Liberty Nation: Most Voters Concerned About Biden Family Financial Scandal
A majority of US voters believe the allegations against the Bidens, involving financial payments from foreign businesses, amount to a serious scandal. A national survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports revealed that 69% of likely voters thought the charges against the Bidens were serious. Of the 982 Likely Voters who took the poll, 66% agreed that “The Hunter Biden scandal ‘is not just about the president’s son. This is about the entire Biden family, including the president of the United States’.” Most participants identified as Republican or unaffiliated, although 43% of Democrats agreed. The survey also found that 63% of respondents thought it was likely Joe Biden personally profited from a "pay-for-play" scheme, according to congressional investigators. The scandal has been viewed as the biggest in US history.
Fox News: Democrats, GOP trade barbs over who Americans should blame for a debt crisis: 'It's pretty obvious'
Democrats and Republicans are at odds over raising the debt limit with both sides blaming the other for any potential negative economic fallout. Republicans claim that passing the Limit, Save, Grow Act demonstrates their efforts to avoid a debt crisis, but Democrats argue that Congress has a constitutional obligation to act on the issue. GOP lawmakers suggest that any hit to the economy would be the fault of President Joe Biden and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, while Democrats accuse House Speaker Kevin McCarthy of holding the debt limit "hostage."
The Federalist: AG Ken Paxton Calls On Texas House Speaker To Resign
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton calls on state House Speaker Dade Phelan to resign over appearing to be drunk while presiding over a floor session. Paxton also referred Phelan's actions to the House General Investigating and Ethics Committee for investigation. Paxton criticized Phelan for failing to advance "critical conservative priorities" and for preventing Texas from banning unsecured election practices such as ranked-choice voting. The bill banning RCV has been stalled in the House Committee on Elections, and if it does not pass, legislative efforts to ban RCV in Texas elections will be stymied.
The Epoch Times: South Carolina Approves 6 Week Abortion Ban
South Carolina has passed a bill banning abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected at six weeks. The bill reduces the current 22-week abortion ban and awaits the signature of the Republican Governor. Critics argue most women are unaware of pregnancy at six weeks, however lawmakers believe the bill will withstand legal challenges. Once signed, the law is expected to be challenged in the state Supreme Court, which invalidated a similar ban earlier this year. The bill includes exceptions for fatal fetal anomalies, the life and health of the mother, and cases of rape or incest up to 12 weeks. Doctors violating the law could face felony charges, and the biological father will have to provide child support from the date of conception.
Liberty Nation: Will Twitter be the 2024 Paper of Record with DeSantis Announcement?
Florida Governor DeSantis and Elon Musk will announce DeSantis' 2024 presidential run on Twitter Spaces. This marks a departure from traditional campaign launches and may signal a shift in campaign strategies. DeSantis' campaign aims to leverage Twitter's large user base, while Musk hopes to increase engagement on the platform by offering innovative features. The move challenges the media's role in political campaigns and may change the way future campaigns are managed.

Fox News: Montana becomes 1st state to ban drag reading events in schools, libraries
Montana becomes the first state to ban people dressed in drag from reading books to children at public schools and libraries. The bill does not require a sexual element to be banned, making it unique. Drag reading events have been held in some public schools and libraries, drawing protests, and have led to legal challenges regarding free speech and discrimination.

The Epoch Times: Dollar Steady as Debt Ceiling Worries Weigh; Pound Swings After Inflation Data
The U.S. dollar remained just below a two-month high, currently sitting at 103.5 in the face of extended debt ceiling negotiations. A 27% chance of a 25 basis point hike in June has been priced into the market due to recent stronger than expected economic data and fresh remarks from Federal Reserve policy makers. Over in Europe, the euro was 0.17% firmer at $1.0786 while the pound softened after UK inflation slowed by much less than anticipated, with some cautioning that despite the possibility of higher rates, the scale of inflation divergence risks undermining British policy credibility. The RBNZ appears to have surprised markets in leaving the projected cash rate peak at 5.50% unchanged while signalling that its tightening cycle is over, which has led to the Kiwi plunging almost 2% to a near three week low.
The Epoch Times: Oil Prices up After Bullish Saudi Comments
Saudi Arabia's energy minister warned short sellers to "watch out," leading to a rise in oil prices and causing investors to speculate that OPEC+ may consider further output cuts. Brent crude futures rose 1.42 percent to $77.93 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude gained 1.56 percent to $74.05 a barrel. The Memorial Day holiday in the U.S. and higher fuel demand will also impact prices, though concerns over debt ceiling talks and Britain's inflation rate capped price rises.

Yak coaches a seventh-grade travel basketball team in Boca Raton and runs a non-profit organisation called M.T. Athletics which aims to help children through basketball. The Delray Beach Police Department has asked for anyone with information to come forward.
Fox News: Former Seattle man sentenced to 8 years for stealing $1 million in pandemic benefits
Bryan Sparks, a former Seattle resident, was sentenced to over eight years in prison for stealing over $1 million in pandemic relief funds. Sparks and his co-conspirator obtained nearly $522,000 from the Small Business Administration and $520,000 from the Washington State Employment Security Department. The case is one of the largest in dollar terms stemming from pandemic-related fraudulent claims. The U.S. Labor Department's inspector general reported a rampant fraud in relief programs.

Red State: NBCUniversal Sacrifices Veteran Baseball Announcer Glen Kuiper to the Woke Gods, Fires Him After Slip of the Tongue
Beloved Oakland A’s broadcaster Glen Kuiper was fired after an internal review found him guilty of uttering a racial slur during a broadcast of an A's-Royals game earlier this month. During pre-game coverage, Kuiper accidentally used the word when describing the "Negro League Museum." Although Kuiper repeatedly apologized, he was termed "unforgivable" by left-leaning sports site Deadspin and was later fired. NBCUniversal's willingness to sacrifice anyone and anything merely to virtue-signal to the world that it is down for the progressive cause, even when punishing an innocent man for a mistake he clearly did not intend to make, highlights the danger of the new cult of wokeism in sports.
