Breitbart: Denver Mayor: Migrants Bused by Abbott 'Probably Would Have Ended up in Denver' Anyway -- We Have 'Unsustainable' Record Influx
Denver Mayor: Migrants Bused by Abbott 'Probably Would Have Ended up in Denver' Anyway -- We Have 'Unsustainable' Record Influx
Denver Mayor Michael Hancock says the city has received a record influx of migrants since December, which is financially "unsustainable" without more federal assistance. Hancock emphasized that the migrants recently sent to Denver by Texas Governor Greg Abbott would have likely gone there anyway. The city has spent over $17 million since December, but only received a little over $900,000 in reimbursement from FEMA, making the situation unsustainable.

Breitbart: Report: Marianne Williamson Loses 2 Top Campaign Officials Within Days
Report: Marianne Williamson Loses 2 Top Campaign Officials Within Days
Long-shot Democratic primary candidate, Marianne Williamson, lost two campaign officials, campaign manager Peter Daou and deputy manager Jason Call, within days of one another. Williamson’s campaign cited a difference in the campaign’s direction for the departures, but Daou said it was due to an “urgent family obligation”. Call declined to comment on the matter. Roza Calderon will take over as campaign manager. Daou will reportedly have a hand in naming his replacement.

Townhall: Yes, Democrats, Stay Out of Florida
Yes, Democrats, Stay Out of Florida
The Alphabet Mafia, including the NAACP and LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ "community," issued "travel warnings" for Florida, but it only makes sane people want to visit. Racism and homophobia aren't completely eradicated, but systemic bigotry is gone. Microaggressions are proof of the need for victims, which left-wing groups manufacture. Democrats have reversed priorities. The NAACP defeated the Democrat Party then became them, embracing segregation for money and power. The group should be ashamed, but they don't care, dutifully attacking Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on behalf of Democrats. Preaching to the choir looks wildly stupid to normal people.

Report: Glenn Youngkin ‘Reconsidering’ 2024 White House Bid
Republican Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin is considering a bid for the White House in the 2024 election. Youngkin had previously said he would not run for president this year, but is now “reconsidering,” according to a top source close to the governor. A senior Youngkin aide said a potential presidential announcement is likely to come after Virginia’s legislative elections in November.

Townhall: DeSantis for President?
DeSantis for President?
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is expected to announce his candidacy for president soon, but he has a tough road ahead as he must overcome former president Donald Trump's lead in the polls. To do this, DeSantis must convince Trump voters he can finish the job Trump started without the chaos that accompanies the former president and articulate a vision for the future. He also needs to up his game when it comes to communicating with people and responding to Trump's attacks, without descending to his level.

GREG GUTFELD: The NAACP doesn't want people to catch on to the fact that Florida is a great state for all
The NAACP has issued a travel advisory for Florida, claiming that Governor Ron DeSantis aims to erase Black history and restrict diversity programs in schools. However, the accusation has been denied by DeSantis, who has been restricting DEI programs. Additionally, the NAACP's advisory is seen as a political stunt to get people they do not like out of office.

Biden Admin Says It Isn't Negotiating an End to Sanctions on Chinese Defense Minister, Contradicting POTUS at G7
President Biden's Sunday statement that negotiations were underway to lift sanctions on Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu has been walked back by State Department spokesman Matthew Miller. Li was instrumental in acquiring weapons from Russia, resulting in Donald Trump administration sanctions. Despite Biden's comment suggesting improved relations with China, the State Department clarified that there are no plans to lift the sanctions on Li or China more generally.

The Epoch Times: Nearly Half of Australians Fail the Financial Literacy Test: Canstar
Nearly Half of Australians Fail the Financial Literacy Test: Canstar
Younger generations in Australia lack financial literacy, with nearly half of those surveyed failing a test on understanding financial products such as loans, credit cards, and energy bills. Canstar, the comparison website that conducted the survey of 1,000 people, found that on average the score was 11 out of 21, with 60% of respondents believing they were financially literate. The results indicate a gap in understanding between generations, as only 30% of Gen Z passed compared to 60% of baby boomers. The survey found men were more knowledgeable than women.

Despite Australians feeling a cost of living crisis, employment rates remain high and people are more optimistic about personal finances, according to an ANZ and Roy Morgan survey which found consumer confidence had increased last week by 1.4 points, although the index is still below the historical average. Adelaide Timbrell, senior economist at ANZ, said the improvement came from optimism about present and future financial conditions, but noted that confidence was still among the 10 worst results since January 2020. Those with mortgages had lower confidence in financial situations than those who rent or own their homes outright.

Breitbart: Biden Doubles Down on Globalism at G7: U.S. Will 'Not ... Decouple from China'
Biden Doubles Down on Globalism at G7: U.S. Will 'Not ... Decouple from China'
President Biden reiterated his stance on not decoupling the United States from China at the G7 summit, highlighting the need to diversify supply chains to decrease reliance on a single country. He emphasized protecting advanced technologies and resisting aggression detrimental to workers while promoting global collaboration on fair trade policies. His stance opposes economic nationalism propagated by several Republican lawmakers, including ending job-killing free trade with China and ending China's permanent normal trade relations status, responsible for massive trade deficits and job losses, to create effective policies.

Sen. Hawley criticized Biden's statement, pointing to the millions of jobs lost to China. A recent report shows that since 2001, free trade with China has resulted in nearly four million job losses, with three million from the manufacturing sector, and 50,000 manufacturing plants closing down. Despite the negative impact on the economy and job availability, Biden has vetoed a bipartisan-approved plan to reinstate U.S. tariffs on China-made solar panels. While tariffs would lead to reshoring jobs and boosting wages, Biden believes in a diverse yet safe and secure trade relationship with China, promoting collaboration on vital issues like climate change while protecting national security.

Townhall: What's the Matter With Texas Republicans When It Comes to School Choice Legislation?
What's the Matter With Texas Republicans When It Comes to School Choice Legislation?
Texas is not yet part of the year's nationwide school choice drive, but Governor Greg Abbott wants to clear a historic education savings account bill. However, a small group of rural Republican politicians in the House is still voting with the Democrats and teachers unions to block the measure. They claim such a move would take money from their local public schools, which are "working just fine". Critics argue that less than half of the children are reading or doing math at or above grade level in many of these representatives' districts.

Backpacker: The Agony and the Adventure of Hiking the John Muir Trail in a Week
The Agony and the Adventure of Hiking the John Muir Trail in a Week
A group attempts to hike the 221-mile John Muir Trail in just seven days by going ultralight. They manage to cover up to 34 miles a day but suffer from blisters and exhaustion. They conclude that while the ultralight movement is admirable, a 10-day hike with a pack under 25 pounds is a more realistic approach.
