Breitbart: Marco Rubio: Joe Biden's Open Borders Damages Other Nations
Marco Rubio: Joe Biden's Open Borders Damages Other Nations
GOP Sen. Marco Rubio claims that President Joe Biden’s open borders policy is devastating poorer countries by draining their young people and enriching their criminals. Rubio argues that Biden’s administration talks of stabilizing impoverished nations while policies lure migrant people away with political promises and fuel cartel industries. The welcome for illegal migration wrecks smaller countries, causing a defeatist mentality that leads to hopeless communities. Rubio’s op-ed claims that those calling for open borders are partly responsible for this suffering because they release a spirit of lawlessness that organized criminals will harness for their own benefit.

Macron Outrages Left After Echoing 'Great Replacement' Author
French President Emmanuel Macron has upset the left wing of the country by using "decivilisation" to describe France's current state. In a closed-door Council of Ministers session, Macron said the country was threatened with "deconstruction" due to a surge in violent incidents against politicians. The left wing in France takes issue with the word's association with right-wing philosopher Renaud Camus, whose book of the same name outlined the "great replacement" theory; which claims Western governments wish to replace native populations with migrants. Macron's critics, including groups such as the European Union, see the use of the word as endorsing Camus's ideas.

MRC Free Speech America also claimed that the university's approach was among the most radical of the grant programme.

women’s events
British Cycling bans trans-identified males from women's events, who will now compete in the "open category" with men. The move aims to ensure biological females participate in women's races, avoiding competition from trans-identified males. Emily Bridges, a man who identifies as a woman, was unhappy with the rule change and described it as a "violent act" by a "failed organization" engaging in "culture wars". British Cycling's recent policy reviewed research on the fact that trans-identified men retain a physical advantage, even with testosterone suppression, which favors their competing against biological females in women's events.

Fox News: Russian strike on Ukrainian hospital kills 2, injures over 20
Russian strike on Ukrainian hospital kills 2, injures over 20
Russian missiles hit a medical clinic in Dnipro, Ukraine, killing two people and injuring 23 others. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attack, calling the Russians "fighters against everything humane and honest." The conflict has seen Russia resorting to older, low-tech bombs due to their tactical advantage over modern missile defense systems.

President Biden's administration announced plans to train Ukrainian pilots on the F-16 fighter aircraft. The move is part of a larger international effort to provide Ukraine with the F-16s it has requested. However, Biden had previously resisted providing the aircraft, fearing it would escalate the conflict with Russia. Some argue that the F-16 could be used for offensive operations, despite the U.S. only intending to provide defensive capabilities.

The film honors family without sugarcoating the inevitable embarrassment and lack of gratitude, but still manages to make us laugh with grace notes like gently wading into a mist of cologne, just like Pappy taught.

WHO Issues 'Conditional' Recommendation Advising Against Nonsugar Sweeteners for Weight Loss
The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned people not to use nonsugar sweeteners (NSS) if trying to lose weight, instead recommending that individuals opt for food and beverages with naturally occurring sugars. The WHO cited “potential undesirable effects” for the long-term use of NSS, including an increased risk of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and mortality. The WHO noted, however, that the recommendation was conditional and “based on evidence of low certainty overall”. The guidance comes after a study published in March which suggested that the popular artificial sweetener, erythritol, is linked to an increased risk of heart attack and strokes.
