National Review: The Corner: Why Can’t Progressive Writers Defend the Law?
Ezra Klein has objected to President Biden taking the “14th Amendment option” in regards to the debt ceiling, noting that if the maneuver is declared unconstitutional, Biden will be blamed for market chaos. Klein lives in a lawless world where ridiculous ideas are as worthwhile as centuries of understanding. The legality of the debt ceiling or a trillion-dollar platinum coin doesn’t depend on how liberals read the Constitution or the Coinage Act but rather how conservative Supreme Court justices read it, making it questionable if any Democrat will try these ideas. This shows a lack of respect for the Constitution and is a disregard for American democracy .
Foreign Policy: In Jakarta, Political Kingmaking Starts Now
Indonesia's next presidential election is not until February 2024, but the campaign is already underway, with parties sizing up potential candidates. The three leading candidates present three paths for Indonesia: continuity of a democratic brand of politics, a return to authoritarianism, or the embrace of growing religious radicalism. The leading candidate, Ganjar Pranowo, is widely seen as the one to beat, representing a new generation of democratically-minded politicians that lack ties to the military or elite families. His most significant opponent, Indonesian Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto, is from an older political generation and has possible ties to massacres and disappearances of pro-democracy activists. A third candidate, Anies Baswedan, has ties to Indonesia’s radical Islamist movement, posing a threat to the country's religious minorities and moderate Muslims.

Foreign Policy: Ukrainians Are Directing Their Anger at Their Church
The Ukrainian government faces pressure to ban the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) due to allegations of collusion with the enemy. Many Ukrainians draw a line at paying respect to priests and other church officials suspected of sympathizing or even passing on intelligence to the Russians. While some deny colluding with the enemy, the UOC-MP risks losing credibility amongst Ukrainians.

National Review: The Corner: Setting the Record Straight on the New School at UNC-CH
UNC-Chapel Hill's School of Civic Life and Leadership has faced opposition from left-wing faculty who believe nothing at the university should be beyond their control. However, Dr. Perrin Jones, a member of the university’s board of trustees, states that the claims that the formation of the school was unauthorized are false. The curriculum of the new school had been in the works for years and has involved faculty input from the beginning. Jones argues that the opposition to the initiative proves the need for such a program at UNC-Chapel Hill.

Flag And Cross: 'My Movie Is Being Removed From Disney+ Or Why Streaming Sucks'
Co-writer Jake Thornton is disheartened that The Princess, a Hulu Original film that he co-wrote with Ben Lustig, is being removed from Hulu and Disney+ as part of cost-saving measures. Thornton and Lustig are saddened by the decision and disappointed that they learned about it through the press instead of through direct communication from the studio. The removal of the film means the creative team and writers will no longer receive residual payments, which is an issue with the current streaming model. Thornton believes the entertainment industry is broken and requires a new model that rewards movies and shows based on viewership.
Fox News: What Elon Musk gets wrong about career advice
Self-help writer Bruce Feiler critiques Elon Musk's recent statement that it is hard to find fulfillment in work with increasing automation. Feiler argues that new waves of technology and flexible working conditions offer more opportunity for workers to find enjoyable work than ever before. By focusing on discovering one's purpose and values, individuals can set meaningful goals for themselves. Feiler encourages following one's instincts rather than the advice of established individuals like Musk.
