The Epoch Times: ANALYSIS: The Biggest Revelation From the Durham Report
The Durham Report's crucial finding is that the FBI's justification for opening its investigation into the Trump campaign was false. Special counsel John Durham's investigation found that George Papadopoulos did not mention Clinton emails or a plot between Russia and the Trump campaign during a conversation with Australian diplomat Alexander Downer. Downer's tip, which was prompted by the release of allegedly hacked DNC emails by WikiLeaks, was the sole basis for the FBI's Crossfire Hurricane investigation. The investigation was further fueled by text messages between FBI officials expressing their hatred of Trump and shared desire to derail his campaign.
The Right Scoop: FOR REAL: The AP does a puff piece on John Fetterman dressing like a slob
Senator John Fetterman is getting positive media coverage for wearing casual clothes in the Senate after his hospitalization for depression. Male senators are required to wear jackets and ties on the Senate floor, but Fetterman votes from the doorway of the Democratic cloakroom or the side entrance in his signature baggy Carhartt sweatshirts and gym shorts. People close to Fetterman say his relaxed style is a sign he is making a robust recovery after enduring clinical depression and a stroke. Some are criticizing the media's positive reception of his casual attire while not giving the same treatment to Republicans.
The Epoch Times: Expert Panel Upholds Ruling Against MP Who Breached COVID Rules
Scottish MP Margaret Ferrier has lost her appeal against a 30-day suspension from the House of Commons for breaching COVID-19 rules. The Independent Expert Panel dismissed her claim that the proposed ban amounts to double jeopardy and said "there could be no lesser sanction" for Ferrier's "blatant and deliberate dishonest intent". The SNP MP had travelled between London and Scotland in September 2020 after testing positive for COVID-19, exposing others to the virus. A by-election could be held in Ferrier's Rutherglen and Hamilton West constituency if MPs decide to impose the suspension.
Newsbusters: Whoopi, Hostin: Tim Scott Has ‘Clarence Thomas Syndrome’ on Race in US
Senator Tim Scott announced his presidential bid, but the hosts of ABC's The View, including multi-millionaires Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin, attacked him with racially motivated comments. Goldberg accused Scott of using "dog whistle" language to appeal to GOP voters, while Hostin suggested that Republicans have a racism problem. Host Ana Navarro and co-host Sara Haines also made racially tinged comments while expressing support for Scott's candidacy. The View's opposition to Scott was fueled by sponsorships from Dawn and Colgate.
The Epoch Times: Sen. Graham: Durham Report Shows FBI Is a 'Political Weapon' Targeting Trump
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) has said that special counsel John Durham's investigation shows that the FBI became a political tool, arguing that America is in a dangerous time if a federal law enforcement agency can spread a "false story" about a US presidential candidate. "They wanted to get Trump. They didn’t care how they did it," Graham said. Several Republicans, including Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), have since called for Congress to target the budget of the FBI in light of Durham’s discovery.
The FBI's conduct during the Trump-Russia investigation was "the reason that current FBI leadership already implemented dozens of corrective actions, which have now been in place for some time", according to an FBI statement in response to the Durham report. Durham's over 300-page report reflects a departure from how the bureau approached other politically sensitive investigations in 2016. FBI agents applied to renew secret-court surveillance warrants on Page despite admitting, both at the time and subsequently, that they had no probable cause. Republicans are now calling for Congress to defund the FBI and pursue new investigations as Durham's report shows that the FBI became a political weapon against a former US president.
The Blaze: Texas speaker of the House slurs his speech, struggles to identify colleague during awkward legislative meeting: Video
Texas Speaker of the House, Dade Phelan, appeared to be slurring his words, repeating himself and misidentifying a female representative during a state legislative session. The out-of-sorts speaker's behavior led to questions about possible public intoxication or a serious medical episode. One user attributed his performance to a stroke, while another said it looks "neurological to me, not drunk." Phelan's office has not commented on the incident.
The Federalist Papers: Washington Post Hit With $3 Billion Defamation Lawsuit By Trump’s Social Media Company
Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) is suing The Washington Post for defamation, seeking $3.78 billion in damages. TMTG, which owns the social media platform Truth Social, claims that an article published by the newspaper linking the company to securities fraud and other legal infringements was a "severe hit piece" responsible for "massive losses" that pose a "grave threat" to the platform. TMTG alleges that The Washington Post propagated nine inaccurate assertions while employing individuals inside and outside the organization to ensure the defamatory content reached a wider audience, thereby exacerbating the harm inflicted on TMTG.
Daily Wire: WaPo Reporter Asked Tim Scott If He Is Still A Virgin
Senator Tim Scott was asked about his virginity by Washington Post reporter Ben Terris, who later explained that he had only asked because Scott had been a vocal proponent of abstinence outside of marriage. Terris used the moment to promote his upcoming book, "The Big Break: The Gamblers, Party Animals, and True Believers Trying to Win in Washington While America Loses Its Mind." Scott has announced his bid for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.
Fox News: Over 100 former Trump administration officials back DeSantis for president: 'A proven winner'
Over 100 former Trump administration officials have formed "The Eight-Year Alliance" to promote Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as the Republican Party's 2024 presidential nominee. They consider DeSantis a "proven winner" and a viable candidate for two terms, while also seeking to prevent Trump from becoming a lame-duck president if he wins the White House. The sources emphasized they were not seeking to bash Trump, but rather were now wholly supporting DeSantis.
Fox News: NAACP issues travel advisory for Florida even though board chairman lives in state
The NAACP issued a travel advisory against Florida, citing it as openly hostile to African Americans, people of color, and LGBTQ+ individuals, due to Governor Ron DeSantis' policies. This is despite NAACP's chairman, Leon W. Russell, living in the Tampa Bay area. DeSantis dismissed the advisory as a stunt, citing the state's record-high tourist travel.

The American Mind: Let’s Stay In
The rise of the American hikikomori involves young men retreating from society, leading to negative outcomes such as suicide and drug overdose. Seven million prime working-age men have no intention of finding a job and spend an average of 2,000 hours per year on screens. Social isolation destroys both the brain and the body, as those without close friends are far likelier to die younger. Something needs to be done to help these desperate souls, such as community events explicitly designed to bring disillusioned males together (, ).
The Blaze: Bud Light to buy back unsold, expired beer amid boycott
Amid a boycott of Anheuser-Busch brands after an unsuccessful partnership with a transgender influencer, Bud Light has offered to buy back expired beer from its distributors. The brewer's promotional move with Dylan Mulvaney resulted in a six-week drop in sales following a backlash from conservative consumers. Anheuser-Busch intends to overcome the boycott and turn its image around by including Bud Light in its sponsorship of a veterans organisation and reviving TV ads themed around country music and football. Sales plummeted 28% for Bud Light in the second week of May versus the same week last year, while rivals Miller Lite and Coors Light's sales rose by 15% and 17%, respectively.

Fox News: Trump-appointed judge rules against transgender student's demand to wear heels and dress to graduation
A transgender high school student in Mississippi was denied the right to wear a dress and heels to her graduation, after a Trump-appointed judge blocked an emergency restraining order. The U.S. District Judge ruled in favour of the district dress code policy which stated L.B. would be removed from graduation if she showed up in the outfit. The ACLU argued the decision was a violation of Title IX and First Amendment right to freedom of expression. The graduation took place on Saturday and L.B. did not attend.
Red State: How Many Identity Boxes Can One Google Doodle Check?
Google commemorates Barbara May Cameron's 69th birthday with a Google Doodle created by queer artist Sienna Gonzales. Cameron was a Hunkpapa Lakota Native American activist, photographer, and writer known for advocating LGBTQIA+ acceptance in the Native American community and addressing racism in queer spaces. The PC police might be happy with the tribute, but it's just another example of Google's bias, which ignored important anniversaries like D-Day and Reagan's centennial birthday and ridiculed patron saint of the physicist community, Erwin Schrödinger.

Euromaidan Press: Russo-Ukrainian War. Day 453: Critical situation in Bakhmut
Russian forces continue to attack Ukraine, launching missiles and drones on military and infrastructure facilities. Ukrainian forces have gained ground on the flanks of Bakhmut, but Russian forces continue to advance on key territories in Lymansk and Bakhmut. The US has announced a $375 million aid package for Ukraine, while there are discussions of sending F-16s to Ukraine, although Ukraine has assured they will not use them to attack Russian territory. Ukraine has also sentenced a man in Odesa to 15 years in prison for sharing sensitive military information with Russia
Daily Wire: Biden Moves Toward Greenlighting F-16s For Ukraine
Biden is considering allowing Ukraine to have F-16 fighter jets after rejecting the request earlier this year due to concerns over escalating the war with Russia. Zelensky promised that the fighter jets would be used “wherever Russian troops are within Ukraine and the area,” Biden said. Moscow has warned against providing Ukraine F-16s, saying that such escalation would be a “colossal risk.”
Russia claimed to have captured the Eastern Ukraine city of Bakhmut over the weekend, but Zelensky denied the reports at the G7 summit in Hiroshima. On Monday, Russia said that a group of Ukrainian commandos crossed into Russian territory in its Belgorod region. Ukraine said the force was acting independently and did not enter Russian territory on orders from Kiev.

Forbes: Bank Of America Predicts S&P 500 Will Test All-Time High This Year — But Other Experts Are Much More Cautious
Bank of America increased its year-end price target for the S&P 500 by 8%, citing a months-long stretch of gains and companies’ cost-cutting efforts, as well as the AI boom to most likely reach 4,300. However, Morgan Stanley predicted that S&P's 15% rise over the last six months was fueled by mass panic buying and the deep earnings recession on deck later this year will limit the rally due to the higher interest rates.

Forbes: ‘The Little Mermaid’ Review: Halle Bailey Enchants In The New Live-Action Disney Film
Disney's live-action version of "The Little Mermaid" starring Halle Bailey as Ariel is set to make a splash in theaters on May 26th. Bailey's performance is superb, bringing gentleness and innocence to the role while also portraying a tenacity within her voice that no previous Disney live-action film has been able to replicate. Melissa McCarthy as Ursula embodies the perfect mix of sinister and humorous, while Jonah Hauer-King's performance as Prince Eric is vulnerable and endearing. The film stays true to the original 1989 animated version while also bringing its own modern vision to the story.

The Epoch Times: Stressed About Incontinence? Management and Treatment Tips for a Common, Sometimes Embarrassing Ailment
Urinary incontinence affects a third of adults in the US. The condition occurs due to a weakened pelvic floor, nerve or muscle damage, or bladder control problems. Pads and liners are commonly used to manage urine leakage, but using plastic-free, organic options offers benefits over traditional pads. Daily Kegel exercises can help manage stress and urge incontinence, while a pessary device can reposition the urethra to reduce leakage. Diet changes, such as limiting caffeine intake, weight loss, and medication review are other methods to treat urinary incontinence.

Fox News: Biden's 'pandemic treaty' would surrender power to WHO bureaucrats, House rep warns
Rep. Chris Smith, R-N.J., will chair a hearing on the Biden Administration's potential entry into an international pandemic treaty that Smith says could cede American sovereignty to the World Health Organization (WHO). Smith concerns stem from Biden's proposed amendments to the WHO's International Health Regulations, which Smith says could grant WHO significant power over the US without any consultation with the country. The hearing will help bring much-needed transparency to the administration's aggressive efforts to enter this new accord with the WHO.
Fox News: Hospital's alleged pay-per-microwave usage sign for employees goes viral
A photo of a sign suggesting that employees at an undisclosed hospital were being charged for microwave usage was posted anonymously on Reddit. The sign, posted in a staff break room, stated that one microwave use cost $2, while a monthly, unlimited pass was available for $30. The Redditor who posted the image, Berezis, clarified in comments that the sign applied to hospital employees, although doubts have been raised as to its legitimacy. While some saw the funny side of the payments system, others voiced support, citing messy or property-damaging colleagues and recommending the purchase of private microwaves instead.

A retired Canadian military member is seeking $11 million in damages from the Canadian Armed Forces and the federal government because of a "negligent investigation" into the attempted murder of his children by his former wife in July 2015. He alleges that his ex-wife purposely set fire to her home while she and their three children slept inside, after she attempted to sedate the children with cold medicine. The mother was later convicted of three counts of attempted murder and two counts of arson, but only after years of "erroneous investigation" passed. The father is seeking damages for legal costs and "psychological and emotional injury" that his children continue to experience as a result of the fire.

The list raised several eyebrows, especially leaving off one of the Colts' most legendary players.
Flag And Cross: Watch: Bubba Wallace Gives NASCAR Fans Middle Finger After Being Booed
Controversial NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace was booed by fans after a disappointing finish at the Tyson 250 truck series race in North Carolina, prompting him to take a parting shot at the jeering crowd. He finished the race in fifth place but seemed unfazed by their reaction, telling reporters "as long as you continue to live your life, judging a book by its cover, that’s who you are." Wallace finished second in the All-Star Race the next day but tarnished his achievement with a middle finger gesture during a post-race interview.
National Review: A North Carolina Racetrack Benefits from Unnecessary Federal Largesse
North Wilkesboro Speedway, a famous early NASCAR track in North Carolina, hosted an all-star race yesterday after being vacant since 1996. The return of the race was partially funded by $18 million from the American Rescue Plan Act, approved by Republicans in the state legislature. While the race was well-received, the small size of the historic facility makes it unlikely to hold a points-paying race in the future, and stadium subsidies have been shown to provide little economic benefit.

Keep an eye on the temperature and rainfall prior to hitting the water and fish slowly using a dead drift or slow jigging method.
