The Epoch Times: Durham Report: Jim Jordan Says 'Everything's on the Table' When Asked About Opening Probe Into Clintons
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan says the committee will investigate individuals highlighted in the recently released Durham report. The report found that the FBI dropped four criminal investigations into former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton ahead of the 2016 presidential election. Durham also found that the probe into former President Donald Trump should not have been launched and faulted the FBI for using different standards when weighing whether it should investigate Trump and Clinton. The FBI admitted to missteps and identified several reforms it has implemented to prevent similar errors in the future.
Fox News: Biden, McCarthy to meet Monday on debt ceiling 10 days before funding crunch
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is meeting with President Biden for the third time this month to reach a debt ceiling agreement as there are only 10 days left until the US government runs out of cash. Negotiations have been ongoing for over a week, and although talks have been productive, there are still obstacles to overcome. Democrats have insisted on raising the debt limit while Republicans are lining up behind the House-passed Limit, Save, Grow Act, which would increase the federal borrowing limit by $1.5 trillion while also slashing spending. Both sides have agreed that action is needed to reduce the deficit, but each has different ideas about how to do it.
The Federalist Papers: Elon Musk Under Investigation by Gov't After What He Allegedly Did to 'Twitter Hotel'
San Francisco officials are investigating Twitter and its former CEO, Elon Musk, after six former employees accused the company of violating local and federal laws in turning its headquarters into a “Twitter Hotel” for workers during the company's transformation. The employees filed a lawsuit in Delaware federal court, which prompted San Francisco officials to open an investigation into Twitter. This comes after San Francisco officials opened two other investigations into Twitter following Musk's purchase of the social media platform. The Delaware lawsuit alleges that Musk and his leadership team violated building codes, contracts and refused to honour payments due to the employees.
Breitbart: Poll Shows Biden Ratings Sagging on Immigration, Economy, and Guns
President Biden's approval ratings are low, with only 33% of American adults approving of his job on the economy. A recent poll shows that voters are also discontent with his handling of gun policy and immigration. Despite negative ratings, Democrats are still more likely to say that the country is headed in the right direction .
Liberty Nation: HollyWeird: Disney Drama Unplugged
Disney’s pivot to wokeness has alienated its core customer base, leading to financial woes and political battles. The company has put warning labels on classic movies, changed introductions, and updated rides and attractions to remove supposed negative depictions and stereotypes. The House of Mouse is also in a legal feud with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, leading to the cancellation of a $1 billion campus and a lawsuit against the governor for violation of the company’s right to free speech and breach of contract. From layoffs to streaming issues, Disney has painted itself into a corner, losing subscribers and profits alike. The company may have gained progressive points but lost the loyalty of families and conservatives, spurring a Dump Disney campaign and making it hard to maintain its once-family-friendly reputation.
Spectator USA: What has Taiwan learned from Ukraine?
The Grand Hotel in Taipei displays framed photos of foreign leaders and celebrities who have visited, representing informal recognition of Taiwan. Liz Truss visited Taiwan and gave a speech proposing to fast-track the country into the trans-Pacific free trade bloc. Donald Trump's 2016 phone call to Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen is remembered fondly by some Taiwanese, who see it as recognition of their country. China's military drills encroaching on the Taiwan Strait are a looming threat, but Taiwan is ready to fight and hopes the US will come to their aid. Taiwanese government's tax rebate to citizens is a unique move, showing the government's careful management of the economy.
Fox News: Sinn Féin gains record wins in Northern Ireland local elections, encouraging return of government
Sinn Féin made record gains in Northern Ireland local elections due to voters' frustration with the DUP's blocking of a power-sharing government since the DUP walked out to protest a post-Brexit customs border between Northern Ireland and Great Britain. Sinn Féin wants unification with the Republic of Ireland while DUP wants Northern Ireland to remain within the UK. This is the second time since last year Sinn Féin became the largest party. The elections were a great victory for Sinn Féin and a significant loss for moderate parties like the Social Democratic and Labour Party.

A social media post by Black Lives Matter activist attorney Benjamin Crump, calling pregnant nurse Sarah Comrie a racist, was deleted after it emerged that a viral smear campaign was false. Crump tweeted a video of Comrie arguing with young black men over a paid-for Citi Bike, claiming she had tried to steal it and had weaponized her tears. However, the nurse, who was six months pregnant, and who had just completed a 12-hour shift, was revealed to be the victim of theft and false accusations of racism. The nurse's employer put her on leave of absence after Crump and others labelled her a racist.
Fox News: Reparations fight roars as some cities push million-dollar payments to Black Americans: 'Our civic obligation'
The debate over reparations for Black Americans is heating up in the US. Proponents argue it's a long overdue policy addressing a history of oppression, while opponents say it's a misguided and divisive approach that won't solve the problems facing the Black community. Policy experts are divided on the feasibility and necessity of reparations, with some calling for a larger conversation about who's been harmed and how before money allocations are decided. Municipalities around the country are also taking action, with some recommending direct payments or property assistance for qualified Black residents. Meanwhile, a recent poll found nearly two-thirds of Americans oppose reparations.

The Epoch Times: Leaked Letter Adds to Debate Over EncroChat Evidence
French magistrate Lydia Pflug's letter to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) reveals that the EncroChat messages were retrieved from the messaging application on the phone, decrypted by the application itself, and unencrypted, contradicting police claims that the network was hacked in a “live intercept” operation. The letter has surfaced as EncroChat campaigners demand tests to prove their allegations. The operation Venetic, by Britain's National Crime Agency (NCA), based on the compromised data, has led to the sentencing of over 1,000 individuals on charges ranging from drug possession to conspiracy to murder. While the development would undermine the cases, it may not be effective for defendants who admitted their guilt.
