Breitbart: Dem Rep. Khanna: I Feel Bad for Speaker McCarthy, He's Beholden to 'Extremes' in His Party
Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA) blames the Republicans for the current debt ceiling crisis in the US. He says the President is simply following his constitutional authority and the Republicans should not be holding the country hostage. Khanna feels bad for House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) because he has to deal with extreme members of his party.
Townhall: Texas House Committee Recommends Impeaching Attorney General Ken Paxton
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton faces potential impeachment after a 5-0 vote by a Texas House of Representatives investigative committee on Thursday found evidence that he broke several laws and misused his power to aid a political donor. Paxton, a Republican, has been under felony security charges since 2015 and is also being investigated by the FBI over bribery claims. Despite these charges and accusations of misconduct, Paxton has been re-elected twice. If the House votes to impeach him, he would be removed from his position pending the outcome of a trial in the state Senate.
Townhall: The Case for Ron DeSantis
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is expected to run for president in 2024 and is the only viable Republican candidate against Donald Trump. DeSantis has shown courage and leadership during the pandemic, which led many people to move to Florida, making it a red state, and enact a sweeping right-wing agenda. He opposes wokeism and fights back against anti-Americanist critical race theory and gender ideology. DeSantis' impressive leadership has secured a voter registration advantage for an entire generation or two for the Republican Party of Florida.
Breitbart: Texas House Committee Votes Unanimously for 20 Articles of Impeachment Against AG Ken Paxton
The Texas House General Investigating Committee approved 20 articles of impeachment against Attorney General Ken Paxton, including allegations of bribery and misapplication of public resources. If a simple majority of the Texas House approves the articles in a vote that could take place by Saturday, Paxton would be immediately suspended from his position pending a trial by the Texas Senate, where a two-thirds vote would be required for his removal. Paxton called the vote a political attack. The Texas Legislature can remain in session beyond its scheduled end to fulfill its role in the impeachment process.

The Epoch Times: UN Rapporteur Speaks Out Against Censorship of Women's Rights Advocates
UN special rapporteur Reem Alsalem has called on law enforcement to protect lawful gatherings by women rallying against transgender individuals entering female-only spaces. She expressed concern at the presence of aggressive and violent activists at rallies in Australia, New Zealand, Scotland and the US. Alsalem added that law enforcement has a crucial role in ensuring the safety of women at such events. While transgender activists have a right to protest, they should not resort to violence or threats, said the envoy. She also warned against tactics aimed at deterring women from expressing their views.
Townhall: Target Starts Culture War Fire, Gets Burnt
Target faced a backlash after partnering with a British satanist to promote satanic imagery in its stores, with critics questioning its promotion of LGBT messages that also featured satanic references. The company's lack of response to criticisms, combined with its withdrawal of pride merchandise after team members' fears for their safety, prompted boycotts and caused the stock price to fall. The controversy was initially downplayed in the media, with a Wall Street Journal report only raising the matter in its final paragraphs, and left-wing voices portraying the criticisms as misinformation spread by right-wing extremists. The surge in gender confusion and amputation is viewed as the result of a culture war, and critics argue that the promotion of divisive messages by woke corporations like Target fuels the growing trend.

Forbes: Recent Events Cement AL East (Beast) As The Best Division In Baseball
The AL East division has reduced the number of annual encounters between opponents from 19 to 13 games. The Yankees played 14 times against divisional opponents in a recent 22-game stretch, with 7 victories. The AL East is currently the only division with all five teams over .500, with the Orioles cementing their status as a second-place team, and the Blue Jays resorting to calling a team meeting. Despite the tougher competition, the recent round-robin tournament-like feel of the division cements its lofty status as the best of the six divisions.

Breitbart: Supreme Court Reins EPA Power in Sackett Homeowner Case
The Supreme Court scaled back the Environmental Protection Agency’s power under the Clean Water Act by defining the “waters of the United States” on Thursday in Sackett v. EPA. The Sackett family purchased a property in a residential area in 2004 to build a home, however, the EPA told them in 2007 that their lot may be a federally protected wetland and that they had to restore and abandon the property or face thousands of dollars in daily fines. The decision permanently scaled back the EPA’s reach, holding that “the CWA’s use of “waters” encompasses only those relatively permanent, standing, or continuously flowing bodies of water forming geographical features that are described in ordinary parlance as ‘streams, oceans, rivers, and lakes,’” emphasizing the new limit on EPA’s reach.
