Fox News: More than 150 Republicans unite to condemn Biden's 'ill-considered' electric vehicle push
More than 150 Republicans unite to condemn Biden's 'ill-considered' electric vehicle push
House Republicans, including top leadership members, have condemned recent environmental regulations by the Biden administration aimed at increasing electric vehicle purchases. The GOP lawmakers argue that the regulations would lead to higher costs for consumers, isolate Americans in rural areas, and increase the US's dependence on China. If the regulations are finalized, a projected 67% of new sedan, crossover, SUV, and light truck purchases could be electric by 2032.

The Republican lawmakers wrote a letter to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Michael Regan expressing their concerns that the proposals are a deliberate market manipulation to prop up EVs, which would only benefit the Chinese Communist Party. The regulations, which would affect car model years 2027 through 2032, are a part of President Biden's plan to ensure 50% of car purchases are electric by 2030 and would provide a "clear pathway for a continued rise in EV sales."

American Thinker: OK, Dems. Let’s apply the George Santos standard to everyone
OK, Dems. Let’s apply the George Santos standard to everyone
Democrats want to remove Republican George Santos from Congress over claims he deceived voters, putting the GOP at risk of losing their House majority. The New York Times is calling on House Republicans to remove Santos and asking why he's still in office, but some are questioning why House Democrats who have deceived voters are still in power. The editorial suggests that the Times should return its Pulitzer for reporting on false Trump Russia collusion stories, and that if Santos is to be removed, all House Democrats involved in the fabrication should be held accountable as well.

Foreign Policy: Thai Vote Spells Danger for Junta and Monarchy
Thai Vote Spells Danger for Junta and Monarchy
Thailand's opposition party, the Move Forward Party (MFP), won a resounding victory in the elections with backing from younger Thais dissatisfied with old guard and the monarchy. Despite this success, the opposition faces numerous obstacles to execute real change, and the Thai military junta and monarchy still wield immense power through the unelected Thai Senate. Civil society organizations played a crucial role in mobilizing voters and delivering a competitive election, though election day was not without anomalies such as prevalent vote buying, many invalid ballots, and a lack of transparency from the Election Commission. The opposition's overwhelming support for change signals that Thai people want meaningful change, which poses a new challenge to the country's elites.

Fox News: DeSantis lands endorsement from MAGA mega-donor
DeSantis lands endorsement from MAGA mega-donor
Republican mega-donor Hal Lambert endorses Gov. Ron DeSantis over former President Trump for the 2024 presidential election. Lambert cited DeSantis' conservative record and his ability to win as reasons for his endorsement. He also mentioned that Trump is too focused on the 2020 election, while the upcoming election will be a referendum on Trump instead. Lambert believes that DeSantis can beat Trump in the race and not alienate Trump's supporters, which he said is essential to winning the general election. Immigration is set to be a significant campaign issue yet again, and Lambert said millions of illegals swarming across the border under Biden is a reminder that Trump failed to fulfill his biggest campaign promise of building a wall on Mexico's border and making them pay for it.

American Thinker: The greenie art vandals are back, this time targeting Rome's Trevi Fountain
The greenie art vandals are back, this time targeting Rome's Trevi Fountain
Climate activists dumped charcoal into Rome's Trevi Fountain, claiming it was diluted vegetable charcoal, resulting in extensive damage to the public art. Italy's Ultima Generazione climate group said the action served to bring attention to the climate crisis and public subsidies for fossil fuels, linking it to recent flash floods in Emilia-Romagna, where 14 people died. The 18th-century Trevi Fountain, which attracts millions of tourists annually, had to have 300,000 gallons of freshwater to flush out the garbage. The act did not impress the monument's fans and UNESCO, who have described the monument as "a masterpiece of art."

The act by Italian climate activists, who dumped charcoal into the Trevi Fountain, which is an 18th-century masterpiece of art, simply to bring awareness to public subsidies for fossil fuels didn't make sense. The loss of freshwater in a Mediterranean country already facing extreme weather is a detrimental and unsustainable act. This grotesque act of vandalism could also contribute to the damage of the porous marble of the Trevi Fountain. The fountain is one of Rome's most beautiful landmarks that has seen multiple cleanings and restorations over the years because it means so much to the people of Rome and attracts millions of tourists annually.

The commemorative can honoring Mulvaney's "gender transition" was seen as a pro-trans stance, out of line with Bud Light's consumer base. Sales dipped and other similar products saw significant increases. Bud Light responded by buying unsold cases of beer past their expiration date and is exploring new messaging strategies, including a return to football and country music advertising, in an attempt to reconnect with its core audience.

PWC-Specific Life Jackets
Choosing the right life jacket is important for personal watercraft riders. Coast Guard-approved Type III models are ideal, with the latest PWC-specific designs tailored to individual riders. For recreational riders, a classic ski vest with a front-entry design works well, while performance-minded riders should look for vests with side-entry and segmented or hinged flotation blocks for protection and flexibility. Touring and fishing riders should prioritize vests with plenty of pockets and segmented foam for comfort during extended rides. It is important to choose the right size and perform a fit check before hitting the water.

Forbes: What Is The Human Cost Of Global Warming?
What Is The Human Cost Of Global Warming?
A new report shows that global warming could put the fates of up to 2 billion people at risk. Extreme heat is already killing the poorest and most vulnerable in India, while Nigeria and Pakistan are also heavily affected. There is potential for large-scale movements of people as higher temperatures make life unbearable by affecting water, agriculture and food. Global warming is hitting the poorest parts of the world the hardest, so urgent action is necessary to reduce the risks by a factor of five. This includes investing in renewables, saving tropical rainforests and electrifying more of the economy. The low-hanging fruit is switching to renewables, which are already cost-competitive with alternative fuels. The cost of limiting temperature rises to 1.5 degrees Celsius is $48 trillion over 20 years which is a potential concern for policymakers. Professionals say that the corporate community can make a big impact by taking climate action and the use of green energy.
