Daily Wire: Democrats Fume As Biden Fumbles Debt Ceiling Talks: ‘Never Seen Anything Like It’
Democrats Fume As Biden Fumbles Debt Ceiling Talks: ‘Never Seen Anything Like It’
The White House and House Republicans are struggling to reach an agreement on raising the debt ceiling, with Democrats growing increasingly frustrated with Biden's lack of action. Negotiators have until June 6 to reach a deal before mandatory spending cuts take effect. A recent Fox News poll showed that 47% of registered voters would blame the president if talks derailed, while 44% would blame the GOP, putting pressure on Biden to make a stronger case to the public. Democrats are pushing for Biden to be more aggressive and are considering invoking the 14th Amendment to raise the debt ceiling unilaterally.

DeSantis noted differences, such as opposing amnesty for illegal immigrants and not following Anthony Fauci's advice, which resulted in Florida faring better during the pandemic. Trump's recent comments praising Andrew Cuomo's handling of the pandemic were called "bizarre," and DeSantis expressed hope that if faced with a similar situation, Trump would not make the same decisions again. DeSantis also criticized Fauci's decisions, which set the U.S. on a path to inflation and stated that he would fire individuals like Fauci if he were president.

The Epoch Times: IN-DEPTH: Transgender Movement Has 'Dangerous' Hidden Motivations, Says Former LGBT Activist
IN-DEPTH: Transgender Movement Has 'Dangerous' Hidden Motivations, Says Former LGBT Activist
Companies are embracing transgenderism despite consumer opposition in order to be part of a fast-growing and lucrative industry, Kay Yang, a women's rights activist, has warned. Yang claims the push for transgenderism is part of a wider philosophical movement aimed at enabling the human body to be customised with sex-change surgery, technological advances and more. Yang believes that transgenderism's widespread acceptance by society will benefit the "transhumanism" movement, which seeks to merge human biology with manmade technology. Transhumanism requires separation of the soul from the body and promotes "biohacking," which is the practice of implanting technology in the human body in order to provide new senses and abilities, Yang claims. This is facilitating a new industry in which people's bodies may become available for rent.

Breitbart: Breitbart Business Digest: Inflation Is Still Stuck on Us
Breitbart Business Digest: Inflation Is Still Stuck on Us
Inflation levels have continued to rise in the US and it is becoming increasingly difficult to justify not raising rates at the next meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee . The Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index for April was released on Friday, revealing a four-tenths of a percentage point increase in inflation. The sustainability of inflation is being questioned by economists with Fed Chair Jerome Powell looking at alternative metrics that include PCE core services inflation excluding housing .

The message from median PCE inflation is that it is likely that inflation will not move down anytime soon, causing economists to predict the Fed will raise their forecasts for inflation at the next meeting . The Dallas Fed calculates 16% trimmed mean PCE inflation as another measure intended to reveal underlying inflation, with the one-month annualised figure for April increasing to 4.4%. Even if the Fed does opt to hold rates unchanged, it is likely to send the message that this is merely a “skip” until the July meeting rather than the beginning of a long-term pause.
