Fox News: Women's group rips Target for featuring pride items by Satanist designer: 'Getting in bed with the devil'
Target faces backlash from The Battle Cry, a group of women fighting against "woke gender ideology," over the sale of tuck-friendly swimsuits and pro-LGBTQ merchandise designed by a Satanist. The group calls for a protest against Target's "controversial moves," including a campaign to drop "call to action" cards at local stores. They argue that the push for gender ideology is a "cult" targeting children, and the battle must be fought against.

Liberty Nation: The Economic and Military Circle of Russia and China Closing?
Russia and China formalized trade, investment, and agricultural agreements while affirming their mutual support and desire to respond to challenges posed by the West. The deal strengthens their economic competition against the United States and Western countries. Russia's agreement to supply energy products to China feeds the country's growing appetite for petroleum products while supporting Putin's war on Ukraine. The partnership also allows Russia to supply weapons-grade plutonium to China for its nuclear program, posing a direct threat to the US. The growing global geopolitical domination of Russia and China does not bode well for the West.

Fox News: ‘God gave kids to parents, not to the government’: Governor celebrates school choice win in sit-down interview
Oklahoma's new school choice law allows parents to take their children to any school in the state, and receive tax credits for private, Christian or charter schools. Governor Kevin Stitt signed the $1bn education package, which aims to provide students with the best education and to focus on their talents and abilities. While opponents argue rural schools could suffer from the move, advocates believe the increased competition will improve school quality. The legislation takes effect in 2024 and covers $5,000-$7,500 in tax credits per student, depending on household income.

National Review: The Supreme Court’s Clipping of DOJ’s Wings Should Spare Trump a January 6 Indictment
Former President Donald Trump faces multiple legal challenges, including indictments from the Fulton County district attorney in Georgia, a civil-fraud trial in New York and a criminal trial in Manhattan. However, recent Supreme Court rulings against fraud and corruption convictions against Andrew Cuomo's associates Percoco and Ciminelli make it less likely that Trump will be indicted in connection with the Capitol riot on January 6 . These rulings limit the concept of fraud and deceptive conduct and make it clear that prosecutors must stick to the basic, common understanding of fraud rather than stretching criminal statutes to create new crimes. As a result, there is no indication of imminent January 6 charges against Trump.

National Review: The Supreme Court Looks at Art, and Other News
A recent Supreme Court decision involving art and copyright infringement discusses the fair-use exemption. The case involves artist Lynn Goldsmith's photograph of musician Prince, which was used by Andy Warhol for a Vanity Fair illustration that was further altered and turned into a silkscreen. The court ruled that Warhol's alterations weren't transformative enough to make it social commentary and therefore didn't qualify for the fair-use exemption. Some argue that this subjective judgment creates uncertainty and will lead to an "appropriation war" among artists.
The debate over restitution of cultural treasures taken from colonized countries continues. German museums have begun returning Benin bronzes to Nigeria, but the recent transfer of a thousand objects sparked controversy when the Nigerian president gave them to the oba of the Edo people instead of the proposed new Edo Museum of West African Art. Some argue that restitution should come with conditions to ensure the art is cared for and used for public edification. Others bring up the question of rewarding a family with connections to the slave trade.
