Townhall: Making a Federal FOIA Request? Good Luck!
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requires US government agencies to disclose documents upon request. Despite this, federal agencies often delay releasing records and misuse redactions, making the process of transparency and functional government difficult. FOIA is supposed to foster transparency and allow Americans insight into how the federal government works, but systemic issues and policies designed to reduce transparency have turned it into another four-letter word for most requesters.
FOIA is one of the first "open government" laws in the world, yet it often highlights federal agencies shirking transparency and continuing dysfunction. Congressional champion John E. Moss would be dismayed that federal agencies do not follow the law's spirit, only the letter, leaving requesters with laughable or outrageous responses. Other issues persist, including agencies overusing redactions and inflating the number of documents provided, making FOIA another frustrating example of systemic issues.
Townhall: Just Default Already
The debt ceiling stand-off between Republicans and Democrats is a political charade that allows both sides to pretend to care. Default may be inevitable and the longer we wait, the more painful it will be. Politicians deserve accountability for the national debt, which has grown to almost $32 trillion. It's better to deal with it now to lower the pain level and incentivize voters to hold them responsible.

Breitbart: Report: Bud Light 24-Packs Drop to $3.49 as Mulvaney Boycott Tanks Sales
Boycotts against Bud Light continue over their partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, leading to a 28.4% drop in sales volume for the week ending May 13. Bud Light's parent company, Anheuser-Busch, has experienced losses of nearly $19 billion and shares are down 14%. As a result, competitors Coors Light and Miller Lite have seen their sales increase. The price slashing has been so extreme that some stores are effectively giving the beer away for free.

The Imaginative Conservative: Our Mother-tongue Is Love: A Sonnet for Pentecost
A sonnet celebrating Pentecost reflects on the four elements of earth, air, water, and fire, and how they embody different aspects of the Gospel and of God's goodness. The Holy Spirit is represented through the three dynamic elements of air, water, and fire, but where is earth? The sonnet explains that we ourselves are earth, and we become fully alive when the Holy Spirit comes upon us and becomes a part of who we are. Today the gospel crosses every border and all tongues are loosened by the Prince of Peace.

Breitbart: Youth Violent Crime Up in NYC, Blame Pointed at 'Raise the Age' Law
Youth arrests for felony domestic assault and robbery are up in NYC by 51 and 80% respectively compared to last year. The Raise the Age law is being blamed for the rise in violence, as youth arrests are sent to Family Court and often released due to lack of available space.

Townhall: Actively Hampering the Executive Branch is Treason
Top Democrats conspired to frame Donald Trump as a Russian colluder during the 2016 campaign and hounded him throughout his administration. They knew there was no collusion, but perpetuated the hoax to control who governs. Obama, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, James Clapper, and Adam Schiff were among those complicit in the treasonous scheme, with the CIA director briefing them all. The Mueller Commission also knew about the hoax but continued for two years, interrogating Trump's advisors and wasting millions of tax dollars. The complicit press, including The New York Times and MSNBC, interviewed 'expert' guests who repeated the false claim. Surveys show that most Democrats still believe the false claim despite the exposure of the ruse. The leaders of the Democrat party are thoroughly corrupt, willing to stay corrupt in league with the devil.
