American Thinker: Bill Barr Is His Own Worst Enemy
Bill Barr, a Uniparty propagandist and Deep State shill, is making the rounds on TV, insisting that the feds will soon indict Donald Trump for mishandling classified documents. Barr continues to play the "scolding father" while ignoring the crimes committed by the government and emphasizing Trump's supposed document infractions. Barr's loyalty to the Deep State makes him his own worst enemy.
Despite evidence of government malfeasance in the Obama-Clinton Intelligence Community's plot to depose President Trump, federal corruption, and political persecution, Bill Barr expects Trump to be arrested and tried for possessing documents that he was empowered to declassify. Hillary Clinton and Obama faced no consequences for their crimes, while Trump is continually persecuted. Democrats are inventing crimes to use against Trump that would never be attempted against any other politician. The tyrannical Deep State runs free, and the innocent are imprisoned.

He has commitments from expected candidates, Vice President Mike Pence and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as speakers. Brown endorsed Donald Trump in 2016 and was later appointed as U.S. ambassador to New Zealand. Additionally, Brown hinted at the possibility of running for Senate again and states that he is "going to help good people from around the country and try to bring some sanity back to the equation."

The Epoch Times: Widow who held joint funeral for daughter and husband feels 'alive again' marrying widower who lost his son
Alice Palmer, a retired caregiver from Liverpool, England, found love with Lee Palmer after both their partners and children died. Alice's husband and daughter passed away days apart in 2019, while Lee lost his wife to a sudden heart attack in 2019 and his son to sepsis in 2013. The couple met on a support site to connect widows and widowers, and they tied the knot in 2022. Alice said it was a "relief and comfort to love and be loved again," and that "you have to learn to live with your loss, otherwise it eats away at you."
Washington Free Beacon: Florida Man in Full
Dave Barry's new novel, Swamp Story, is set in the Florida Everglades and follows multiple overlapping plotlines involving a young mom named Jesse Braddock, her unfaithful baby daddy Slater, and a colorful local entrepreneur named Ken Bortle. As Jesse goes on a walk with her baby, she stumbles upon a buried treasure that turns out to be in high demand among some bad hombres. With short, brisk chapters and a mix of humor and tension, Swamp Story offers a respite from the political swamp, featuring weird characters and events that could only exist in Florida.
Washington Free Beacon: Race, Rights, and the Rules of Adoption
In her book You Should Be Grateful, Angela Tucker explores the complexities of adoption and the emotions surrounding it, drawing on her own experiences as a black woman adopted by a white family. While she acknowledges feeling grateful for her upbringing, Tucker wishes people understood the complications of adoption and the desire for birth parents to keep their children. She believes racism plays a significant role in the child welfare system and advocates for changes in adoption policies. However, while her personal story is moving and insightful, her political positions lack nuance and do not fully consider the complexities of these issues.

Fox News: Christian group urges congressional action after Biden's 'muted response' to crisis
The Philos Project advocacy group submitted a letter to Congress asking for action to help Armenian Christians trapped in Nagorno-Karabakh, which is recognized as part of Azerbaijan but home to a large Armenian population. The group accused the US government of providing only a "muted response" to the situation and urged Congress to reassert American leadership and "bring immediate relief to the residents of Artsakh."
Armenia and Azerbaijan have fought over Nagorno-Karabakh for 30 years, and tensions have increased between the two nations due to the blockade of the only direct road to the region from Armenia. Although Secretary of State Antony Blinken claimed that a deal was "within reach," no announcement materialized. A ceasefire brokered in 2020 by Russia left Armenia vulnerable to Turkey’s political ambitions, and the Philos Project argued that Turkey's actions "could easily be viewed as an attempt to further pressure the Armenian side and maximize Azeri leverage."

Foreign Policy: Sugar as Modern Capitalism’s Original Sin
The World of Sugar, a new book by Ulbe Bosma, explores the history of sugar and how it transformed politics, health, and the environment over 2,000 years. The book looks at the exploitation of labor and land that has been inherent in the production of sugar since it was a luxury item reserved for Eurasian and North African elites. Despite sugar's inglorious past, the industry has persisted through the rise and fall of empires, dynasties, nations, and economic ideologies, with the central figures being global families of bourgeois colonial producers who have also cultivated political power. The search for marginal gains through new technologies, crops, and labor sources has driven down prices but also led to problems of overproduction. Attempts to create a global regulatory system for sugar have also failed due to conflicting views on whether sugar is a national strategic industry worth protecting or whether protecting cheap consumer staples is more important. The protective tariffs for national sugar production have pushed prices up for consumers, while sugar cultivation has also caused collateral environmental damage. Sugar offers a bitter reminder of the enduring tensions between the complexity of national interests and the interests of capital.

American Thinker: When Houses of Worship Lose their Way
Why are synagogues and churches offering programming that is antithetical to their religious teachings and ethics, such as nude mikvahs, drag queen bingo, and polyamory? Financial fear and a loss of religious boundaries among leaders are to blame. As a community, we must distance ourselves from such behavior and speak out against it, even if it means leaving our own congregations and withdrawing donations from philanthropic organizations that support them. We must work to preserve the ethical standards of our religions and houses of worship in order to maintain their purpose of making God's presence noticeable.

Washington Free Beacon: Where Everybody Knows Your Theme Song
Television theme songs did much more than introduce cast members and paper over a nutty premise. They created an emotional and cultural context for what was about to unfold. Music for Prime Time by Jon Burlingame tells the story of how music can tell us a story that words cannot. The book explores the ways in which memorable television theme songs set the mood for the next 30 or 60 minutes of what we now call "content," and helped the writers be a little more free, a little more creative. A really good theme song sticks in your memory forever and creates free passes for unrealistic, unfriendly—but funny—behavior.

Fox News: In the footsteps of Jesus: 2,000-year-old trade receipt found in Jerusalem
The Israel Antiquities Authority found an ancient 2,000-year-old receipt inscribed with the name "Shimon" in Hebrew, along with financial records suggesting a transaction involving money. This is the first such receipt found from this historic period within the boundaries of the city of Jerusalem, providing a glimpse into everyday life for its inhabitants 2,000 years ago.
The inscription was carved using a sharp tool on a chalkstone slab, traditionally used as an ossuary or burial chest in Jerusalem and Judea between 37 B.C. to 70 A.D. The receipt was discovered in the lower city along Pilgrimage Road, the main thoroughfare of Jerusalem during that time. Other Hebrew inscriptions dating to the Early Roman period have been found in Jerusalem and Bet Shemesh, but the latest discovery is unique for this historic period within the city's boundaries.

The Epoch Times: Study Examines CoQ10’s Benefit for Gum Disease
A new study says that coenzyme Q10 supplements may not have added benefits in treating early stages of gum disease, despite dentists recommending it as an anti-inflammatory supplement. CoQ10 deficiency has been found in patients with periodontal disease, which can lead to tooth loss and other serious diseases. Getting sufficient CoQ10 through diet can be problematic for those with health conditions, especially the elderly, making supplementation important. However, protocols for the studies examined in the review vary widely, leading to inconclusive results. Previous recommendations for CoQ10 supplementation must be taken together with deficits of vitamin D and vitamin C, and autophagy should be induced in recovery to protect the immune system.

De Jong has become a crucial player for Barcelona, contributing to their recent La Liga title win and expected to lead the midfield next season as Sergio Busquets departs. Any renewed contract must adhere to Financial Fair Play limits.

American Thinker: Democrats Always Turn on Those They Claim to Support
Democrats claim to be champions of the poor and underprivileged, but their policies only use these groups as pawns for increased power. Even those they claim to help are starting to see the light. They fail to protect women's sports, pushing policies that discriminate against women. They also support abortion and extreme positions against life, common sense, and the family. They fight against school choice, limiting education for underprivileged Americans whom they claim to champion. They support teachers unions that have failed the children of America. Their emphasis on identity politics and other woke ideals is affecting our security, as Democrat-run cities have steadily declined for decades.
