Daily Wire: The Hidden Costs Of Biden’s Inflation Are Destroying The American Dream
Inflation in the US continues to plague both the nation and its consumers, with a year-over-year inflation rate of 4.9% in April 2023. Many experts fail to realize that the inflation rate was 13.2% compared to April 2021, inflicting pain on the middle class and poorest Americans. The US real estate market is also in a recession, with declining housing market activity predicted to spill over and push the economy into a recession. Additionally, higher interest rates for cars are causing more drivers to fall behind on their car payments, and Americans are increasingly relying on credit cards to pay for monthly expenses, with 401(k) hardship withdrawals on the rise.
The American Mind: The Constitution, Citizenship, and the New Right
the restoration of American citizenship and the rule of law through a shared national identity, economic nationalism, and a return to traditional values. The Deep State's manipulation of democracy undermines natural rights and promotes the interests of the ruling class. The breakdown of the rule of law, coupled with the rise of BLM riots and COVID-19 restrictions, has ushered in civil conflict which may only be avoided by a common recognition of inalienable rights and a willingness to fight for them. The New Right must openly ally with the AR-15 crowd, reconnect with republican communities, and take action at the state and local levels to oppose despotic rule and promote the restoration of natural rights and freedoms.
Daily Wire: Hillary Clinton: Feinstein Shouldn’t Retire, Would Impede Biden’s Judicial Appointments
Democrats are divided over whether or not 89-year-old Sen. Dianne Feinstein should retire due to poor physical and mental health. Former first lady Hillary Clinton said Feinstein’s resignation would adversely affect President Joe Biden’s judicial appointments. Feinstein serves on the Senate Judiciary Committee, and when calls emerged that she be removed so the panel could advance Biden’s judicial nominees, Republicans rejected the move. However, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) is calling for the elderly senator to step aside despite previously stating he hopes she will fulfill her duty.
Breitbart: Rep. Andrew Clyde: 'ATF Has Gone Rogue,' and GOP Must Rein It In
Republican Rep. Andrew Clyde is rallying support for Congressional representatives to back H.J. Res. 44 bipartisanly, to fight the new ATF pistol brace rule, thereby stopping it from going into effect at the end of May. Clyde said that these efforts could be successful with prospects of Democratic support. House passage of H.J. Res. 44 sends a strong message that this is Congress’s intent. It allows judges to know where Congress stands in court cases against the rule.
The Epoch Times: Mandatory Identity Check for Postal and Proxy Votes in UK Elections
UK government introduces new measures to bolster election integrity, including an online identity check for all applications for a postal or proxy vote. Voters will now have to reapply for a postal vote every three years and people can only act as proxy for a maximum of four people. The changes follow the government's introduction of voter ID requirements, which was put into practice for the first time in the English local elections earlier this month. The opposition Labour party has criticized the new ID requirement as a discriminatory policy that will "disenfranchise millions of voters."
The Blaze: Coalition pushing extreme abortion initiative in Ohio says it isn't trying to undermine parental rights. A member group's explicit agenda suggests otherwise.
Leftist coalition in Ohio is pushing a proposed constitutional amendment to ensure that every individual has the right to make and carry out their own reproductive decisions, including abortion. However, some opposition groups suggest that this amendment will undermine parental rights and impose sex-change mutilations. While proponents of the coalition maintain that the amendment will not affect parental rights, their recently highlighted remarks have done little to inspire confidence.
The Epoch Times: Will the GOP Confront Federal Prosecutors Run Amok?
President Biden is using the Justice Department to target his political opponents, causing devastation to families and communities as Matthew Graves and Jack Smith work to hound Donald Trump. This is a clear violation of the Constitution.

Red State: Black Lives Matter's Funding Fiasco: Why Donations Are Drying Up
Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (BLM) faced a staggering 85% loss in investment accounts and logged $8.5 million in deficit according to financial disclosures. Reports of financial mismanagement, nepotism and questionable expenses have led to a steep decline in fundraising, with donations falling to $9.3 million in FY 2022, an 88% decrease from the previous year. Furthermore, the organization's excessive spending continued, with over $10.5 million allocated to contractors, many of whom were connected to Patrisse Cullors, the former executive director of BLM.
The decline in donations signals growing public awareness of BLM's questionable financial practices and priorities. The group's excessive spending and lack of transparency have fueled skepticism about its commitment to addressing police brutality. These revelations undermine genuine efforts to address police misconduct by presenting all advocates of better policing as grifters exploiting the unjust deaths of Americans for personal gain. It's a setback for a movement that is fighting for true justice and reform.
Fox News: United States announces nearly $524 million in additional aid for Horn of Africa to combat drought
The United States has announced $524 million of additional humanitarian aid for the Horn of Africa, bringing the US humanitarian contribution to the region to $1.4 billion. The funds aim to help the remaining 43.3 million people who need assistance in Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya. The U.N. has appealed for $7 billion, but has received just $1.6 billion, of which nearly $108m is from the Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, and over $416m is from the U.S. Agency for International Development. The U.S. is seeking to attenuate the effects of climate change and combat the worst drought in the region in 40 years.
CARE has warned that the Horn of Africa has been decimated by two failed rain seasons, two locust invasions, conflict and price inflation due to the ongoing war in Ukraine. Over 2.5 million people have migrated due to the crisis, and more than 13.2 million livestock have died due to the extreme weather. While famine has not been declared in Somalia, as more than six million people go hungry, some humanitarians have warned that current trends are worse than in 2011, when 250,000 people died.

Foreign Policy: ASEAN and the Quad Inch Closer Together
The Quad, comprised of Australia, India, Japan, and the United States, has shifted its focus from security to delivering practical benefits to the Indo-Pacific region, which has been better received by Southeast Asia amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The group's emphasis on political values, such as democracy and freedom, may be difficult for some Southeast Asian countries to fully support, but other core principles, such as rule of law, territorial integrity, and peaceful dispute resolution, resonate. ASEAN experts are increasingly open to the Quad, with 69% viewing it as beneficial or complementary to ASEAN's efforts.
However, talk of Quad membership expansion and political agendas may undermine ASEAN unity, and China is wary of closer ASEAN-Quad relations. An incremental approach to ASEAN-Quad cooperation may be beneficial, focusing on practical benefits and inviting ASEAN officials to Quad meetings, while buffering the impacts of sudden policy moves in strategic areas. Ultimately, closer ASEAN-Quad cooperation can alleviate tensions in the region and ensure all nations have a voice.

Townhall: Republicans Should Take Advantage of the Next Bipartisan Effort to Further Undercut the CCP
The Biden Administration's reversal of domestic energy production hurt US energy independence and gave Russia a strategic advantage in Ukraine. While China is a bigger threat, Democrats and Republicans are united in efforts to compete with Beijing through legislation to limit US technology and capital from going to Chinese companies, including the Chips and Science Act. However, policymakers must also address Beijing's increasing investment in open-source instruction set architecture RISC-V, which China uses to create chips for various applications. Both parties must remain tough on China to protect national security and improve the US economic position.
The Epoch Times: How to Lower Your Personal Loan Payments
Entrepreneurs facing high personal loan payments can reduce their financial burden by repaying early, adjusting their loan term, getting an income boost, refinancing, or contacting their lender. Repaying early is the best option, but if that's not possible, extending the loan term can reduce monthly repayments. Additional income from side gigs can help pay off debt, and refinancing can merge unsecured debt into one loan with lower monthly repayments. Negotiating with lenders can also lead to lower interest rates or options such as forbearance or a different repayment schedule.

The Epoch Times: Comedian and Youtuber Uncle Roger Cancelled on Chinese Social Media After Joking About CCP
British-Malaysian comedian Nigel Ng, known for his Uncle Roger character on YouTube, has been blacklisted in Chinese social media. Ng lost his Bilibili and Weibo accounts, where he had 400,000 followings after a video he posted on Twitter in which he poked fun of Chinese President Xi Jinping, China’s social credit system, Huawei and the “One China” policy. Ng has been praised for his satirical comments about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its surveillance state, however, he previously received criticism for removing a video with CCP critic US-based YouTuber Mike Chen from his platform. Many social media users expressed disappointment in Ng’s actions, with some noting that the CCP’s tactics may have been used to silence him.

The Coffee Mill Sharps rifle was invented during the US Civil War when Union soldiers were issued coffee beans to prevent coffee grounds from being tampered with. The Epoch Times: Excess Deaths in Young Canadians Jump to 27 Percent
Excess mortality among Canadians below age 44 increased to 27 percent between August and December 2022, which represents 1,597 more deaths than expected, with opioid-related deaths a contributing factor. Although COVID-19 has been a significant cause of excess mortality in all age groups, it is not a major factor in younger people's deaths. Statistics Canada data shows a decrease in accidents' deaths between August and December 2022, which includes accidental poisonings, compared to the same period in 2019. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development ranks Canada fourth out of its 38 members for excess mortality during August to December 2022.
The Federalist: GOP Should Take On Obesity, Not Biden's Chocolate Milk War
House Republicans, led by Elise Stefanik, are pushing back against the Biden administration's plan to limit sugary chocolate milk in schools. The USDA has proposed reducing childhood sugar consumption by limiting flavored milk in elementary and middle schools, with a limit on chocolate and strawberry flavors in high schools. Stefanik, whose rural New York district attracts big money from Big Dairy, proposed a bill with nine Republican cosponsors to counter the bureaucratic measure and pledged to do everything in her power to stop these efforts. Republicans frame the new guidelines as an episode of federal overreach, despite the childhood obesity crisis in the US.

The Epoch Times: Oregon Governor Wants Authority Over State's Public Defender Agency
Oregon Governor Tina Kotek has requested changes to a Senate bill that would overhaul the state's public defender system. Senate Bill 337 would alter how Oregon offers lawyers to those who cannot pay for their services. The proposed legislation would see the state hiring its own public defenders instead of private defense firms, and moving the Office of Public Defense Services from the judiciary department to the executive branch. Kotek objects to the potential difficulty for accountability under centralized governance, arguing that public defense should remain independent. The issue follows years of public defense failure in the state and has been made worse during the pandemic.

Fox News: Yellowstone National Park officials say man disturbed baby bison, resulting in its death
A man intentionally disturbed a newborn bison calf in Yellowstone National Park, resulting in the animal's death. The man pushed the baby bison from the river and onto the roadway, causing it to be abandoned by the herd and approach cars and people. Park rangers attempted to reunite the calf with the herd, but their efforts failed, leading to the calf being killed by Yellowstone staff for causing a hazardous situation. The National Park Service is asking for the public's help in finding the man, who is described as white and in his 40s or 50s. Visitors are reminded to stay at least 24 yards away from all wildlife in the park to prevent endangering both humans and animals.

The Epoch Times: Microsoft Integrating AI ‘Personal Assistant’ Into Windows 11
Microsoft is adding an AI-powered chatbot called Copilot to Windows 11 to help users with complex tasks via Bing Chat. "AI is going to be the single largest driver of innovation for Windows in the years to come," said Microsoft's chief product officer, Panos Panay. The feature will be available to preview in June.
OpenAI executives have warned that AI poses multiple threats including the likely possibility of superintelligence, which could be the most powerful technology "humanity has had to contend with". However, they believe that with the right approach, AI could create tremendous value in the world. Microsoft's announcement comes shortly after co-founder Bill Gates said personal AI agents could drastically impact the way consumers shop and search online.
