Daily Wire: Law And Order Works: Illegal Aliens Already ‘Self-Deporting’ Out Of Florida Before New Immigration Rules Even Begin
Florida's tough immigration law, enacted by Governor Ron DeSantis, is causing illegal aliens to "self-deport" from the state, according to reports. The law requires employers to use E-Verify, punishes them with a $1,000 daily fine for non-compliance and suspends licenses of those knowingly employing undocumented workers. The legislation also imposes penalties for using false IDs for employment purposes and bars local authorities from issuing identification cards to illegal immigrants. Despite criticism from organizations such as the League of United Latin American Citizens, many view the measures as a means to preserve economic stability and protect American citizens.

Daily Wire: ‘Please Tell Me That’s Not True’: Dems Can’t Believe Biden Is Ditching Town Amid Debt Talks, Report Claims
Congressional Democrats are growing frustrated with President Joe Biden's lack of action and communication surrounding the looming national debt default. Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy is demanding a deal to stave off default, but Biden is heading to Camp David for Memorial Day weekend. The Blaze: PROOF Bud Light, Target boycotts ARE WORKING. But will it last?
Target CEO defended the company's woke campaigns as good business decisions and "the right thing to do for society," but Target is now facing backlash and violence from customers. The retail giant will pull some of its LGBTQ-friendly kids clothing due to the backlash, claiming fears for workers' safety. Glenn Beck believes the growing societal pressure against Target and woke campaigns is a good thing and may pressure others to choose alternative stores. The company was promoting occult-themed and satanic LGBTQ clothing and accessories, which has added to the controversy.
PJ Media: Biden Cries Murder on Anniversary of George Floyd’s Death
Joe Biden revived the lie that George Floyd was murdered due to police violence, on the third anniversary of his death. Biden tweeted that his death has exposed the need for America to ensure fair and impartial justice for all, but this is just stirring up racial hatred as Floyd did not die of asphyxia or strangulation. Democrats exploited Floyd's death for political or financial gain and BLM, which made millions following his death, is headed for insolvency. Biden is an untrustworthy president, happy to violate the Constitution, and kneecapping law enforcement while violent crime is on the rise.
Fox News: DeSantis torches Trump over COVID lockdowns: 'He turned the country over to Fauci'
Florida Governor and Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis criticized former President Donald Trump for handing over the country to Dr. Anthony Fauci during the pandemic, stating that the move destroyed millions of lives. DeSantis argued that his approach in Florida, standing against media, bureaucracy, and even some Republicans, had helped the state outperform virtually every other state in the country in terms of significant metrics. He also dismissed Trump's attacks against his candidacy and claimed that Trump was going after him because "he understands I'm the candidate who can beat him."
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases' former director, Dr. Fauci, was criticized for strongly advocating mask mandates and lockdowns throughout the pandemic. Trump and his team of advisors often disagreed with Fauci, who made frequent appearances in the media during the pandemic. Despite the contentious relationship, DeSantis criticized the former president for turning over the country to Fauci and causing damage to Americans' lives.
Breitbart: Massie: DeSantis Didn't Shut Down While 'Trump Was Urging Governors to Shut Their Economies Down'
Rep. Thomas Massie endorses Ron DeSantis for President in 2024 citing DeSantis's successful management of the economy during the pandemic, not shutting down beaches or gyms and firing his surgeon general for one that followed common sense. Massie argues that Trump should have fired Fauci and that DeSantis will be able to reach out to young people who were adversely affected by COVID lockdowns.
PJ Media: Jailed Luggage Thief Sam Brinton Is Also a Member of the L.A. Dodgers' Favorite Anti-Catholic Group
Former nuclear waste czar and self-proclaimed "Sister Ray Dee O'Active" Sam Brinton, who stole women's luggage and posed in their clothes, is also a member of an anti-Catholic political group and is now in jail for felony theft. Brinton, who dresses like a clown, stole a suitcase belonging to an African designer at Reagan Airport in 2018 and is awaiting trial. Despite being a key contributor at the Department of Energy, he has also appeared on the show of a drag queen nun and enthused about his life and drag persona.
After announcing they would celebrate the anti-Christian drag nuns, the Los Angeles Dodgers reversed their decision due to complaints from Catholics, but then apologized and invited them back. Meanwhile, Brinton, who is in "pre-placement hold" at the Montgomery County jail, will be housed with the men in "general population." One wonders how the June 16 Dodgers game against San Francisco, which has a high percentage of Latino Catholics, will be received.
Breitbart: Poll: Donald Trump Dominates Iowa Caucus by 42 Points
Trump leads Republican primary field in Iowa caucus by 42 points, according to Emerson College Polling data. DeSantis came in second with 20 percent support, followed by Pence and Haley tied for third, Scott, Ramaswamy, Sununu, and Hutchinson. National Review: DeSantis Campaign Says It Raised $8.2 Million in 24 Hours after Launch
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis raised $8.2 million in the first 24 hours of his 2024 presidential bid, with help from Elon Musk in a Twitter Spaces conversation that caused audio glitches. DeSantis's campaign took the technological issues in stride, saying that there was so much enthusiasm for his vision that he "literally busted up the internet." The haul exceeded the $6.3 million President Biden raised in his first 24 hours as a candidate in 2019.

Fox News: Minnesota Gov. Walz signs paid family, medical leave bill into law
Minnesota Governor, Tim Walz, has signed a bill requiring employers to provide paid family and medical leave until 2026, with up to 12 weeks of leave per year, capped at 20 weeks for combined leave. The program will be funded by a 0.7% payroll tax on employers. Minnesota joins 12 other states and the District of Columbia in having a paid family and medical leave program, which supporters say addresses the disparity that exists in the existing unpaid leave program, giving workers who have not been able to care for their families before the ability to do so. Opponents argue that compliance will be burdensome, but supporters argue that the program will ultimately reduce inequality and improve employee morale.
Fox News: Kohberger victim's family dubs her birthday 'Maddie May Day,' encourages acts of kindness
The family of Madison Mogen, one of four students killed in a stabbing attack last fall, created a holiday to celebrate her birthday: Maddie May Day, during which people should commit acts of kindness. The idea has spread across social media and people are taking part by donating to charity, leaving gifts and bringing treats to others. There is no requirement for people to be anywhere or do anything specific, making the idea both simple and effective. Madison Mogen was killed in November 2022, and a former criminology student at Washington State University has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths.
Forbes: Target Corp. Stresses Core Values As Conservatives Rail Against Retailer’s Support Of LGBTQIA+ Community

Daily Wire: The Tide Is Turning: Prominent Christians Talk Effective Target And Bud Light Boycotts
Conservative consumers are hitting companies that promote LGBT ideology where it counts: their wallets. Following backlash, Target and other firms are backtracking on Pride merchandise promoting transgenderism, a move Wall Street has taken note of. The boycott has hurt brands such as Bud Light and Anheuser-Busch to the tune of nearly $16 billion and $6 billion in lost market capitalization respectively. Bishop Barron also called for a boycott of the Los Angeles Dodgers after the team partnered with the highly controversial, anti-Catholic "Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence" LGBT group.

Breitbart: Displaced Ethiopians Hold Massive Demonstrations After Aid Suspended
IDPs in Ethiopia’s Tigray region staged protests over delays in returning home, continued presence of hostile militia forces, and suspension of humanitarian aid. They demand immediate solutions from the federal government, Tigrayan government, and international organizations. Aid suspension has left IDPs vulnerable to hunger and disease, pushing them into dire situations. The conflict has displaced huge numbers of people, especially in Tigray, where human rights groups say there was an ethnic cleansing campaign that drove some 70,000 Tigray residents across the border into Sudan.
American Thinker: John Bolton the war hawk braggart ridicules President Trump for his America First foreign policy
John Bolton criticized President Trump's understanding of international relations and America's place in the world. However, under Trump's leadership, many international crises were averted, such as nuclear threats from North Korea and Iran's downing of a U.S. drone. Trump also secured the Abraham peace accords, moved the US embassy to Jerusalem, and put sanctions on China and Russia. Bolton, like many Democrats, seems to prefer swamp creatures who fail to achieve real results.

Forbes: Minnesota Governor Vetoes Rideshare Minimum Pay Bill After Uber Threatens To Leave State
Minnesota Democrat Governor Tim Walz has vetoed a bill passed by the state's House and Senate that would have laid down minimum pay rates for ride-hailing drivers, such as those working for Uber and Lyft. The plan, which would have required a $5 fee plus at least $1.45 per mile within the Twin Cities area as well as 34 cents per minute spent driving customers, led Uber to threaten to halt most of its services in the state if it were enacted. Walz said he had "set up a working group to recommend new ride-share rules next year" adding he was committed to "finding solutions that balance the interests of all parties, including drivers and riders."

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has said that Congress has until early June to lift the debt ceiling, afterward the government may struggle to pay its bills. However, a deal is not yet in sight. Initially, a potential deal was said to be in reach, but a chasm existed just a few days ago, and House Financial Services Committee Chairman Patrick McHenry has said serious issues still need to be worked out. The debt ceiling bill would have to have the proper formula of Democratic and Republican votes with Republicans pushing to cut spending to 2022 levels while Democrats want to freeze spending at this year’s levels. The issue is expected to be bipartisan and include Democratic priorities.

Fox News: Rhode Island AG files suit against 'forever chemical' manufacturers
Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha is suing PFAS manufacturers, alleging that they've caused significant harm to residents and natural resources. The lawsuit accuses the companies of violating state environmental and consumer protection laws, and accuses them of having knowingly sold and marketed hazardous chemicals for decades. PFAS chemicals have been linked to cancer and do not degrade in the environment.
The American Chemistry Council has backed stronger and science-based regulation of PFAS. It has said, however, that overly broad restrictions could hit economic growth, cost many jobs and leave supply chains less resilient. PFAS chemicals have been used for various products, including firefighting foams, nonstick frying pans and stain-resistant rugs.

Fox News: Judge tosses Chicago's lawsuit against Indiana gun shop
Chicago's lawsuit against Indiana store Westforth Sports, accusing it of selling guns in straw purchases that ended up at crime scenes, has been dismissed by a federal judge. The lawsuit, filed earlier this year, alleged that the store repeatedly violated federal gun laws, and the store owner ignored warnings from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Attorneys for Westforth Sports argued that the allegations concerned transactions between the store and Indiana residents.
After Judge Clare Quish's dismissal, attorneys for Westforth Sports said the lawsuit should not have been filed because of where the transactions took place. Despite the dismissal, the city of Chicago does not intend to give up on its case against the store. A 2017 Chicago police report revealed that from 2013 to 2016, 2.3% of all crime guns recovered in the city originated at Westforth Sports.

Forced pregnancy is included in the list of war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. However, it was only prosecuted by the ICC in 2021 in the case of Dominic Ongwen, a former fighter of the Lord’s Resistance Army in Uganda. During the trial of Ndarumanga, three survivors testified, one of whom was made pregnant twice and forced to give birth to her first child in captivity. This successful conviction may result in more similar cases being brought forward.
