxes Idiotic About Debt Ceiling Debate
Actress Valerie Bertinelli offered a "super simplistic" explanation of the US debt ceiling issue, likening it to a credit card bill. Republicans who created the $32tn debt now refuse to pay it and blame Democrats, she claimed. Interest payments come in at $475bn in fiscal 2022. The US should simply turn the whole issue over to Valerie Bertinelli to solve.

My Socialist Hell: How Venezuela Uses Hunger to Control a Starving Population
The Maduro regime in Venezuela uses the CLAP program as a tool for manipulating citizens by providing free food. However, reports of low quality and rotten food have been abundant despite the program being heavily subsidized. Many Venezuelans must rely on these bags for survival due to extreme poverty caused by economic collapse. A "CLAP-only diet" is terrible for the health and wellbeing of the population.

Ford CEO: We'll Have to Change Building Standards to Solve EV Charging Issue
Ford CEO Jim Farley says retailers need to place fast chargers in front of their stores to build up the electric vehicle charging infrastructure to be as convenient as gas-powered fueling. The process will require a change in building standards and will take five to ten years, Farley said. Most people on the commercial side will use depot charging, and this is easier to solve than the retail side issue, Farley added.
