The Epoch Times: House GOP Investigating Bank of America for 'Voluntarily' Giving Jan. 6 Bank Records to FBI
House Republicans are investigating a whistleblower report alleging that Bank of America voluntarily gave information to the FBI about customers who made transactions in the Washington D.C. area on or near Jan. 6, 2021, the day of the U.S. Capitol breach. Customers who had used BOA accounts to purchase a firearm were bumped to the top of that list and the FBI reportedly took no further action with the information. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Subcommittee on the Administrative State, Regulatory Reform, and Antitrust Chairman Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) are demanding answers, setting a June 8 deadline for BOA to comply. The lawmakers expressed concern over privacy violations and the protection of Americans' private information from federal law enforcement agencies without due process.

Washington Free Beacon: Biden Admin Funds Program Linking Republican Party to Neo-Nazis
Biden administration gives over $350,000 to a university program that equates Christian and conservative groups with Nazi organizations under a grant initiative called Targeted Violence & Terrorism Prevention Grant Program. The Department of Homeland Security is directing money to a program at the University of Dayton called PREVENTS-OH. The program categorized groups into a "Pyramid of Far-Right Radicalization," listing mainstream conservative institutions alongside Nazi groups.
The Targeted Violence & Terrorism Prevention Grant Program began under the Trump administration to address all kinds of terrorism but under the Biden administration now focuses on right-wing violence and white supremacy. DHS awarded 80 grants in total through the program. DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas called the program a "high priority." Republicans have investigated Mayorkas extensively for his failure on the border crisis. A House Republican told him last month that he has "brought generational trauma upon our country."
Washington Free Beacon: Kentucky Republicans Who Backed Black Candidate May Have 'Racist Intent,' Liberal Columnist Argues
Republicans who nominated Daniel Cameron, a black man, as their gubernatorial nominee in Kentucky may still have exhibited racism at the ballot box, according to a liberal columnist. Cameron, the state's first black man elected statewide, has been criticised for his conservative views, with some referring to him as "white supremacy in blackface". Louisville Courier Journal writer Joseph Gerth argued that Republicans who voted for Cameron may still hold racist views, despite the nominee's race. Gerth also criticised Cameron for paraphrasing the words of Martin Luther King Jr. during his acceptance speech. Cameron responded by accusing Gerth of having a "far-left world-view".

The Epoch Times: Senate Republicans Press FBI to Investigate Pentagon Official Who Allegedly Leaked Classified Information
Senate Republicans are urging the FBI to investigate whether Pentagon official Colin Kahl violated national security law by disclosing classified information to the media and whether this information was cleared through proper channels. The senators had previously voiced similar concerns in March and April over Kahl's alleged involvement in leaking information about Chinese spy balloons to the public. Meanwhile, a Republican letter in March suggested Kahl's past Twitter posts could have breached national security law. Kahl will step down from his post in mid-July as the Defense Department's number three official.

Forbes: Trump Employees Moved Papers Ahead Of FBI’s Mar-A-Lago Search, Report Says
Boxes of papers were moved from former President Trump’s home by two of his employees the day before FBI agents raided the residence in August 2022 looking for classified documents. The two employees reportedly practiced a “dress rehearsal” for moving sensitive papers before the raid even took place. Prosecutors obtained evidence that suggests Trump stored classified documents in a visible place in his office and occasionally showed them to others. The timing of the dress rehearsal and the moving of boxes suggests possible obstruction. Trump may face indictment in the case, which is under investigation by special counsel Jack Smith.

The Epoch Times: Rest of Australia to Help Pay for Victorian Government's Debt Disaster
Premier Daniel Andrews announced new land and payroll taxes in Victoria, prompting criticism from both citizens and politicians. The new taxes are expected to raise $4.7 billion and $3.9 billion respectively, but federal taxes might suffer a $2.6 billion loss as a result of claiming them. Andrews encouraged taxpayers to claim the new levies as deductions on their federal tax returns, despite the potential loss for federal tax income. Despite the backlash, Andrews defended the new policies and called them the “right thing,” stating that they aim to pay off the COVID debt and would prevent cuts to hospitals and schools.
The federal government might suffer a $2.6 billion loss over four years as a result of claiming Victoria’s new land and payroll tax increases as tax deductions. The loss would affect citizens outside of Victoria, who would aid in paying off the ballooning debt caused by COVID-19. The controversial budget has garnered criticism from both citizens and politicians, with some labeling the state as “broke” and a failed state. Meanwhile, Tasmania’s Premier has taken the opportunity to lure Victorian businesses into his state, offering lower taxes and a state that backs small businesses. Despite the backlash, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has backed up Premier Andrews and the Victorian government, stating that the Victorian economy is bouncing back.

The Epoch Times: Why We Need Local Fiscal News Coverage
City finances can have a significant impact on citizens' budgets and provision of services. With many cities on the brink of bankruptcy, increased taxes or severe budget cuts may be necessary to make it through a recession, or in the case of bankruptcy, reducing or eliminating employee benefit liabilities. The media often ignores the financial well-being of cities, but citizens can access the State Auditor’s Dashboard to see the fiscal status of their respective cities.
Costa Mesa, a progressive-run city, is an example of how poor city metrics have escaped good reporting by major media outlets. Despite dropping 34 places on the State Auditor’s Dashboard, the city’s ranking was not covered by liberal-leaning publications CalMatters and Voice of OC, while The Daily Pilot and Los Angeles Times were silent. The only hard-number data provider was The Epoch Times, revealing Costa Mesa's unrestricted net deficit of $244 million as of June 30, 2021.
The Epoch Times: Cory Morgan: Weakening Canada Day Celebrations Follows the Playbook of Oppressive Regimes
Some Canadian cities are canceling or modifying traditional Canada Day celebrations. Authoritarians embrace the tactic of banning celebrations to keep citizen morale low and subservience to the state high. Cancelling Canada Day celebrations erodes national pride and joy, and may foment revolution in a fragile federation.

Flag And Cross: Chinese Caught Red-Handed Stripping Allied WWII Grave for Scrap
Chinese salvage ship Chuan Hong 68 has been caught illegally scavenging British World War II shipwrecks off the coast of Malaysia. The sites of the wrecks, HMS Prince of Wales and cruiser HMS Repulse, are designated war graves. Their remains are a lucrative source of scrap metal that can be reused. The crew, reportedly consisting of well-paid Chinese, Nepalese, Malaysian and Bangladeshi nationals, is allegedly notorious for its 10-year history of scavenging WW2 shipwrecks. Adm. Lord Alan West, former head of the Royal Navy, called the scavenging operation an “absolute disgrace”; the Chinese crew, meanwhile, seems unfazed by the outrage their actions are causing.
The Epoch Times: Biden Admin Investigating Whether US Equipment Was Used in Rebel Attack Inside Russia
Paramilitary groups from Ukraine, identified as Liberty of Russia Legion and the Russian Volunteer Corps, crossed into Russia's Belgorod region to sow chaos. Unverified videos and photos show the use of Humvees and MaxxPro vehicles, which are manufactured by American companies. The Biden administration and the U.S. Department of Defense are investigating whether U.S. equipment was used during the attack inside Russia, which risks further straining relations between the two countries.
The appearance of U.S. support for an attack inside Russia has led to an investigation by the Biden administration. The Russian Volunteer Corps leader, Denis Nikitin, claimed to possess Humvees and MaxxPros. The U.S. government has not approved any third-party transfers of equipment to paramilitary organizations outside the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Escalation between Russia and the U.S. is expected as Russia alleges that Western involvement in the conflict is growing. Russian officials have characterized the attack as an act of terrorism, with several insisting the attackers are Ukrainian militants.

The Epoch Times: 5,000 Australians Expected in 'Nutbush' World Record Attempt to Honour Tina Turner
Music festival organisers aim to set a new world record for the most people dancing the Nutbush, a line dance to honour American-born singer Tina Turner, who recently passed away. The goal for the Outback Music Festival Group is to have 5,000 dancers on July 6, beating the current Nutbush World Record of 4,084 participants. Originating from Turner’s song ‘Nutbush City Limits’, the Nutbush line dance emerged in the 1970s disco era, became viral in Australia during the 1980s, and has since been a staple in schools and social gatherings. The event will feature an artist lineup including the Australian pop vocal group Human Nature and singer-songwriters from the golden era of Australian music.
All registration fees—$15 per person—go towards the Royal Flying Doctors (RFD), a charity that brings high-quality healthcare to rural and remote communities in the outback. Since 2016, the festival has raised over $500,000 for RFD. The festival-goers danced across the sprawling desert plains behind the historic mining town of Silverton, 26 km north-west of Broken Hill, Australia, to the 1973 Tina Turner soul classic in Aug. 2022. This year's Big Red Bash will take place below Simpson Desert’s Big Red sand dune, the largest of its kind in the world. The participants will rehearse before the main attempt gets underway.

While not family-friendly, Slab City is worth a quick stop for adventurers interested in alternative communities.
RV Lifestyle: How to Keep Mice Out of Camper (5 Best Ways)
To prevent mice from entering your camper or RV, it's essential to block off any potential entry points. Scour the exterior of your rig for any small cracks or openings, and seal them with spray foam, RV sealant, or steel wool. To deter mice, consider using peppermint oil, dryer sheets, mothballs, or Fresh Cab Rodent Repellent. Avoid using Irish Spring soap as it may attract mice instead. Remove any potential bridges, such as tubes hanging down or tires, that can provide easy access for mice to climb up to your RV.
