Breitbart: Poll: Most Voters Believe Joe Biden Engaged in 'Illegal Influence Peddling'
A Harvard/Harris poll found that 63% of registered voters, including 83% of Republicans, believe that Hunter Biden was involved in an "illegal influence peddling scheme" while his father Joe Biden was Vice President. A majority of 53% of respondents also believe that President Biden was involved in this scheme with his son. The survey also found that 55% of all participants believed that the FBI was not fully investigating Hunter Biden's laptop or foreign business dealings.

The FBI is facing justified scrutiny after the Durham report and whistleblower hearings, but calls for its defunding are fatuous. The corruption of its integrity and doxing of street agents are symptomatic of the national corruption of character and discourse, and the weaponization of the FBI under the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiative is a pernicious and amorphous "equity" that devalues those deemed to be minorities and replaces equal treatment under the law with politicization. The FBI needs a director with a mandate to change its culture and break free from being compromised by the left.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) opposes President Biden's call to increase taxes to address the debt ceiling talks. Instead, she suggests eliminating Green New Deal tax credits, amounting to hundreds of billions of dollars, going to companies owned by Communist China. Malliotakis proposed to claw back the COVID money that is not being used and to cut spending in other areas. She also criticized Sen. Schumer (D-NY) for not taking any action on the migrant crisis and urged for a partner in government.

President Biden's executive order on "environmental justice" empowers federal agencies to use the concept to justify implementing policies and regulations in the name of addressing the "climate crisis." The EPA has already cited justice and equity rationales for eliminating coal and gas power plants, as well as gas stoves, ovens, furnaces, and water heaters, claiming that children are uniquely vulnerable to climate-related impacts. However, the agency and Biden's EO ignore the reality that closing coal and gas power plants before America has sufficient alternative electricity supplies will lead to repeated blackouts, and will disproportionately affect minority and low-income families who cannot afford backup generators.

Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) said that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) needs to pass a debt limit increase and push President Joe Biden to accept a deal before the June 1 deadline. The House has already passed a bill for a debt limit increase, but Biden rejected it as "extreme" and has refused to negotiate. The Republican bill includes modest federal spending cuts back to 2022 levels over several years and requires work requirements for welfare, which Tenney says are "very popular" given perceptions that able people are staying out of the workforce.

He believes that group pride is a characteristic of all left-wing thought and activism, leading to totalitarianism, and therefore the LGBTQ movement does everything possible to force every institution to celebrate Pride Nights, Days, Weeks, and Months. The author argues that no choice is involved in being gay, lesbian, or bisexual, and therefore there is no moral accomplishment to be proud of. He believes that group pride must be accompanied by group shame, and if one is not prepared to be ashamed of their group, they should not take pride in it.

Fox News: On this day in history, May 23, 1900, Sgt. William H. Carney receives Medal of Honor
Sgt. William H. Carney, an African American, was awarded the Medal of Honor for his efforts at protecting the American flag during the Civil War on May 23, 1900. Born into slavery, he joined the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment, and carried the flag to the fort, rallying and inspiring the men around him despite being seriously injured. This battle serves as a pivotal example of African American valor during the Civil War and inspired more Black men to enlist. Sgt. Carney died on Dec. 9, 1908, and he is buried in New Bedford, Massachusetts.

She re-introduced the "Affordability is Access Act," which would ensure that insurers fully cover over-the-counter birth control without any fees or out-of-pocket costs. The bill would build on a requirement in Obamacare that most health insurance companies provide contraceptive coverage without co-pay.

The SEC's refusal to issue a clear set of guidelines or rules has led regulators to improvise and maximise their power through regulation by enforcement, the article added. The crypto industry itself is stepping up its political organising ahead of the 2024 election and most American crypto companies are backing Ripple, it said.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is facing criticism from both sides, including within the Republican Party, due to his fight with Disney. Some Republican candidates have pounced on the situation, but DeSantis remains committed to his populist-conservative ideology. The media's narrative of Florida's economic development being trashed over politics is false, and Floridians do not need Disney's expansion. However, Trump's constant criticism of DeSantis only reinforces the Democrat's narratives on the issue. The NAACP has also issued a formal travel advisory for the state due to Governor DeSantis' attempt to restrict diversity programs in Florida schools.
