Fox News: LAURA INGRAHAM: We need to focus on issues that are important to the public
Ingraham urges voters to focus on GOP wins, not Trump-DeSantis fight. Left shocked by Americans standing up for traditionalism; Muslim-Americans oppose sexualized curricula. Bud Light backfired big and stores selling it for free. Left offers racial divisiveness and declining living standards. Republican primary tough, must focus on immigration and economy, and areas of agreement among candidates. Winning and just getting started.
The Federalist Papers: Disney Shredding Through Remaining Workforce as Layoffs Go Global: Report
Disney's internal struggles, which caused the company to ax thousands of jobs in the US, have now spread to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Deadline reported that Disney employees worldwide have been told their jobs are at risk, with the marketing and press departments being the most vulnerable. Despite ongoing struggles of Disney+, employees of the streaming service have been described as "safe from the cuts for the time being." The company started cutting 7,000 jobs in March, most of which were in the US, and the international cuts will be proportional to the American cuts.
Disney's recent financial woes have been blamed on the poor state of the economy and the company's feud with Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, which began after Disney opposed a push by DeSantis and Republicans in the state Legislature to keep sexually explicit material away from schoolchildren. Since then, the governor and Disney have been hitting each other in court and public opinion. However, DeSantis is readying himself for a showdown with GOP primary favorite Donald Trump, while Disney is grappling with its own workforce.
Newsbusters: Dishonest Joy Reid Deceptively Edits RNC Chair's Comments on Debt Limit Crisis
MSNBC's Joy Reid lied about conservatives and Republicans wanting to drive the US into default on its debt to hurt President Biden's reelection chances. She edited RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel's comments on Fox News to deceive viewers. McDaniel was actually talking about Biden's failure on the border, crime, and other issues, and mentioned the debt ceiling crisis as another example of his poor leadership. Reid is proven to be a dishonest liar who can't be trusted.
The American Spectator: Trump Takes on DeSantis
Former President Trump launches attacks on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who recently declared candidacy for presidency. Presidential primaries are well-known for being brutal, and attacks have never been limited to one party. Trump's attacks on DeSantis are not new - Trump had even targeted DeSantis before the midterms. Trump's Truth Social site published three attacks on DeSantis, poking at the governor's past and his poll numbers. This is how primaries work - if an opponent is making progress, they will be attacked. Winners must be seen as capable of handling America's enemies in order to maintain their position.
The Federalist Papers: Trump Gets Great News from Early GOP Primary State Day After DeSantis Jumps in Race
Former President Donald Trump leads Republican competitors in a poll of likely caucus-goers in Iowa with 62% of support, while Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis trails with only 20%. The poll was conducted before DeSantis' announcement of his presidential campaign, suggesting he has a long way to go in making the primary a more competitive race. Trump also leads President Joe Biden in a tentative general election match-up in Iowa, taking 49% of support compared to Biden's 38%.

The Federalist Papers: Whoopi Goldberg Blasts Her Own Network's Show: It Started the 'Downfall of Society'
Whoopi Goldberg criticized "American Idol" on her show "The View," blaming the singing competition show for the "downfall of society." She argued that modern reality TV shows have made people more judgmental than they used to be, citing shows like "Basketball Wives" and the "Real Housewives" as examples. Despite the fact that "American Idol" now airs on Disney-owned ABC, which employs Goldberg, she doubled down on her criticism and claimed that giving people the ability to judge others has caused society to "run amok with it."

Flag And Cross: A Group Of Zookeepers And Vets Open Up A Rhino's Jaw For Dental Work
A team of zookeepers and vets gave a dental check-up to Mikumi, a two-ton southern white rhino at Whipsnade Zoo in the UK. It took more than two dozen people to safely place Mikumi on a bed of straw while she was anesthetized for the three-hour dental check-up. Mikumi's teeth were found to generally be in "excellent condition," although a small fracture in one molar needed repairing. Dr. Taina Strike praised Whipsnade's "amazing zookeepers and the veterinary team looking after Mikumi's health — alongside our nutritionists, who have created a well-balanced and nutritious diet for all our white rhinos."

The American Spectator: Supreme Court Upholds Online Platforms’ Immunities, Protects Free Speech
The Supreme Court unanimously ruled in Twitter v. Taamneh and Gonzalez v. Google, preserving the immunity to civil liability for providers and users of interactive computer services provided by 47 U.S. Code § 230, also known as Section 230. To impose liability on online platforms even if they had inadvertently hosted terrorist content would have created an unfair precedent. The court’s opinion highlighted the importance of Section 230 in avoiding “applying secondary liability to third parties who aren’t actively engaged in knowingly trying to help someone violate the law.”
