Breitbart: Nolte — Donald Trump Fallout: CNN Primetime Ratings Crash 23% to 400,000 Viewers
CNN's ratings are plummeting after former President Trump's town hall event on May 10. Prior to this event, CNN was suffering from low ratings but alienated its remaining viewers by allowing Trump to look good. CNN's base consists of 450,000 members of the Woke Gestapo and a few conservatives. CNN lost 23% of its viewership, now averaging only 400,000 total primetime viewers and 94,000 demo viewers. CNN's mistake was angering its small base of viewers, and leftist viewers will never forgive CNN for allowing Trump to look that good.
Daily Wire: Tucker Carlson Shuts Down Group Pushing 2024 Run With Legal Threat: ‘Defrauding His Supporters’
The Draft Tucker PAC, launched to get Tucker Carlson to run for president in 2024, has shut down after receiving a legal threat from Carlson’s attorney. Harmeet Dhillon, Carlson’s attorney, sent a cease-and-desist letter to the PAC stating that Carlson “will not run for President in 2024 under any circumstances," and that the PAC’s use of his name and likeliness was damaging to him and defrauding his supporters. The PAC had raised only $212 online before shutting down and will donate the money to charity or return it to donors.

Fox News: FBI abuse of spy law throws renewal into question
The FBI's use of foreign spying tools on Jan. 6 riot suspects has Congress debating the future of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. Members are divided on whether to reauthorize the provision, which allows targeted surveillance of non-U.S. persons located abroad, due to concerns over civil liberties and past abuses. FISA reform has become a priority for both parties following a 2019 review that found inaccuracies and omissions in a FISA warrant application to surveil former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
The Epoch Times: Republican Mega-Donor Abandons Trump: ‘DeSantis Is a Leader’
Republican mega-donor Hal Lambert is supporting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the 2024 presidential race instead of former President Donald Trump. Lambert said he supports DeSantis’ prospects of winning the 2024 race and views him as a leader who knows how to govern. Lambert also founded the investment firm Point Bridge Capital, which manages an exchange-traded fund named “MAGA ETF” that channels investments into companies aligned with Republican political beliefs. Lambert said he decided to support DeSantis after dining with the governor and his wife a few weeks ago. While Lambert acknowledged it will be a battle for DeSantis to defeat Trump, he claimed once DeSantis officially enters the 2024 race, Trump’s poll numbers will drop below 50 percent. Trump’s campaign dismissed Lambert’s decision to support DeSantis.

The Epoch Times: MP Blames 'Pandemic Puppies' For 700 Percent Surge in Dog Attacks
Dog-on-dog attacks have surged by 700 percent since the pandemic, thanks in part to the "pandemic puppies" bought during COVID-19 lockdowns, according to UK MP Anna Firth. Just 14 of the UK's 43 police forces keep records of the attacks, with the true figure estimated by Firth to be as high as 35,000 dogs nationwide. The MP called for a new law to tackle the problem, unveiling a bill in the Commons that would allow owners to pursue justice if their pets are attacked.

Fox News: Piers Morgan mocks Gayle King's defense of Harry and Meghan's 'car chase': 'Diminishes her own credibility'

Morgan argues that King is diminishing her credibility as a journalist by standing behind unsubstantiated claims made by the couple. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's spokesperson claimed that the couple was pursued by paparazzi in a car chase that went on for two hours, while the NYPD stated that the photographers made their transport "challenging," but that they had safely arrived at their destination. Morgan frequently criticizes the couple and has described them as "two poisonous rats" who are threatening to destroy the monarchy after the release of their Netflix documentary.

The Epoch Times: South African Government Working on ICC ‘Escape Route’ for Putin
Senior members of the South African government are reportedly seeking a way to ensure that Russian President Vladimir Putin can attend the upcoming summit of BRICS nations in South Africa. However, Putin is subject to an International Criminal Court arrest warrant in relation to alleged war crimes in Ukraine and it is unclear whether he will attend in person. South Africa's African National Congress administration is required to follow the warrant under law, but many members of the party, who were educated in the former Soviet Union, admire Putin. South Africa is in the process of amending domestic ICC laws to exclude sitting heads of state from arrest on local soil.
Whilst South Africa's Minister of Justice, Ronald Lamola, has said the government will act "legally but judiciously" over the Putin matter, it remains unclear whether Putin will physically attend the summit. Leading members of South Africa's African National Congress have suggested that he is unlikely to attend and that he may be guided by domestic issues. Putin has supported the use of currencies other than the US dollar, recently accusing Washington of "weaponizing" it. BRICS, which stands for Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, is a grouping of major emerging economies. Tehran has sought membership of the group.
National Review: Iran Seizes on Western Inattention with New Round of Executions
Last week, the Iranian government executed three men for their participation in anti-regime demonstrations, sparking criticism from human-rights advocates. The hangings were seen as politically motivated and part of a broader crackdown. Although the protests sparked by the brutal murder of Mahsa Amini last year have continued at a smaller scale, many outside observers have moved on and the West's interest in countering Iran's human rights abuses has diminished. Critics blame the US for dropping the ball after initially supporting the protests and call for a change in messaging and priorities from the Biden administration.
The Epoch Times: GOP Lawmaker Seeks to Block US Taxpayer Dollars From Funding CCP-Affiliated Entities
Republican lawmaker John James introduced the "No American Tax Dollars to CCP Act," a bill that would prohibit US taxpayer dollars from funding companies with ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). James cited the example of the Gotion project in Michigan, which received approval for $175 million in state money for a $2.4 billion electric vehicle battery project. James believes that allowing taxpayer money to go to such projects ultimately aids the CCP in its goal of becoming the preeminent global economy and military by 2049. The bill would also target other foreign entities of concern such as Russia, North Korea, and Iran, and would seek to improve American energy independence.

Breitbart: Moody's Analytics: Skyrocketing Rents Across U.S. Far Outpace Income Growth
Skyrocketing rents across the US, outpacing income growth, hamper access to housing for working- and lower-middle-class Americans, says an economic report by Moody’s Analytics. From 1999 rents surged 135%, leaving incomes trailing with a 77% jump. The share of average US household income needed to rent an average-priced apartment crossed Moody’s 30% threshold for the first time last year, hitting 54% in New York. East Coast rents now burden seven major metros. Rising mortgage rates have boosted rental demand and driven rates further skywards. .
A portion of increased US rental demand stems from decades of mass immigration policy, admits the report. Legal immigration admits over one million people annually along with foreign visa workers. Hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens join the US population every year. Since 1999, almost 16 million immigrants have swelled the US population to over 333 million residents. Even mass-immigration advocates concede the policy inflates housing prices for the mainly working and lower-middle-class Americans. J.D. Vance, Republican senator for Ohio, blames the rise in housing costs on Biden’s “war on home affordability” and the burden of normal immigration. .
The Epoch Times: Are Investors Underestimating Probability of Even Higher Rates?
Investors and analysts believe the Federal Reserve will pause rate hikes in June, but experts warn against underestimating the risk of higher rates. Inflation is more than double the central bank's target and economic data suggests rate hikes may still be necessary. The U.S. economy is stable for now, but systemic risks could force rates higher, and the consensus built by Fed Chair Jerome Powell appears to be breaking. Some argue that the ongoing debt ceiling negotiations in Washington could push rates higher.

Breitbart: Exclusive: Gaetz Asks Austin and Milley Why Drag Shows Are Still Happening on Bases
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has written a letter to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Army Gen. Mark Milley regarding an upcoming drag queen event at Nellis Air Force Base scheduled for June 1, questioning why such events are happening on military bases. Gaetz reminded them of their testimony before the House Armed Service Committee, wherein they stated that drag shows and events were not something the DoD supports or funds and that such things shouldn’t be happening. Gaetz also demanded to know more about the Navy’s drag queen ambassador, Yeoman 2nd Class Joshua Kelley, and asserted that military families are asking for help.
During a March hearing, Gaetz handed a folder filled with evidence of drag queen performances on military bases to Milley, who had claimed ignorance at first but eventually stated that he does not support the events. In the letter, Gaetz listed five specific drag queen events on military bases, asked if the event is appropriate for children, if base commanders are defying the DoD’s direction and intent by facilitating such events, and if taxpayer funds went to supporting the Navy’s ambassadorship program. Gaetz demanded answers and clarification on whether any punitive action has been or will be taken against individuals who facilitated drag events with taxpayer dollars by June 12, 2023.

Children with a higher ratio of Firmicutes to Bacteroidetes will absorb more calories and be more likely to gain weight. Fox News: Geneva airport briefly stops flights after climate activists stage protests against private jets
Climate activists disrupted a private jet fair in Geneva with some sitting down in front of planes and others sticking warning labels on them. The protest temporarily shut Geneva airport to both inbound and outbound flights for about an hour, during which seven flights were diverted and many others delayed. About 80 people were detained and four people, including activists and private security staff, were injured. The protest comes after a similar one in Amsterdam in which climate activists blocked private jets at Amsterdam Schiphol airport, arguing that the super-rich should be stopped from causing vastly more greenhouse gas emissions than the rest of the world's.
