The Federalist Papers: Target Gaslights Americans Why LGBT Products Were Removed, But Small Move Reveals Truth
Target Gaslights Americans Why LGBT Products Were Removed, But Small Move Reveals Truth
Target faces backlash for offering a new line of “tuck-friendly” swimsuits for children in support of the radical transgender movement. It was then revealed that the company had been working with an actual Satanist as one of its designers, partnering with the company that makes merchandise with violent and satanic messages. Despite the mounting criticism, Target has not apologized and only moved the products out of eyeshot, calling it a “solution” caused by conservative threats.

Sen Tim Scott warns Democrats could 'weaponize' words of GOP 2024 candidates
Senator Tim Scott warns against Democrats "weaponizing" words said by Republican candidates against each other on their path to socialism. He also emphasizes the importance of the Republican Party coming together, rather than continuing to attack one another. Scott believes America's real problem is Joe Biden's "feckless leadership" and hopes for a nominee who can unite the conservative movement.

American Thinker: What do search engines want to show you?
What do search engines want to show you?
. An image search for terms such as "shoplifter," "rioter," "white people," "black people," "gay people," "Republican voters," "Democratic voters," "Patriot," and "racist," on a search engine, shows manipulated results that reflect Big Tech's bias. The top results for "shoplifter" show white people, while "rioter" reflects only one riot ever being in human history - the Capitol Hill riot. "White people" returns images that feature black people and "gay people" searches highlight white, male liberals. It is evident that Big Tech is using manipulated results to alter perceptions.

Forbes: Who Is North Korea Trading With? [Infographic]
Who Is North Korea Trading With? [Infographic]
Imports from China to North Korea have surged in April, reaching a combined $1 billion worth of trade in and out of the reclusive country in 2022. Reports suggest that some of these shipments consist of goods used for wigs and hairpieces, indicating increased prison labor in North Korea. China is responsible for 99% of goods shipped into the country and almost 70% of North Korean exports are destined for China. European countries such as Poland and the Netherlands also maintain diplomatic relations with North Korea but face criticism for importing goods made under exploitative labor conditions. Imports from North Korea slumped heavily during the Covid-19 pandemic, leading to severe shortages of food and other essentials.

The Epoch Times: Oil Broadly Steady Amid OPEC+ Supply Cut Uncertainty, Demand Worries
Oil Broadly Steady Amid OPEC+ Supply Cut Uncertainty, Demand Worries
Oil prices were steady as the market weighed conflicting messages on supply from Russia and Saudi Arabia prior to the next OPEC+ policy meeting, a stronger U.S. dollar, and weaker-than-expected demand growth. Brent crude rose 40 cents at $76.66 a barrel, and U.S. West Texas Intermediate rose 54 cents to $72.37. Benchmarks settled more than $2 per barrel lower on Thursday after Russia's Deputy Prime Minister played down the prospect of further OPEC+ production cuts at its meeting in Vienna. Meanwhile, bets on falling oil prices are on the rise, and the stronger dollar has made dollar-denominated commodities such as oil more expensive for those holding other currencies.

Russian President Putin indicated that there could be no immediate change to the group's production policy, while Saudi Arabian Energy Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, warned short sellers to "watch out." Some investors interpreted that warning as a signal that OPEC+ could consider further output cuts. Worries of weak global demand growth also weighed on investor outlook ahead of an expected rise in the second half of the year, particularly from China. A deal to raise the US debt ceiling, which appears in sight, would probably boost oil prices.

The Epoch Times: Dollar Set for 3rd Week of Gains as US Debt Talks Loom Large
Dollar Set for 3rd Week of Gains as US Debt Talks Loom Large
The US dollar is on track for a third straight weekly gain, but has eased slightly as markets raise bets on higher-for-longer interest rates. The dollar's recent momentum has also been driven by raised expectations that the Federal Reserve will keep interest rates higher for longer to subdue inflation. Money markets are pricing in a 37.8% chance that the Fed will deliver another 25-basis-point rate hike at its policy meeting next month. The euro and British pound regained some ground against the dollar, but were struggling to recoup recent losses. Sterling gained 0.4% to $1.23670, after data showed British consumers picked up spending in April.

Fox News: Connecticut absolves 12 people convicted of witchcraft, apologizes for 'miscarriage of justice'
Connecticut absolves 12 people convicted of witchcraft, apologizes for 'miscarriage of justice'
Connecticut senators have voted to clear the names of 12 men and women convicted of witchcraft over a 15-year period of the state’s history, which saw 11 of those convicted executed. A resolution passed with a ratio of 33-1 to acknowledge the innocence of the accused and apologise for the miscarriage of justice suffered. A bill in support was passed by the House of Representatives by 121-30 votes earlier this year. The nine women and two men executed and a woman convicted and sentenced to a reprieve were named in the resolution.

Nine of the accused were hanged in New Haven town square, while the other two were hanged in nearby Hartford. The resolution does not require the Governor's signature, and although Republican state Senator Rob Sampson cast the only no vote, others argued that such recognition is important, seeing it as an opportunity to acknowledge the problem of witch trials worldwide, and to learn from past mistakes.

The Federalist Papers: One Year After Roe v Wade Overturned Planned Parenthood to Begin Mass Layoffs
One Year After Roe v Wade Overturned Planned Parenthood to Begin Mass Layoffs
Planned Parenthood is expected to cut 10-20% of its national workforce, totaling at least 80 job losses, as part of a plan to restructure and support local affiliates. This comes after the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, allowing individual states to regulate abortion. Union officials expressed disappointment, citing challenging economic conditions and reproductive freedom concerns. Planned Parenthood plans to invest an additional $70 million in affiliate support, enhance telehealth services, and increase investment in national elections and initiatives related to race. CEO Alexis McGill Johnson stresses the need for change in this altered landscape.

The girl's story was initially met with skepticism but a 27-year-old Ohio man, Gerson Fuentes, was later arrested for felony rape after confessing to the crime. Twitter Engineering Chief Quits After Glitches Plague DeSantis' Campaign Launch on the Platform
Foad Dabiri, Twitter's Engineering Lead for Growth, left the company after four years, following technical issues during Florida Governor DeSantis' presidential campaign announcement. Dabiri, who studied computer science at UCLA and founded health tech company Wanda, called the two distinct eras at Twitter "challenging," but praised the "extraordinary individuals" behind the platform. The former employee said Spaces was "largely a prototype" and that Twitter's acquisition of Periscope likely contributed to the glitches.

The Epoch Times: A Beginner’s Guide to Maintaining Focus
A Beginner’s Guide to Maintaining Focus
Achieving your objectives boils down to focus. The formula for progress is to divide the time available by the number of goals being pursued and multiply by the length of focus. Spreading yourself too thin and constantly trying new things is problematic. Resist human nature by letting go of dreams and avoiding the pull of novelty. To stay focused, create an ‘Avoid at All Costs’ List, ask the question ‘What are the few things that really matter?’, and use a visual aid to highlight priorities.

'Succession' Prediction: Oddsmakers Give It To Shiv—But Wall Street Experts Aren't So Sure
Wall Street analysts believe that the best option to lead Logan Roy's conglomerate is Gerri Kellman, a "tough" veteran who "understands the business" and has "at least a little bit of a soul" compared to other Succession characters. Peerage Capital Chairman Miles Nadal thinks an outsider "free of all that toxic family baggage" should take control of the company. Many billionaires who were asked who should succeed Roy in the show were uninterested, with some of them not even familiar with Succession.

Fox News: Biden misfire: Gun rights group urges House to block ATF rule banning pistol braces
Biden misfire: Gun rights group urges House to block ATF rule banning pistol braces
Gun rights groups are pressuring House Republican leadership to vote against a new ATF rule banning pistol braces. The brace was originally invented in 2012 to help disabled veterans shoot independently. The new rule could result in up to 10 years' imprisonment or $10,000 in fines or both for those that do not comply. Pro-gun politicians are attempting to force vulnerable Democrats representing pro-gun states to vote against the new rule. The deadline for the new regulation is June 1st. A Fifth Circuit Court panel issued a temporary injunction on Wednesday, pausing the ATF’s rule.
