Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis officially enters the 2024 GOP presidential primary, setting up a match against former President Donald Trump.
DeSantis's announcement was followed by Trump’s mocking video on Truth Social, in which he listed fake people listening to the announcement and including several inflammatory figures.
Fox News: Tim Scott embraces American optimism and hard left media are already dumping on him
Senator Tim Scott, the only Black Republican Senator, announced his candidacy for presidency in 2024. However, the liberal media is mocking him as a caricature and token Black Republican in hopes of labeling the Republican party as a pack of white supremacists. MSNBC host Rachel Maddow even mocked Scott's vocal delivery, comparing him to a teenage white boy going through puberty. Furthermore, the pompous pundettes on ABC's "The View" lectured Scott, calling him a promoter of victimhood and pushing the "Clarence Thomas Syndrome." Journalists also mocked Scott's Christianity, making invasive personal comments that highlight hypocrisy in their "diversity, equity, and inclusion" agenda. Despite the media's efforts to demean and caricature Scott and the Republican party, Scott's vision for America is a breath of fresh air.

Political violence erupted during a Democrat nomination in Minneapolis, resulting in the shut down of the event due to safety concerns, leaving no candidate chosen in Ward 10. The riot was carried out by Somalian supporters of city council candidate Nasri Warsame who assaulted Minneapolis city council member Aisha Chughtai and her supporters while shouting over them. The violence and chaos demonstrated in the meeting is the norm for politics in Somalia and is part of their culture. The fact that Somalis feel comfortable enough to enact their culture in America is connected to the Rule of Numbers, and the display should not be surprising given that Somalis make up nearly 20% of the population of Minneapolis.

Target has drawn criticism for selling "Pride Month" merchandise and partnering with Satanic brands that promote LGBT-positive messages. The sales have spurred controversy in the culture wars, but The Wall Street Journal failed to properly cover the issue until well into its reporting. The backlash has caused a drop in the retailer's stock price and prompted outrage from California Gov. Gavin Newsom and civil-rights group the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Asda is set to acquire EG Group's U.K. and Irish gas station forecourts in a $1.5 billion deal that could be finalized soon. The supermarket chain aims to boost its convenience retailing arm by fast-tracking growth through gas stations and its recently-launched Asda Express format. The deal is expected to create a combined business worth around $12.4 billion and generate cost savings of approximately $125 million, which will help Asda's pivot into convenience stores.
Forbes: Chevron's PDC Energy Acquisition Signals Confidence
Chevron has agreed to acquire PDC Energy for $6.3bn in an all-stock transaction. PDC Energy has operations in Colorado and Texas in the Rocky Mountains and Permian Basin. Chevron is one of the world’s largest oil companies, with operations in more than 180 countries around the globe. The acquisition will give Chevron access to PDC Energy's assets in two of the most prolific oil and natural gas producing regions in the US and is expected to close in the second half of 2023, adding around $1bn in annual free cash flow and boosting returns.

Former Hunter College professor Shellyne Rodriguez was arrested on charges of harassment and menacing after threatening a New York Post reporter with a machete. Rodriguez was fired from the school after a viral video showed her holding the machete against the reporter's neck and tossing a pro-life group's pamphlets on the floor while shouting profanities. The former art professor blamed "racists, White nationalists, and misogynists" for her firing and accused right-wing media of sensationalizing the case.
Fox News' Greg Gutfeld joked that Rodriguez is a "victim" of machete-phobia and argued that her actions clearly crossed a line. Co-host Dana Perino criticized the school for not firing Rodriguez after the incident with the pro-life group. Judge Jeanine Pirro called Rodriguez a bully and urged students to stand up for their First Amendment rights. The New York Post and Fox News share common ownership.

Arkansas Razorbacks football player Kade Renfro has been dismissed from the team following allegations of sexual assault and harassment made against him on social media.
