Breitbart: Poll: Trump Holds 31-Point Lead over DeSantis in Nevada
Former President Donald Trump leads in Nevada's Republican primary with 51% support, according to a Vote TXT poll. Gov. Ron DeSantis trails behind with 21%, while other potential candidates trail in single digits. Trump and DeSantis both beat President Joe Biden in a hypothetical general election matchup.
Breitbart: Ron DeSantis Campaign Raised Record $8.2 Million on Launch Day
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis launched his campaign for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination and raised $8.2 million in the first 24 hours, more than $1 million of which was raised in the first hour. Despite a glitchy Twitter launch, the donations are seen as a sign of DeSantis' contender status against current GOP frontrunner, former President Donald Trump. The donations include online contributions and funds secured by bundlers, with the money going toward both the primary and general election.
Fox News: GREG GUTFELD: The media's strategy, as always, is to demonize Republican candidates
Gov. Ron DeSantis announces his candidacy for president in an audio stream with Elon Musk on Twitter, with technical difficulties delaying his speech for 25 minutes. DeSantis blasts the Florida NAACP chapter for releasing a travel advisory against travel to the state. CNN headline claims DeSantis is just as dangerous as Trump or more, while Joy Behar and others criticize Tim Scott. Media and Dems view DeSantis as a threat, often demonizing him as evil, which they did with Trump, even committing voter fraud. Expect the same with DeSantis running in 2024.
Breitbart: DeSantis: 'I'm Leaning Into' and Winning Every Issue Old Guard GOP Shied Away From
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis says he is leaning into issues the "old guard" of the Republican Party would shy away from. DeSantis stated that people saying he is lining up with the establishment wing of the party is “just manufactured garbage that people put out there online.” He further claimed that he would take on issues that the old guard of the Republican Party would have shied away from, such as supporting their children against the pronoun olympics, banning gender transition surgeries for minors, and signing the bill to ban land purchases from people affiliated with the CCP in the state of Florida. He added that if he were elected president, after two terms, he would leave woke ideology in the dustbin of history.
Townhall: Why Biden’s Latest Gun Control Push Will Backfire Too
President Biden's unpopularity and incompetence in negotiations with Congress are hindering his left-wing cause, especially when it comes to gun control. Despite barely 30% of Americans approving of his gun policy, Biden insists on pushing gun control, exploiting the issue for election-year politics. However, Biden and his allies know that he cannot get the votes to get anything passed. Furthermore, the Uvalde shooting was a law enforcement failure, reminding Americans that the right to bear arms could have saved lives, but it didn't because the good guys were outdone by a bad guy, not the Second Amendment's irrelevance. The police could have used their guns to take down the gunman before it was too late, and yet they didn't. ( )
Breitbart: After Cooperating With Feds at Twitter, Jack Dorsey Invokes JFK Call to Destroy CIA, FBI, NSA
Jack Dorsey, former Twitter CEO, quoted JFK on Twitter, calling to “splinter” the FBI, NSA, and CIA and scatter them into the wind. However, critics quickly pointed out that the security state, specifically the FBI, had a great deal of influence over Twitter policy during Dorsey’s tenure as CEO. Journalist Tom Elliott accused Dorsey of building a “one-way pipeline” for the FBI to censor content on Twitter and hiring FBI agents to keep the agency “happy.” Others, such as Elon Musk, the current temporary CEO of Twitter, expressed support for Dorsey’s statement.

The Epoch Times: South Korea, US Troops Hold Large Live-Fire Drills Near Border With North Korea
The South Korean and U.S. militaries began five rounds of live-fire exercises near the border with North Korea, marking 70 years of military alliance between Seoul and Washington. Despite North Korea's warning against what it calls an invasion rehearsal, the drills have been conducted in strong force involving 2,500 troops, 610 weapons systems and 11 fighter jets from both countries, and simulated strikes on front-line North Korean military facilities in response to an attack. North Korea has test-launched more than 100 missiles since the beginning of 2022, observing US-South Korean joint exercises, taking advantage of the situation to advance its weapons development and to ultimately wrest greater concessions from its rivals in eventual diplomacy.

Townhall: Memorial Day: America’s Transcendent Holiday
Memorial Day originated after the Civil War with a group of prayerful women decorating the graves of both Union and Confederate soldiers, creating a catalyst for national reconciliation. The holiday evolved to honor all American military personnel who died in subsequent wars and to remind us of the country's founding ideals of natural rights and morality.

Townhall: A Symptom of Urban Crime's Toll on College Students
Violent crime targeting college students in urban environments is on the rise, with Washington D.C. seeing a particularly alarming surge. Contributing factors include poverty, drug addiction, and the breakdown of the family structure. Solutions must include investing in education, job training, and community development, as well as supporting law enforcement agencies. It is essential to elect leaders who prioritize public safety and hold them accountable for their actions.

The Epoch Times: Murder, Cruelty Charges Dismissed in Georgia Toddler's Hot Car Death
Prosecutors will not retry Justin Ross Harris, who was previously found guilty on eight counts, including malice murder, in relation to the death of his 22-month-old son, Cooper, who died after being left in a hot car in June 2014. After an appeal overturned his murder and child cruelty convictions, prosecutors reviewed the case and decided not to retry Harris on the reversed counts. The charges for three sex crimes committed against a 16-year-old girl were upheld, and Harris will continue to serve the 12 years for those crimes. Harris’ lawyers maintained that Harris was a loving father and the boy’s death was a tragic accident.

The victims were found in the bathroom, having been shot elsewhere in the home. A co-worker of Lisbet Olalde, Cesar's sister, had gone to the home and forced his way in, where he was confronted by Cesar. He reported that Cesar claimed to have killed his family because they were cannibals and were going to eat him.

The Epoch Times: Chip Giant Nvidia Nears Trillion-Dollar Status on AI Bet
Nvidia stock surged 24% after a stellar revenue forecast proved that Wall Street is underpricing the potential of AI. Its market capitalisation surged by $184bn to almost $939bn, making it twice as big as Taiwan’s TSMC, the second-largest chip firm in the world. The chipmaker trails only trillion dollar American companies Apple, Alphabet, Microsoft, and Amazon in the US, and the positive earnings also fuelled rallies across the chip and AI sectors. Stacy Rasgon of Bernstein said that Nvidia’s Q2 outlook “annihilated expectations.” Big Tech firms pivoting to AI could benefit if the industry boom proves to be a strong driver of growth, experts said.
