New York Jets released running back Ty Johnson after telling him to get surgery on an offseason injury. Johnson tore his pectoral muscle and followed the team doctor's advice to have it fixed, only to be cut by the Jets soon after. The team drafted a new running back and signed an undrafted free agent to join a group of rookies already in the running backs room.

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone was ejected after arguing with umpire Brian O’Nora over his ruling that allowed the Cincinnati Reds' Jonathan India to score, giving the Reds an early 1-0 lead. The Yankees went on to sweep the Reds and win their fourth game in a row, thanks to Luis Severino’s first start of the season and the bullpen's effort.

The Wall Street Journal has revealed more about Jeffrey Epstein's relationships, including with Bill Gates. Gates had an affair in 2010 with a Russian bridge player, Mila Antonova, which Epstein later tried to use to get Gates to do his bidding. In 2017, Epstein was trying to set up a huge charitable fund with JPMorgan, and needed Gates on board, so he threatened to reveal the affair if Gates didn't cooperate. Gates' people acknowledged Epstein's attempt to hold something over him, and insist that Gates didn't pay him.
Forbes: ‘Fast X’ Earns Over $300 Million In Opening Weekend—But Falls Behind Earlier ‘Fast & Furious’ Movies
"Fast X" dominated the global box office in its opening weekend, earning $318 million, with $251.4 million of that coming from foreign markets. However, the movie's U.S. box office figures fell short of previous "Fast & Furious" films, bringing in $67.5 million domestically and marking the fourth-smallest U.S. open of any movie in the franchise. The film's success abroad was led by China, where it brought in $78.3 million. Despite the underwhelming U.S. results, "Fast X" has another sequel planned for release in 2025.
