Townhall: Under Biden, DHS Is Targeting Conservative Groups
Under Biden, DHS Is Targeting Conservative Groups
The Biden administration has used taxpayer-funded anti-terrorism grants to target conservative organizations, Christians, and the Republican Party instead of actual terrorists. The Targeted Violence & Terrorism Prevention Grant Program received almost $40 million to train attention on the entire political right and was revamped to focus on media literacy and online critical thinking initiatives. Documents obtained by the Media Research Center show that the program violates constitutional rights and involves breaking the law, as it targets political opponents through federal bureaucracy agencies. The University of Dayton PREVENTS-OH, a grantee, used part of the grant to establish a program that listed mainstream organizations, including the Republican Party, as comparable to neo-Nazi and pro-Nazi groups. Michael Loadenthal of the University of Cincinnati, who identified himself as an "ally" of the radical Antifa organization, was a speaker at one of the academic conferences affiliated with the program.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton Shreds Attempt To Impeach Him
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is facing impeachment by some Republicans in the state's House of Representatives. Paxton's office has dismissed the articles of impeachment as weak, adding that they would likely be dismissed in court. The move comes as the House Committee on General Investigating probes Paxton's alleged attempt to settle a 2020 lawsuit using $3.3m in public money. The attorney general had previously called on House Speaker Dade Phelan to resign after video emerged allegedly showing him intoxicated on the House floor. The impeachment proceedings are set to begin on Saturday.

Red State: Strategically Speaking, I Do Not Understand the Point of Larry Elder's Campaign
Strategically Speaking, I Do Not Understand the Point of Larry Elder's Campaign
Larry Elder, former radio host and failed California gubernatorial candidate, is running for president, but he has no clear path to victory or even double digits in polls. He recently did an interview where he argued he could be Trump without being Trump and appeal to suburban women. However, as a talk radio host, he lacks the same level of appeal as Trump and other candidates in the race who have a clearer path to victory.

The New American: Supreme Court Opinion in Sackett v. EPA Restores Limits on the Power of the Bureaucracy - The New American
Supreme Court Opinion in Sackett v. EPA Restores Limits on the Power of the Bureaucracy - The New American
The Supreme Court ruling on Sackett v. EPA dealt a victory for federalism, state sovereignty, and property rights over the Clean Water Act. The act expanded federal authority and gave bureaucrats unrestrained regulatory power, violating the Constitution's tenet of legislative powers vested in Congress. Regulatory agencies like the EPA, with unelected officials, consolidate power, making them creator, executor, and punisher of their regulations, which is the very definition of tyranny. Joe Biden's statement, putting wetlands over the Constitution, defies his oath to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution."

The Blaze: Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton to face impeachment vote in GOP-controlled House
Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton to face impeachment vote in GOP-controlled House
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton faces a Saturday impeachment vote in the state's GOP-controlled House, stemming from allegations of violating multiple laws by using his office to help a real estate developer who donated to his campaign. Paxton criticized the effort, calling it "illegal," and encouraged peaceful protests at the Capitol. If impeached, the law requires him to step aside from his position. The investigation centered around Paxton allegedly forcing staff to change a ruling on COVID-19 restrictions to benefit the developer and hiring an outside attorney to serve as a special prosecutor to fight federal law enforcement on his behalf.

Ocasio-Cortez Heckled, Booed by Outraged Constituents at Queens Town Hall Meeting, “You’re a Piece of S***!”
At a town hall meeting in Queens, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez faced criticism from constituents over her stance on illegal immigration, raising the debt ceiling, and U.S. financial aid to Ukraine. One man shouted, "American citizens before migrants!" and called her out on her apparent lack of attention to the immigration issue. Another attendee voiced his discontent with her statement on eliminating the debt limit, highlighting her support for massive U.S. funding to Ukraine. Signs included "America First: Vetted & Legal Migrants Only" and "Stop Funding Ukraine."

Fox News: DeSantis says he would welcome bill to abolish 'corrupt' IRS: 'We need something totally different'
DeSantis says he would welcome bill to abolish 'corrupt' IRS: 'We need something totally different'
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has expressed support for abolishing the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and replacing it with something "more favorable" to taxpayers. DeSantis, who announced his candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 this week, has previously criticized the IRS for its purportedly unfair treatment of the middle class. He has supported the Fair Tax Act, which seeks to replace all federal taxes with a lower tax and end the IRS. DeSantis also denounced an effort by the Biden administration last year to expand the IRS with 87,000 new agents, calling it a "middle finger to the American public."

Anheuser-Busch Hasn't Learned Its Lesson - Bud Light Appearing on 'Pride' Festival Rosters Across US

The Target Corp. has already experienced backlash and moved its Pride Month merchandise to less visible areas. The Epoch Times: There's No Justification for BC's Continued War on Unvaccinated Health Workers
There's No Justification for BC's Continued War on Unvaccinated Health Workers
COVID-19 restrictions have been written into law on a permanent basis in British Columbia, stripping unvaccinated healthcare workers of their employment rights since October 2021. Thousands of vital healthcare professionals have been fired, resulting in staffing shortages in rural hospitals, as some workers leave the province or take early retirement. B.C.’s Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, announced on April 6 that COVID-19 vaccination was mandatory for health-care workers, despite there being no COVID-19 emergency in B.C. The public health order uses the coercion of job loss to compel involuntary vaccination and non-consensual experimentation, while ignoring evidence of natural immunity and mounting reports of vaccine injuries and deaths.

New Bill to Build Oakland Athletics Stadium on Las Vegas Strip Caps Nevada's Cost at $380 Million
The Oakland Athletics may get $380 million for a $1.5 billion retractable-roof stadium in Las Vegas Strip, Nevada. The money would come from $180 million in transferable tax credits, $120 million in county bonds, and $25 million from Clark County. Such funding is not expected to raise taxes and can move forward through a simple vote. The proposed stadium would be the smallest in major league baseball, with a seating capacity of 30,000. It would sit near the Tropicana Las Vegas resort, with the team hoping to attract some of the 40 million tourists that visit Las Vegas each year. The decision of financing rests with the Republican Governor, Joe Lombardo.

Fox News: Riley Gaines speaks out after two trans runners fail to appear at California high school race amid controversy
Riley Gaines speaks out after two trans runners fail to appear at California high school race amid controversy
Former college swimmer Riley Gaines criticized transgender athletes in high school sports, questioning their "unfair advantage" after two athletes qualified for the California high school preliminary finals but did not attend. Gaines has been vocal about her stance against transgender participation in women's sports and claims it discourages others. Athena Ryan, who was born male but transitioned to female, finished in second place in the race, while Adeline Johnson finished in fourth, outside the qualifying positions for the state finals, and gave a thumbs-down gesture during the podium presentation. The California Interscholastic Federation policy allows transgender students to compete in sports consistent with their gender identity.

Tottenham Hotspur Should Look Beyond The Top Tier For Their Next Manager
Tottenham Hotspur fans fear the club is repeating past mistakes as their search for a new manager stalls. Julian Nagelsmann and Mauricio Pochettino are out of the running, while Arne Slot has signed a new contract with Feyenoord. The club needs a manager who can cultivate a healthy culture, re-establish the connection with supporters, and implement a more modern, expansive style of play. Celtic’s Ange Postecoglou may be the perfect candidate for the position.
