The ruling may have an impact on other home equity theft cases pending before the Supreme Court and in other courts across the country.

The international community remains on high alert, given Putin's previous threats to use nuclear weapons as an intimidation tactic against the West.

However, there has not been any confirmation of the deployment by the Kremlin so far. In a meeting with Lukashenko, Russia's Defence Minister, Sergei Shoigu, announced on 21 April that he was signing documents detailing the process for storing tactical nuclear weapons in a special facility in Belarus.
