Breitbart: Wilbur Wright College Plan to House 400 Illegals Sparks Outrage in Chicago
Residents of the Northwest Side of Chicago packed a school gym on Tuesday to attend a meeting where officials announced plans to house 400 illegal aliens in the school which has been designated the city's newest official migrant shelter. Despite being forced to show their IDs at the door, hundreds of residents opposed the plan and booed Jesus Del Toro from the City of Chicago Office of New Americans as he argued that the new designation would continue Chicago’s long history of immigration. Alderman Nick Sposato and a speaker from the audience argued that it was a good idea to move the illegals out of the local police station, but many residents were left concerned about the impact that the influx of migrants would have on both public areas and their safety.

Front Page Magazine: Hillary Gives Us Another Hint that Her Pointy Black Hat is in the Ring for 2024
Hillary Clinton hints that she has a backup candidate for the Democrats in 2024, should Joe Biden's incoherence or Kamala Harris' incapacity become too obvious. She praises Joe Biden's supposed accomplishments in jobs, growth, and planning for the future but states that Biden doesn't get enough recognition for it. She notes Biden's age as an issue, and it is not the first time she has raised it. Hillary is standing by, tanned, rested, and ready to replace Old Joe as the Democrats’ nominee if necessary, but she could face competition from Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom, or Michelle Obama.

The Epoch Times: Ombudsman Clears ABC Over Coronation Broadcast
ABC cleared of breaching editorial standards in the coverage of the King's coronation despite sparking 1832 complaints from the public. The ombudsman ruled that the broadcast did not breach the corporation's editorial standards, but found that the footage presented during the discussion did not relate to the critical nature of the panel discussion, which was "jarring and distracting" for some audience members. Journalist Stan Grant stepped away from hosting the Q&A program last week due to the racist attacks and online threats he received following his guest appearance during the coverage. A man has been charged for allegedly making threats online towards Grant.
The Epoch Times: Santa Ana Unified, City Clash Over $7 Million School Crossing Guard Funding
Santa Ana city councilors have voted to delay a decision over a $7m agreement to fund school crossing guards in the Tustin, Santa Ana, and Garden Grove districts, which could threaten the safety of thousands of children. The move came after councilors argued the district, which has more schools in the area than any other, should be responsible for, or at least share, the cost of hiring the guards. Santa Ana Mayor Valerie Amezcua has stated that she has attempted to contact the district and requested cost-sharing but has yet to receive a response. Councilman David Penaloza also called for shared responsibility and criticized the district's spending.
Townhall: Forget ‘Pride,’ How About A ‘Dignity’ Month?
Florida is removing children's books with graphic depictions of sex from public school libraries. It's not a Holocaust, as leftists make it out to be. The LGBTQIA community is not all about sex. Pride Month celebrations are increasingly vulgar. Pride Parades have turned into orgies that try desperately to shock normal people. If your "identity" is based on who you sleep with, you suck at life. Pride participants need dignity. Florida is banning sexually explicit drag shows for children, preventing their Pride Parades. Good riddance.
Townhall: A True Statesman, C. Boyden Gray
Prominent lawyer and adviser C. Boyden Gray passed away, leaving behind a legacy of wisdom, erudition, and guidance. Gray served in the White House for 12 years and was a polymath, always seeking to better the instruction of his father, who served as national security adviser to Eisenhower. Gray assailed the economic albatross created by the administrative state, challenging its constitutionality and paving the way for future victories in the Supreme Court. Despite his many accomplishments, Gray will always be remembered for his heartfelt decency and concern for others.
Breitbart: Poll: Majority Say Homelessness Is a Problem, Has Gotten Worse
Homelessness is a serious issue in America and is getting worse, says a Rasmussen Reports poll. Of those surveyed, 86 percent think the issue is a serious problem in the US, while only 10 percent disagree. The poll also found that Republicans and Democrats agree on the issue, with 58 percent of Republicans polled, 56 percent of Democrats and 52 percent of unaffiliated respondents describing it as a very serious problem. Just 12 percent of respondents believe the issue has improved, while 59 percent think it has worsened over the last two years. Thirty-two percent think homelessness should be addressed federally, while 39 percent believe it should be left to individual states.

Townhall: Even After Ukraine Wins, Russian Landmines Will Kill Civilians Worldwide
Russian forces have deployed landmines in Ukraine and Azerbaijan, leading to casualties and hindering cleanup efforts. These mines are designed to maim civilians and create terror, and have been used as a war crime. Both Ukraine and Azerbaijan are seeking assistance to combat this threat, with Azerbaijan proposing the creation of an international group of mine-affected countries. The US has allocated funds to aid in demining efforts in the South Caucasus, and an international movement against landmines may emerge in response to Russia's actions.

The Epoch Times: IN-DEPTH: User Data Collected by Overseas Chinese Companies, Such as TikTok, Enables CCP to Influence US Politics
TikTok's parent company, ByteDance, is being sued by a former executive who claims that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has unrestricted access to all data held by the company, including data on millions of Americans. This data can be used as a weapon to shape American elections and politics. Despite TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew's assurance that the CCP does not have access to TikTok's data, the lawsuit suggests otherwise. The CCP's ambition to use the app to influence the political landscape in the United States is evident through features such as "Election Center." Concerns have been raised about the company's potential to capture data about Americans' political leanings.
The Epoch Times: China-Backed Hackers Targeting Critical US Infrastructure, Microsoft and Five Eyes Warn
Microsoft and Five Eyes alliance report a Chinese state-sponsored hacking group called Volt Typhoon is targeting multiple U.S. critical infrastructure sectors across networks, including Guam where the United States has a major military presence. The group is suspected of compromising networks to gain information while maintaining undetected access capabilities, even during future crises in the Asia-Pacific region. China's incumbent communist party is believed to be after the vulnerability of Guam's submarine cables, which link Asia and Australia to the United States. Various intelligence agencies also warned that the activity could target other critical infrastructure outside the United States and use tactics such as "living off the land" to evade detection or trigger security alerts.

Fox News: ‘Will definitely replace me’: Americans fear artificial intelligence will steal their jobs
Advances in AI could negatively impact the job market, with up to 300 million jobs at risk of being lost or replaced, according to a report by Goldman Sachs. Americans in Texas have expressed concerns about job displacement, with some believing that their jobs may be taken over by AI in the near future. However, it's unclear which job markets will be most affected, with some believing that medical professions will remain relatively safe for the time being.
A recent UC San Diego study showed that ChatGPT may provide better medical advice than humans in some cases, and received favourable responses for nearly 80% of its medical answers. However, some interviewees believe that higher-level, strategic work, like software engineering, will remain AI-proof for the next few decades. While many industries face the possibility of AI displacement, it remains to be seen which sectors will be most impacted in the future.
The Epoch Times: Rep. McClain Rips Financial Regulators for SVB Collapse
Silicon Valley Bank's collapse due to poor management and lack of oversight was discussed during a congressional hearing. Chairwoman Lisa McClain blamed policies enacted by Trump and Biden and the Federal Reserve for exposure to risk in the SVB balance sheet. Economist Peter Schiff argues that the government's role in determining private sector interest rates causes distortion to the free market.
Breitbart: Foreigners Taking U.S. Jobs Hits Highest Level, American Employment Declines
Foreign-born workers hold over 18% of jobs in the US, a record high since 1996, while native-born employment declines. Unemployment was also lower for foreign-born workers than native-born Americans last year according to research by the Center for Immigration Studies. The Biden administration's policy of expanding immigration into the country primarily for the benefit of corporate interests has pushed up foreign-born workers by 5% in four years.

Fox News: I coach volleyball and see how Biden's Title IX changes are brutally unfair to women athletes
The Biden administration has made Title IX rules requiring schools to let biological males who identify as female compete on women's sports teams, denying women the opportunity to advance to the highest levels of their sport and putting them at risk of physical injury. Women's volleyball players are especially at risk of injury because of the intense physical nature of the sport, and men have physical advantages like greater lung capacity, higher bone density, and greater muscle mass. High school girls who are forced to compete against men will also be unfairly denied an equal opportunity to achieve college volleyball scholarships, and women are likely to face personal privacy violations.

Fox News: AI could grow so powerful it replaces experienced professionals within 10 years, Sam Altman warns
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman warns that within the next decade, artificial intelligence could replace professional experts "in most domains," and become more powerful than any other technology humanity has had to contend with in the past. Altman likens the development of AI to the proliferation of nuclear energy and synthetic biology, advising that regulations must be put in place in order to mitigate the risks associated with the technology. The CEO called for the creation of an International Atomic Energy Agency-style body to oversee the development and deployment of AI technology.
Fox News: Justine Bateman rips AI use in Hollywood, says technology is 'getting away from being human'
Former "Family Ties" actress and director Justine Bateman opposes the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in Hollywood and believes the use of AI in the creative industry is hurting human nature. During the Hollywood writers' strike, Bateman asserted that using AI to replace human expression is "the saddest thing to me" and that AI is negatively impacting the entertainment industry and humanity as a whole. Bateman also suggested that AI could pose a monetary concern rooted in greed and could result in profits made off the work of directors, actors, and writers without giving them their due.
Fox News: What are some controversies surrounding natural language processing?
The use of natural language processing in AI raises concerns about implicit biases and political bias within the datasets used for training. Data sets with gender or racial stereotypes can result in algorithms perpetuating these biases. Political biases can also arise if the programmer or dataset used to train the AI is biased. Additionally, the environmental impact of natural language processing, which requires data mining that creates large amounts of carbon dioxide, is a significant concern. However, AI technology does not have the ability to think or feel and is not sentient.
Fox News: Will AI impact your job? Some industries the technology is likely to have major impacts on
Artificial intelligence (AI) will have a significant impact on many industries, with 80% of workers expected to have at least 10% of their work tasks affected. AI is particularly well-suited to jobs that involve numbers, content writing, research and data analysis. Industries that are predicted to be heavily impacted by AI include legal, finance, healthcare, tech, graphic design and media/film. In legal jobs, AI can assist with research, evidence gathering and document writing. In finance, AI can input and analyze data and make financial recommendations. In healthcare, it can make predictions and diagnoses and improve patient communication. In tech, AI software can create, design and develop programs. In graphic design, AI-generated artwork can be produced quickly. And in media/film, AI can help with script writing, special effects and predicting the success of movies.
Fox News: Rick Scott leads push to help parents keep kids safe from unrestricted AI
Sen. Rick Scott introduced the Artificial Intelligence Shield for Kids (ASK) Act, which aims to provide parents with more control over their children's access to AI chatbots. Scott has gained the support of Senate colleagues and American parents worried about their children's access to social media sites and AI technology without parental consent. The popular app Snapchat recently introduced a chatbot feature called "My AI," powered by OpenAI’s technology, raising concerns among parents about their children's social development and the kind of exchanges they could have. The ASK Act would require parental consent for children to interact with AI technology and ensure they are not subjected to any harm.

Fox News: Latest version of ChatGPT passes radiology board-style exam, highlights AI's ‘growing potential,' study finds
OpenAI's ChatGPT, a language-based artificial intelligence system, has impressed researchers at the University of Toronto by demonstrating sufficient intelligence to pass a radiology board-style exam, with GPT-4 answering 81% of the multiple-choice questions correctly. Despite this impressive result, concerns were raised during the study over the accuracy of some responses and the propensity of LLMs like ChatGPT to "hallucinate" by occasionally creating data out of thin air which cannot be relied upon in clinical settings. Despite these challenges, many experts believe this trend towards LLMs will transform the way people interact with technology, with ChatGPT potentially used in the future to augment the ability of radiologists and more efficiently treat patients.
