Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced his presidential candidacy during a Twitter Spaces event with Elon Musk, who stole the show. The dialogue not only revealed aspects of DeSantis’s primary strategy, but also clarified some animating ideas behind his corner of the New Right. Governor Newsom criticized Target's decision to move LGBTQ products to the back of some stores after conservatives and Christians expressed outrage. However, America is more woke than ever, and Target sells no other pride apparel. Newsom's claim that women could be "next" is ridiculous, as Target's products are largely for women. Newsom's statement that those who oppose transgender apparel for toddlers and Satanists are "extremists" is repugnant and dangerous.
