PJ Media: Romney Faces a Challenger for His Senate Seat
Riverton, Utah Mayor Trent Staggs is announcing his candidacy for the U.S. Senate, challenging Mitt Romney in the upcoming election. Staggs aims to be a proven fighter and conservative who is unafraid to stand against the Washington establishment, pledging to fight for secure borders, energy independence, and a stronger military with fewer bases around the world. He also believes that wokeness is a false religion with no business in the government. Meanwhile, Romney has faced criticism from Utah GOP faithful for his weak and middle-of-the-road stance on immigration and his fluctuating loyalty.
The Federalist Papers: Tim Scott Responds to 'The View's' Racially Charged Attack by Pointing Out 'Funny Thing' About One of the Hosts
Republican presidential candidate Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina faces criticism from “The View” co-hosts for not spouting liberal dogma. Scott announced his candidacy for the White House and said he was “living proof that America is the land of opportunity and not a land of oppression.” Co-host Whoopi Goldberg called Scott’s use of the word “victimhood” a “dog whistle,” and Sunny Hostin said that Scott ignored systemic racism. During a Fox News interview, Scott said he is ready to fight the attacks he knows will come from liberals who want him to peddle their story and not his own. Scott said liberalism failed America and called himself “the rule.”
The Blaze: Glenn: Are YOU going to accept THIS from the FBI, DOJ & DC?
Glenn Beck believes that the FBI, DOJ, and D.C. are working against the American people and covering up information we need to know. He mentions a recent government failure and the way they treat whistleblowers. According to Glenn, they’re telling us all to “sit down and shut up.” He worries about the danger of whistleblowers in America.
Newsbusters: CBS’s Gayle King Fears for Her Sisters Because of NAACP Travel Advisory for Florida
The NAACP has issued a travel advisory for Florida due to supposed hostility towards minorities. CBS co-anchor Gayle King expressed concern for her two sisters and black individuals living in the state. Co-anchor Tony Dokoupil argued that critics can vote Governor DeSantis out if they do not like him. The report from correspondent Mark Strassmann hyped the "travel advisory" as if it were a State Department warning and highlighted DeSantis' conservative crackdown, but failed to acknowledge approval of the African American studies AP course and the fact that critical race theory was never taught in schools. It is believed the report was made possible due to lucrative sponsorships from Verizon and Ashley Homestore.
Newsbusters: Humorless NBC Accuses DeSantis Of Campaigning On College Football Grievances
NBC writer Henry Gomez inaccurately portrays Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' jokes and criticisms of other states as offensive in his attempt to derail DeSantis' soon-to-launch presidential campaign. Gomez contends that DeSantis has encountered pushback from competitive fellow governors and GOP officials who believe their states have done just as much, if not more, to advance a conservative agenda. However, nowhere does Gomez cite Republicans who think DeSantis has gone too far. NBC's hit piece ignores the fact that Republican governors typically do Republican things, and all they had to do to turn this basic fact of life into a negative story was to lose their sense of humor.
The Blaze: Second IRS whistleblower was allegedly threatened after internal email warning about DOJ interference in Hunter Biden probe
An IRS special agent has claimed that he faced retaliation after raising concerns about Department of Justice interference in the Hunter Biden investigation. In an email, the case agent, who was allegedly removed from the case for his concerns, said that he believed he was doing the “right thing”. The IRS commissioner has not commented on the case, but other criminal investigations leaders have reprimanded the whistleblower for disclosing information protected by law.

Red State: NV Gov Joe Lombardo Brings His One-Year Gas Tax Holiday Plan to the Legislature
Nevada Governor Lombardo proposes SB 502, which would suspend gas taxes for Nevadans through 2023-2024, using the state's surplus to fund road construction and alleviate costs. Nevada has the sixth highest gas taxes in the US, with an average gas price of $4.21 per gallon. Lombardo's bill would waive a 17.65 cent per gallon state excise tax and make changes to the state commerce tax. The proposed changes to the commerce tax hold symbolic weight for Republicans, who lost their legislative trifecta in 2016, while the gas tax holiday would benefit all motorists in the state.

The Federalist Papers: Frightening AI-Generated Image Goes Viral, Impact of Scare Seen Immediately on the Stock Market
A fake image of an explosion at the Pentagon, created by artificial intelligence, caused real consequences on social media, with the stock market dipping 0.26% in just four minutes. Despite many Twitter users recognising the substandard nature of the image, the AI-generated picture continued to be spread by verified accounts. Some criticised Twitter for allowing the dissemination of the photo, however, Renée DiResta, research manager at Stanford Internet Observatory, stated that "it's a look at how signals that help people decide whether information about breaking news is trustworthy on Twitter have been rendered useless".

Daily Wire: Nick Jonas Sought Therapy After ‘Tragic’ Mistake During Guitar Solo With Kelsea Ballerini: ‘Really Traumatic Moment’
Nick Jonas admitted to suffering a "tragic guitar solo debacle" during a live TV performance with Kelsea Ballerini at the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2016, which caused him to go to therapy. Jonas said he can laugh about it now, but at the time, he blanked out as he walked to Ballerini and hit a wrong note, causing him to "black out basically and clocked that it was wrong and I couldn't stop." The incident shaped the pressure Jonas puts on himself to be perfect and to always be on, and he said the experience taught him not to put so much pressure on himself.
