The Epoch Times: Five Takeaways From the DeSantis 2024 Campaign Launch Night
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis faced technical difficulties during the opening night of his campaign, launching it on Twitter and causing the social media site to crash. However, once the issues were resolved, DeSantis discussed both foreign and domestic policy with Elon Musk and David Sacks on Twitter Spaces before conducting additional interviews in the media. During these interviews, DeSantis talked about his approach to China, how he would handle the FBI, and addressed a broad range of issues. In addition, DeSantis expressed a willingness to settle the Russia-Ukraine War and outlined his plan to regard China as the “foremost geopolitical threat”.
DeSantis reiterated his stance on the FBI and stated that he would remove current FBI Director Christopher Wray on his first day if he were elected president. The governor has criticized the politicization of law enforcement agencies and calls for increased accountability to the public. He also emphasized the importance of recognizing China’s increasing presence in the Western Hemisphere and called for a 21st-century version of the Monroe Doctrine, ensuring that America's backyard remains a freedom zone. DeSantis also discussed how he plans to appeal to independent voters and defeat Trump in the primary and Biden in the general election.
Breitbart: AOC Trolls DeSantis for Low Turnout for Announcement on Twitter Spaces
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claimed to have more viewers on a video game stream than Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis did for his presidential campaign launch on Tuesday. DeSantis's Twitter Spaces campaign launch had technical difficulties that caused a late start and poor audio quality, among other issues. Ocasio-Cortez noted that more people watched her play video games on Twitch than watched DeSantis' campaign launch.
Breitbart: Ron DeSantis Mocked After Disastrous Twitter Spaces Campaign Launch
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis's presidential campaign launch on Twitter Spaces was plagued with technical difficulties, with the audio cutting out several times. Twitter users criticized the "disastrous" campaign launch event, with President Joe Biden and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez taking to Twitter to poke fun at DeSantis. The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin noted that the event made DeSantis "appear like a talk radio host rather than the future leader of the free world." Other comments included "most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to a presidential candidate" and "DeSantis is making Jeb Bush look high energy right now."
Breitbart: Trump Campaign Accuses DeSantis of Plagiarizing 'Great American Comeback'
Ron DeSantis, the Governor of Florida, has been accused by Donald Trump’s campaign of plagiarizing the phrase “Great American Comeback” from the former president. DeSantis used the phrase during the announcement of his candidacy for President of the United States on Twitter. Trump’s campaign claimed that DeSantis stole the phrase from the former president’s third State of the Union address. This comes after technical issues during DeSantis’s Twitter announcement, and criticism from Nikki Haley over his alleged copying of Trump’s policies and mannerisms.
Townhall: Reject The Race Hustlers
The Democrats are propagating racial hatred for their own benefit, resulting in increased interracial strife, segregation and cultural forces joining in a chorus of hatred for people of pallor. However, Americans need to put a stop to this and refuse to participate in their racial psychodramas. The conservative position must be to hold everyone to the same standards and not accept racial spoils, ending actual racism instead of trying to increase or explain it.

Townhall: How Can We Stop the Killing?
The US has moved from being puritanical to being obsessed with sex and violence. Newton N. Minow, a reformer and former Chairman of the FCC, wanted to take the country in the opposite direction towards sophistication, moderation, and restraint. However, his reforms failed, and television has only accelerated the decay in our culture, which is now filled with indelicacies. The decline of our culture is the largest problem facing America today, and there is no easy solution.
Minow said that if the broadcast executives would stay glued to their television sets for a day, they would see a vast wasteland filled with game shows, violence, formula comedies, blood and thunder, mayhem, violence, sadism, murder, Western bad men, Western good men, private eyes, gangsters, and more violence. Today, our culture is filled with everything that Minow spoke out against, and there is no sign that the American audience is going to rebel against it. The cavalier treatment of taking another's life and the decline of cherishing life is the largest problem facing America today, and there is no easy solution.
Newsbusters: NBC Bemoans Target Removing Transgender, Pro-Satan Clothing
Target is removing clothing products that celebrate pride month due to confrontational behavior and employee threats. Products from LGBTQ brand Abprallen with satanic themes are also being removed, while tuck-friendly swimsuits are under review. The controversy has led to accusations of misinformation and violence, with some calling for boycotts of corporations supporting the LGBTQ community.

The Epoch Times: Australia Border Enforcement Stops Using Chinese-made Drones
Australian Border Enforcement will stop using Chinese-made drones as a safety measure following the Australian Department of Defence's decision to suspend the use of DJI made drones. Although the Defence has suspended all usage for six months until a security audit is conducted, the border agency continued to conduct trials, using the drones for non-critical areas such as tobacco crops. Senator James Paterson has previously indicated that the US’s blacklisting of DJI was due to its ties with the People’s Liberation Army and the Chinese Communist Party’s repression of the Uyghur ethnic group.

Breitbart: RFK Jr. Champions Economic Populism: Protect American Workers with Tariffs
In a series of tweets, Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. pledged to protect American labor and industry, proposing tariffs on foreign imports to counteract job-killing free trade policies. Kennedy argued that capitalism functions equitably only if workers have the collective bargaining power of unions so they can claim a fair share of the economic pie. He suggested accessing tariffs on imports from countries that allow the exploitation of workers and force American industries offshore to low-wage areas. According to a recent study, tariffs on nearly all foreign imports would create about ten million American jobs while boosting domestic output. The middle class has seen its share of national wealth plummet, while the top one percent's share of wealth has outpaced the middle class's share of wealth for the first time in U.S. history.
The American Spectator: Surprise: Debt Conversation Brings More Pointless ‘Tax-the-Rich’ Talk
Democrats believe that increasing taxes on the wealthy is the solution to America's debt problem, but this is unlikely to make a meaningful impact on debt levels and would slow the economy. In reality, America's debt problem is caused by excessive spending, and reducing the deficit requires curtailing spending rather than increasing tax revenue. Raising taxes on the wealthy is also unfair and ineffective, as it overlooks the actual spending behavior of politicians and fails to address the root cause of the problem.

Fox News: Biden to nominate Air Force Gen. CQ Brown Jr as Joint Chiefs of Staff chair to replace Army Gen. Mark Milley
President Biden will nominate Air Force Gen. CQ Brown Jr. to replace Army Gen. Mark Milley as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Brown, a fighter pilot and former commander of the Pacific Air Forces, is seen as the right candidate to modernize the US airpower for 21st-century fights. He has broken several barriers throughout his career and would be the first African American to lead any of the military branches if confirmed by the Senate.
Townhall: Memorial Day In Contemporary America
Memorial Day emerged from the deadliest war in US history, the Civil War. The war's effects were devastating, and it took the Deep South 90 years to overcome its economic backwardness in comparison to the North. While the social-political aspects of the Civil War lingered, the desegregation movement of the 1950s and 60s marked the last battle. Unfortunately, there are those who profit from hating America and its values. The Neo-Civil War is a political war that challenges social cohesion, with highly neurotic and narcissistic individual demands for "rights" that undermine trust and discipline in the military. Memorial Day is a national day of remembrance to thank and respect the sacrifices made by those who did their duty. Military sacrifice protects the real rights to life and liberty.

The American Spectator: My Religion Is Not Your Costume
The Los Angeles Dodgers have been criticized for flipping back and forth on their decision to honor a group of anti-Catholic drag queens at their annual Pride Night. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence mock Christianity and nuns in their performances, and some commentators have lamented the politicization of baseball. Despite criticizing the Dodgers, they ultimately reinstated the controversial performance, sparking claims that gender ideology has become an all-encompassing religion. Christians and conservatives have condemned the decision as anti-Christian bigotry, while the Left insists that cultural politics are inseparable from wider society.

The Epoch Times: Arkansas Man Who Put Feet on Desk in House Speaker Pelosi's Office Gets 4.5 Years in Prison
Richard "Bigo" Barnett, who famously posed with his feet on a desk in Speaker Pelosi's office during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, has been sentenced to 54 months in prison, 36 months of supervised release, and fined $2,000 for four felony and four misdemeanor charges.
Barnett had entered the Capitol as crowds surged through the doors on Jan. 6 and was convicted of charges that included obstruction of an official proceeding, entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, and theft of government property. Barnett had carried a walking stick that doubles as a flashlight and stun device, which led to the "dangerous weapon" charge. His defense argued that he merely had a "temper tantrum" and never had any intention of engaging in violent behavior.
