Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre is refusing to meet with David Johnston, a special rapporteur investigating foreign interference in Canadian federal elections, due to his perceived lack of impartiality. Johnston was appointed by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to investigate accusations of interference by the Chinese regime in the 2019 and 2021 campaigns. Poilievre cited Johnston’s previous position in the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation and close relationship with the Trudeau family as reasons for his refusal to meet. Johnston’s first report was released on May 23, prompting calls for a public inquiry on foreign interference to be held.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis experienced a Twitter Spaces glitch-ridden announcement on May 24, breaking the Internet and leading to several stoppages and a delay. His campaign, however, remained positive, selling T-shirts that read "Our Campaign Launch Broke The Internet!" The campaign said that in 15 hours, his videos received 30 million views, and the campaign raised $8.2 million within 24 hours. The National Review viewed the breakdown with a cooler eye and said the moment may not prove a defining one; other conservative media analysts saw it as a blow to Fox News and a signal that DeSantis bypassed the network to send a message to conservatives.

Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire has decried the plan, stating that it is "unreasonable" and France already has one of the highest tax burdens of all developed countries. Government spokesman Olivier Véran also commented that it was not necessary.

Elon Musk's private jet can still be tracked due to an oversight in the implementation of privacy protection offered by an FAA program. The error was discovered by Vice's Motherboard through Freedom of Information Act documents. Musk previously banned a teenager's Twitter account that tracked his private jet's flight activity and has now also banned several journalists and the @ElonJet Twitter account. Although enrolled in the FAA's Privacy ICAO Aircraft Address program, Musk's jet could still be tracked due to an incorrect temporary tail number assignment. The FAA and SpaceX have not released official statements.
