Fox News: GOP-led states step up with troops, law enforcement to help Texas tackle border woes
Republican-led states, including Tennessee, Nebraska, Mississippi, and Florida, are sending troops and law enforcement resources to help secure the southern border with Mexico. Since 2021, Texas has been hit hard by the crisis at the border, with more than 1.7 million migrant encounters in FY 2021 and more than 2.3 million in FY22, and now other Republican states are stepping up to help. The crisis has been widely debated, with the Biden administration and Republicans blaming each other, but states continue to provide resources to address the situation.
The Title 42 public health order has ended, allowing for the rapid removal of migrants at the border due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Texas has surged resources to the border with Operation Lone Star, and the Biden administration has sent its own resources to the border, including at the ports of entry and extra processing power. However, now states with Republican governors are mobilizing resources, particularly as Title 42 has ended. Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves mobilized National Guard troops to support Customs and Border Protection officers and agents, but officials have suggested that state efforts may be politically motivated.

American Thinker: A solution for the California reparations problem
Reparations for California Blacks should be paid in Confederate currency, even if it has to be printed. The Union has paid its share of reparations through the deaths of hundreds of thousands of young men. Those who receive the currency can spend it with anyone who voluntarily recognizes its value.
Fox News: Black conservatives warn reparations are a 'scheme' to gain votes: 'Promise the moon' then 'deliver nothing'
Conservatives warn Black Americans not to trust Democrats on reparations, accusing them of using the issue to gain votes. Some cities and states have formed commissions to create reparations pilot programs, while Rep. Cori Bush and other progressive lawmakers unveiled a resolution calling for $14 trillion in reparations for Black Americans. Critics argue that the push for reparations is a cynical tactic that divides the country further and won't actually be implemented. Republicans should stand for equal opportunity and protection, rather than being afraid of being called racist, according to former Princeton professor Dr. Carol Swain.
American Thinker: TDS surging again, must be addressed
Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is back and on the rise. It causes erratic behavior, illogical thoughts, and bouts of ranting or violence. Lockdowns and social distancing laws should be enacted to keep those affected at a distance from others. Once an effective vaccine is developed, mandates should be put in place and voting privileges revoked for those who refuse to get vaccinated. TDS disproportionately affects marginalized groups like the LGBTQ community, media, academia, and entertainment.
American Thinker: 18 Years for J6er, wrist slap for wannabe Nazi assassin
Sai Vashti Kandula, a man driving a rented U-Haul truck, threatened to kill the President and crashed into a barrier near the White House. He carried a Nazi flag in his backpack and admires their history. Kandula knew he was risking serious jail time, but only received one charge of depredation of property, which was ignored by the media, and his immigration status is unclear.
The federal authorities showed a lack of caution and didn't clear the immediate area before searching Kandula's truck. Kandula's case demonstrates the disparity in sentencing and media coverage between those who fit the "white supremacy" profile and those who don't, like Kandula. Media also remained silent about the disappearance of a rail car carrying 60,000 pounds of ammonium nitrate, a possible security threat, while Biden called white supremacy America's "most dangerous terrorist threat."

Forbes: Miami Heat’s Cap Situation Could Prevent Key Signings In Summer
The Miami Heat are one win away from the NBA Finals, but they have a complicated salary situation for next season. Undrafted players like Max Strus and Gabe Vincent are likely in for pay increases as they become free agents, and the Heat will have to navigate their cap space after giving long-term deals to Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Tyler Herro. The team may need to find new homes for expensive contracts like Kyle Lowry and Duncan Robinson, and could possibly trade Herro for draft picks to improve their cap situation.

Palou, who hails from Spain, is sponsored by the American Legion and carries its logo and slogan, "Be The One," on his car. The campaign seeks to reduce and ultimately end the number of suicides among US veterans. The driver said that his team's veterans and learning more about their experiences helped him understand the sacrifices they made, and that he now sees the campaign as important to saving lives and raising awareness.
