Powell, the Fed Chairman, said that the tightening of credit standards after the recent bank failures could weigh on economic growth, hiring, and inflation. Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has criticized the Fed’s rate hikes as a ‘brake pedal’ on the economy that is making things too expensive for those using credit.
