This was the first jump in PCE inflation since October, highlighting a boost in consumption of goods and services. Fox News: CatholicVote launches $1M campaign calling for LA Dodgers boycott over anti-Catholic drag queens
Catholic advocacy organization CatholicVote has called for a boycott of the Los Angeles Dodgers over their support of the anti-Catholic drag queen troupe Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. The organization claims that their members, supported by millions of devoted Catholics across America, believe in the traditional values of life, family, and freedom celebrated by the team. In an open letter to Dodgers principal owner Mark Walter and CEO Stan Kasten, CatholicVote condemned the troupes' religious mockery and alleged that the team's decision to honor them had generated "extraordinary harm and hurt".
Catholic Bishop Robert Barron of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester, Minnesota, has also called for a boycott, declaring the Dodgers' attitude to be supporting mockery of sacred beliefs. Dodgers administration issued an apology after announcing that the group would no longer be honored at a June 16 event, but then immediately reinstated the invitation after LA Pride withdrew their participation in solidarity with the group. The initial decision to extend the invitation met with considerable backlash from Catholic groups, who Burch asserts will be motivated by a $1 million ad campaign to boycott the team.

The policy only affects those arrested for misdemeanors and non-violent felonies, with sexual offenses, domestic violence, and weapons offenses exempt. Repeat offenders can be made subject to bail payments.
