Breitbart: 'Sham Impeachment:' Texas GOP, Trump Allies Blast Attempt to Impeach AG Ken Paxton
Texas state legislature Speaker Rep. Dade Phelan (R) is leading efforts to impeach Trump ally and Attorney General Ken Paxton over allegations of prior improprieties, including bribery. Phelan, despite being a Republican, has appointed over a dozen Democrats to chair committees in the GOP-held chamber, causing condemnation from the Texas GOP. Paxton has been leading antitrust lawsuits against Google over its ad dominance and biometric data collection, and recently launched an inquiry into Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Moderna over allegations of misrepresenting their coronavirus vaccines' safety and efficacy. Conservative influencers have slammed Phelan's actions and called on Texas voters to contact their representatives in support of Paxton.
Red State: GOP Going After Bank of America, FBI for Troubling Violation of Americans' Rights Related to Jan. 6.
Bank of America voluntarily turned over private financial data of thousands of Americans to the FBI without any evidence of criminal activity. The House GOP is investigating the bank's action. The bank provided the FBI with customers' transactions between Jan. 5 and Jan. 7, 2021, as well as anyone who bought a firearm using a Bank of America product, without legal process or subpoena. The whistleblower testimonies were corroborated by FBI employees. Rep. Massie called it a huge violation of Americans' privacy, without any individualized nexus to criminal conduct.
Breitbart: Ramaswamy Calls on Microsoft CEO to 'Condemn LinkedIn's Censorship'
Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy's LinkedIn account was locked after the platform claimed he posted "misinformation." LinkedIn later restored his account and called it an "error," but Ramaswamy challenged Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella to condemn the censorship. The platform had taken issue with statements Ramaswamy made in three videos, including comments about China's influence on the Biden administration and the climate agenda.
Breitbart: House Democrats, Eight Republicans Help Biden Shield China's Solar Industry from U.S. Tariffs
President Joe Biden vetoed a plan to restore the United States' tariffs on China-made solar panels, which led to the US House's failure to override the veto. Biden announced a 24-month tariff moratorium on solar panel imports from southeast Asian nations, which are suspected to route solar panels from China to avoid US tariffs.
The veto prompted 197 House Democrats and eight Republicans to vote against the tariffs' reinstatement. Michael Stumo, CEO of the Coalition for a Prosperous America, called the moratorium permanent and claimed that US free trade with China eliminated 3.7 million American jobs from 2001 to 2018.
The Epoch Times: Kash’s Corner: FBI, IRS Whistleblowers Detail Retaliation; Grassley, Johnson Should Ask Durham Questions Under Oath
Whistleblowers allege retaliatory conduct by DOJ, FBI and IRS in relation to Hunter Biden tax fraud case. Senators Grassley and Johnson demand more details from Special Counsel John Durham on former FBI officials who refused to cooperate with his investigation into the origins of the Russia probe. Recent reporting in The New York Times indicates that the FBI's investigation into the Clinton Foundation has been closed and all evidence destroyed.
Breitbart: China Ambassador Pressures ‘Compatriots in the United States’ to Help ‘the Motherland’
The new Chinese ambassador to the United States, Xie Feng, wrote an open letter urging Chinese Americans to prioritize their loyalty to China above their American citizenship, exhorting them to help their "motherland" in a call for nationalism and racial purity. While the letter cloaked its message in the usual Chinese Communist Party language of "win-win cooperation" and "peaceful coexistence," it was an unmistakable call to prioritize loyalty to China over America. Xie also failed to mention the numerous Chinese nationals who flee to America, seeking a better future than what China has to offer.
Xie's letter comes at a time when tensions are already high between the US and China. Although the Biden administration has signaled a desire to ease diplomatic relations, including at the recent G-7 summit in Japan, China has remained belligerent, with Xie himself even involved with sending that no-sale message. Many diplomats and political analysts view his absence from Washington since January as symptomatic of tensions between the two countries. Xie's letter has raised some eyebrows, with analysts pointing out that it signals Beijing intends to keep young Chinese studying abroad under even tighter scrutiny, with heavier demands for them to demonstrate political loyalty and push regime propaganda.

The Epoch Times: Sen. Woo Drafted the Citizen Petition Against Foreign Agent Registry Presented in House in April
Senator Yuen Pau Woo confirms he helped draft a citizen petition opposing a foreign influence registry, calling it a "misleading way to identify sources of foreign influence" and posing a risk to racialized communities. The petition was initiated by Li Wang and sponsored by Liberal MP Chandra Arya. While the petition has been criticized by opposition and diaspora groups for not addressing the Chinese Communist Party's influence activities in Canada, supporters argue that the legislation could stigmatize ethnic Chinese communities. Parliamentary efforts to create a foreign agent registry have been ongoing for two years, but bill S-237 has yet to receive government support.
Senator Woo’s involvement in a citizen petition opposing a foreign agent registry has sparked criticism, with Opposition and diaspora groups calling for Canada to enact such legislation to combat the Chinese Communist Party’s influence in the country. The proposed registry is aimed at authoritarian regimes and is meant to protect members of the diaspora from persecution. Woo and Conservative Sen. Victor Oh have both opposed the registry, citing concerns that it could stigmatize ethnic Chinese communities. While parliamentary efforts to create a foreign agent registry have been ongoing for two years, bill S-237 has yet to receive government support.

Breitbart: J.D. Vance: 'I No Longer Shop at Target'
Senator J.D. Vance joins Target boycott as the company faces backlash for promoting the transgender agenda by featuring a "pride" collection with items for adults and children. Many are outraged as children's items include onesies with "Bien Proud!" and a baby bib with "I Am Proud of You Always," among other pride-themed items. While Target attempted to save face, some children's swimsuits still contain tags reading "Thoughtfully Fit on Multiple Body Types and Gender Expressions." The company also cut ties with its partnership with satanist designer Abprallen but remains donating to activist organization GLSEN, which promotes the LGBT agenda in schools.

Flag And Cross: Scientists Create Drug That Destroys Deadly Brain Tumors
Scientists have discovered a drug called Z4P that can pass through the blood-brain barrier and destroy cancerous cells, leaving healthy tissue alone. The drug is especially effective on glioblastomas, the deadliest form of brain tumors, and works in combination with chemotherapy. The breakthrough may have implications for other aggressive cancers. The drug successfully passed through advanced simulations on supercomputers and extensive lab tests on cells have shown the substance is non-toxic. The treatment procedure is being optimized and additional animal studies are planned. The drug could be quickly brought into clinical treatment within the next five years.

All Outdoor: Home on the Range #040 - Pheasant Back Mushrooms (Dryad's Saddle)
Foraging for ripe pheasant back mushrooms is a fun spring activity. These "porous shelf" mushrooms can be collected from fallen logs and stumps, and have a creamy yellowish/tan background with dark brown scales. When identifying them, look for a fresh-looking porous bottom and avoid overripe ones that are tough and darker in color. Pheasant back mushrooms go well with steaks, pork chops, and thick cuts of meat and can be sautéed with butter, honey, salt, and pepper.
