National Review: The Corner: Another Downside of the 14th Amendment Opinion
The Biden administration considers using an obscure provision to bypass Congress and raise the debt ceiling, but experts warn of potential political and economic consequences. If the administration declares the debt ceiling unconstitutional and the Supreme Court rules it otherwise, the market chaos would be pinned on Biden, jeopardizing the administration's position of normalcy.

The Epoch Times: Save the Timber for Australia, Not Beijing
China's recent lift on the ban of Australian timber exports, imposed on "quarantine" grounds, was likely a result of a deal with Australia following their halting of a WTO action against China over barley. This ban had a significant impact on Australia's forest sector and export earnings, and while the lifting of the ban may seem like a short-term victory, it may not be a smart one in the long run. Australia's forestry sector is advised to steer clear of dealing with China, especially considering the country's past bullying tactics. Moreover, Australia is a net importer of timber products, and the housing shortage has led to a shortage of wood supply, further exacerbating issues.
Fox News: The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Crunch Week on the Debt Ceiling
The U.S. is dangerously close to hitting the debt ceiling, with talks between the White House and GOP stalling and no agreement in sight. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has reiterated that the "hard" deadline is June 1 and the government will struggle to pay its bills beyond June 15 without action from Congress. Negotiations are intense, with House Republicans seeking a "majority of the majority" to be in favor of any bill, but it's unclear how they will bridge the divide and secure necessary votes. The outcome of the negotiations and the timing of any potential deal remain uncertain.

Flag And Cross: Teen Reportedly Arrested After Handing Out Bibles Proclaims He’s ‘Not Ashamed of the Gospel of Christ’
A 16-year-old Christian named Josh Alexander was arrested in Canada for handing out Bibles on a public sidewalk during a "I Stand with Josh Alexander” protest against allowing biological males to use female restrooms and change rooms in schools. Dozens of students also walked out of the high school on the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia. Fights broke out between protesters and counter-protesters and the police said Alexander's views were too "inflammatory" to be expressed near the school. Alexander was previously arrested in February for similar views.

Front Page Magazine: “FBI True” Series – But What’s the Other Half of it?
Retired FBI agent David Baldovin recommends the FBI True series on the Paramount + Channel, which features retired agents discussing real cases. Though informative, the series neglects to mention Islamic doctrine and jihad as motivators in the Boston Marathon bombings and San Bernadino shooters, factors that may have been overlooked due to the FBI's 2011 purge of training materials regarding Islam and jihad. Baldovin warns that the FBI is being subverted by both the Red and Green enemies within, referring to Communists and the Muslim Brotherhood, respectively, and advocates for readers to seek out information from sources like the Muslim Brotherhood Strategic Plan for North America and the work of deceased DHS officer Phil Haney.

The Epoch Times: National Retail Group Says 42 Percent Increase to Workcover a 'Bitter Pill to Swallow'
The Victorian Labor government has announced a 42 percent increase in the Workcover premium paid by businesses' joint funds to cover employee injuries and insurance claims. The Australian Retail Association has criticized the move amid the rising inflation and a crime wave that has targeted small businesses. CEO of the Australian Retail Association, Paul Zahra, said the move would make Victoria's Workcover costs (1.8 percent of an employer's payroll) higher than New South Wales (1.48 percent) and Queensland (1.23 percent). #"economy"
Front Page Magazine: Dark Matter
The James Webb Space Telescope, named after NASA administrator James Webb, has been the subject of controversy due to allegations that Webb implemented homophobic policies when he worked for the State Department prior to his time at NASA. While these accusations have been levied against Webb for years, they have been largely unsubstantiated. Hakeem Oluseyi, president of the National Society of Black Physicists, did extensive research and found "zero evidence" to support these claims. Despite this, a group of scientists including Chanda Prescod-Weinstein, an assistant professor of physics at the University of New Hampshire, have called for the telescope to be renamed. Prescod-Weinstein, who identifies as "agender," has a history of making divisive and self-pitying statements on race and gender issues. Meanwhile, proponents of renaming the telescope after astronomer and gay-rights advocate Frank Kameny believe that he deserves recognition for his selfless and productive activism.
The American Spectator: The Most Important Event of Modern Post-World War II History
John C. McManus' To the End of the Earth: The US Army and the Downfall of Japan, 1945 argues that the "loss" of China to the communists in the late 1940s was the "most important event of modern post-World War II history." The book is the final volume of McManus' trilogy, covering the US Army's role in the Pacific theater of World War II. The importance to the US of the Nationalist resistance to Japan during the Second World War has mostly been underappreciated — McManus calls Chiang Kai-shek "a flawed but respectable, patriotic figure who had managed to preserve the notion of an independent, modern China through nearly a decade of war." Mao's army did "little besides observing mutual back-scratching truces with the Japanese."
