Daily Wire: Social Media Platform Locks Account Of Republican Presidential Candidate Vivek Ramaswamy
Social Media Platform Locks Account Of Republican Presidential Candidate Vivek Ramaswamy
Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy was locked out of his LinkedIn account over opinions he expressed about climate activism and the Biden administration's policies towards China. Ramaswamy released screenshots of an email from LinkedIn accusing him of “misinformation, hate speech, violence,” and other platform agreement breaches. Ramaswamy stated these actions of private companies are really the work of the government, silencing speech they wouldn't dare to censor. Ramaswamy's situation highlights the growing concern that social media is trying to control the narrative for the upcoming election cycle.

LinkedIn owned by Microsoft emailed presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and locked him out of his LinkedIn account over the opinions he expressed concerning climate activism and the Biden administration's policies towards China. The email added that Ramaswamy's posts are considered misleading, and one suggested the Chinese Communist Party is "playing the Biden administration like a Chinese mandolin." Ramaswamy believes that this move by LinkedIn is more dangerous than direct government censorship. Technology companies and social media platforms are facing criticism for censorship initiatives when it comes to content interpreted by executives to be hateful or violent in nature.

Fox News: Democrats demanding President Biden be more aggressive in debt limit talks: Voters 'pulling their hair out'
Democrats demanding President Biden be more aggressive in debt limit talks: Voters 'pulling their hair out'
Democrats are frustrated with President Biden's approach to debt limit negotiations, as some encourage House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries to ask for a more forceful approach. Some Democrats also criticize House Speaker Kevin McCarthy's tactics, calling it unproductive. Swing-state Democrats feel that their party is missing an opportunity to frame themselves as the party of fiscal responsibility.

Republicans and Democrats trade barbs over who should be blamed for debt crisis. Democrats seethed in private over what they view as the White House's approach to negotiations, while some argued that Republicans are holding the U.S. hostage through debt limit negotiations. McCarthy says there is progress but no deal yet.

Whoopi Goldberg shuts down 'View' audience for jeering Republican guest: 'No booing'
Whoopi Goldberg scolded "The View" audience after they booed Republican New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu over his stance on guns and mental health care. Sununu argued that banning guns wouldn't work and that access to mental health care was key. Goldberg urged the audience to listen without booing and thank Sununu for coming on the show. Sununu is considering a run for president in 2024 and is advocating for the Republican Party to distance itself from former President Donald Trump.

The Blaze: Horowitz: Both parties must stop lying about debt default. There is no default cliff.
Horowitz: Both parties must stop lying about debt default. There is no default cliff.
Both parties are operating under a false assumption that there is a June 1 debt default cliff that will destroy the US immediately and immutably, but this messaging is distorting the debate; Speaker McCarthy needs to set the record straight immediately. Default on debt is not the same as a shutdown, slowdown, or rolling blackout of certain government agencies, functions, and programs, and enough money is available to pay for the most critical functions for a while longer, including interest on the Treasuries, so there is no threat of default.

There is easily enough money to pay the interest on the treasuries, but unless lawmakers balance the budget now, they will eventually not be able to pay the interest. Republicans are echoing the false sentiment that there is a default cliff on June 1, when in reality, this is more of a rolling hill that will squeeze critical functions of government over time and force prioritization, similar to what families go through when they blow through their credit. Republicans should demand a return to pre-COVID spending levels, which were quite high, and if they want a government shutdown, then that is on them.

Fox News: Bipartisan Alabama measure cutting half of state’s 4% sale tax on food advances in state Legislature
Bipartisan Alabama measure cutting half of state’s 4% sale tax on food advances in state Legislature
Alabama lawmakers are pushing to remove half of the state's 4% sales tax on food, which would make Alabama one of only two states to not tax groceries at all. The bill passed committee with a favourable vote and now heads to the full House of Representatives for approval. However, some are concerned that it would lead to a loss of revenue for the state education budget.

The proposed legislation, that would remove half of the state's 4% sales tax on food, has received widespread bipartisan support in Alabama. It is hoped that this will help everyday working-class people who spend a disproportionate amount of their income on sales taxes like groceries. However, some organizations have expressed concern about a loss of revenue for the state education budget that the 4% tax currently provides.

DeSantis argues attacks by Trump show 'he understands I'm the candidate who can beat him'
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis formally announced his candidacy for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. Although he has been receiving criticism from ex-president Donald Trump and his allies for the past six months, DeSantis hits back by stating he believes the criticism shows that they acknowledge he is a contender, offering "folks a record of achievement that's second to none." Despite the initial rocky release of his campaign, the DeSantis camp declared their fruitful night, hauling $1 million in online fundraising in the first hour alone. The launch was met with disappointment by Trump and his supporters, with some asserting the Governor is not ready for the moment. DeSantis will hold campaign "kick-off" events next week in the three states leading the GOP presidential nominating calendar.

Riots, Tent Cities, Plunder, and Wokeness — Is it Any Wonder Why People Are Fleeing Portland?
Portland, Oregon has lost a significant number of people, with a population loss of 8,308 people from July 1, 2021 to July 1, 2022, making it the sixth worst in the country. This is due to the Democrat machine churning out candidates and ideas that have moved the city far to the Left resulting in less enforcement of the law, fewer cops and rampant anarchy. The result is a stagnant and underproductive economic future for the region.

The Epoch Times: Net Migration Hits New Record of 606,000
Net Migration Hits New Record of 606,000
Net migration to the UK reached a new high of 606,000 in 2022, largely due to non-EU nationals arriving for work, study, and humanitarian purposes. The figures, released by the UK's Office of National Statistics (ONS), showed that 925,000 non-EU nationals migrated to the UK last year, while 263,000 left the country. Those arriving in the UK to study accounted for the largest proportion of non-EU immigration in 2022, followed by those arriving on work-related visas and humanitarian routes. The prime minister acknowledged that net migration was "too high," but denied that it was out of control.

New DeSantis Ad Superimposes Fighter Jets In AI-Altered Video Of Speech
Never Back Down, a super-PAC supporting Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.), released a campaign ad using altered footage of a past DeSantis event, showing fighter jets appearing to fly overhead as DeSantis speaks, though the original video shows there were no jets present. DeSantis announced his 2024 presidential campaign via Twitter, facing technical glitches during the announcement. The use of AI in political advertisements could become normalized, as it has been with a previous ad from the Republican National Committee. The introduction of legislation requiring mandatory disclosure of AI-generated content in political ads is in process.

Documents reveal DHS ‘dirty tricks’ operation attacked Christians, conservatives and tied them to Nazis
The Biden administration is using federal funds to wage a covert war of political dirty tricks, through a program designed to delegitimize political dissent beyond the president’s own party. Targeted Violence & Terrorism Prevention Grant Program (TVTP) has been hijacked by the Department of Homeland Security and subsumed within the DHS Center for Prevention, Programs and Partnerships (CP3), using a guise of "high priority" with $40 million of taxpayer funds funneled into the weaponized operation. Organizations that are targeted in the program include highly respected conservative public policy groups, a prominent cable news network, the Republican National Committee, and even prominent Christian organizations, with aims to stifle viewpoints referred to as terrorist-level threats – namely, those of political opponents.

Senator Oprah Winfrey? Talk Show Mogul Could Become Lawmaker Without Being Elected
California Governor Gavin Newsom may be considering making Oprah Winfrey a senator to replace Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein if she retires. Newsom promised to appoint a black woman to the position if Feinstein were to retire, but if he picks from the pool of Democratic representatives running in 2024, he could accidentally harm his political relationships. Many black women in California politics might not bow out once installed in the Senate, according to the California Globe. Election adviser Stan Taney suggested many black women were qualified to hold the position in California, but Newsom had promised a female black Senator and is facing a delicate political balancing act.

Red State: An Important Reminder as 2024 GOP Presidential Primary Season Kicks Into High Gear
An Important Reminder as 2024 GOP Presidential Primary Season Kicks Into High Gear
Republican presidential candidates are vying for position in the primaries, with the media hyping up opposition to create a sense of inevitability that does not match reality. Past examples include their coverage of Donald Trump's alleged collusion with Russia, which never came to pass, and their recent coverage of Ron DeSantis' presidential campaign launch, declaring it a failure over it's tech issues. Ultimately, voters should research and make judgments about all candidates in the primaries without heeding the media's attempts to manipulate them.

The American Spectator: Can We Ditch the Detached DeSantis Narrative?
Can We Ditch the Detached DeSantis Narrative?
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is reportedly planning a presidential run, which has led to negative attacks from both former President Donald Trump and the media. Attacks on DeSantis' character and ability to connect with people are irrelevant given his policy achievements in the state, such as leading the country in economic freedom and new business formations. DeSantis' fight for freedom included opposing crony capitalism and exposing corruption in the Deep State during his time in Congress, and media critiques fall apart when the real facts come out.

The Left Has Pushed the Envelope
Leftists are leading a cultural revolution against traditional America, resulting in absurd and terrifying outcomes. Reports confirm FBI, CIA, and DOJ wrongdoing, interference in Presidential campaigns, and deception of federal judges and Congress. The IRS has fired its multi-year audit team investigating Hunter Biden's tax irregularities under the orders of Biden's appointee, Merrick Garland. California is facing a $32 billion-dollar deficit, yet it is considering an $800 billion-dollar payout for reparations to black residents. Black Lives Matter has lost millions of dollars in investments while corporate America is joining the cultural revolution hysteria causing devastating losses in stock, subscribers, and viewership.

The media complex is hypocritical in accusing Fox News of spreading lies, when they push false narratives collectively. The "Lie Of The Year" is the "Florida’s book bans" that claims books were banned from Florida schools. The truth is that specific books were deemed more appropriate for middle school students and moved to the middle school section of the library/media center. The media failed to fact-check, and instead pushed a false storyline.

F-16 Fighters for Ukraine Unlikely to Turn Tide of Battle, Say Experts
The West, led by the United States, has provided increasingly sophisticated but costly weaponry to Ukraine in their fight against Russia's invasion. Recently, the US greenlit plans to train Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16 fighter jets, but many officials are skeptical that this will make a significant difference. NATO and other allies have also offered to help train pilots, and there are hopes to establish an international coalition to provide F-16s to Ukraine. However, Russian officials and U.S. military officials both assert that the delivery of F-16s will not fundamentally alter the course of the war.

China's special representative for Eurasian affairs, Li Hui, is traveling to Moscow to meet with Kremlin officials to discuss ending the war in Ukraine. However, Western officials remain skeptical of China's impartiality on the matter due to their reluctance to condemn Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine. Ukraine has rejected any deals with Russia that involves conceding any territory, including Crimea. Meanwhile, China's focus is on improving their international reputation by brokering peace deals, but experts believe they won't find success in ending the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

Taiwan Shunned From World Health Assembly Amid China's 'Political Pressure'
The World Health Assembly has rejected Taiwan’s bid to participate in its annual meeting as an observer due to political pressure from China. Taiwan warns that this could pose a serious threat to global health. China and Pakistan urged members to reject Taiwan’s inclusion, while Eswatini, the Marshall Islands, Belize, and Nauru spoke in Taiwan’s favor. Taiwan’s inclusion in the meeting was a matter of global health, which should not be subject to political interference from any single country, Taiwan’s foreign ministry said in a statement. China’s heavy-handed obstruction of Taiwan’s participation and contributions runs counter to the estimable goal of “Health for All” enshrined in the WHO Constitution, the Taiwan ministry added.

Byrnes believes that the VA must take responsibility for improving the outcomes for veterans. Byrnes also points out that Memorial Day isn’t just for those who died in battle, but veterans who "perished from the conflict later" should also be remembered. The high rate of suicide within the military community can be linked to veterans' reintroduction to civilian life.

The Epoch Times: Memorial Day in Contemporary America
Memorial Day in Contemporary America
Memorial Day commemorates the deadliest war in American history: the Civil War, which claimed more lives than any other conflict in American history. The war also brought about physical, economic, and social destruction. The social-political consequences of the war lingered long after it ended, with the desegregation movement of the 1950s and 1960s being the last battle. Today, the new civil war is a political war that undermines social cohesion and military discipline. Military sacrifice is the highest duty in a democracy, protecting the real rights to life and liberty.

Elon Musk appointed Linda Yaccarino, former chairman of global advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal, as the new CEO of Twitter after an advertiser exodus caused a plummet in ad revenue due to concerns over content moderation and Musk's free speech advocacy. The appointment was met with backlash from Twitter users who claimed Yaccarino was affiliated with the World Economic Forum, which advocates for social media censorship and promotes stakeholder capitalism. Yaccarino's affiliation with the WEF and her past involvement with the Ad Council, which promoted masking, social distancing, and vaccinations during the COVID crisis, has led some to declare her as a promoter of censorship and a vaccine pusher.
