Liberty Nation: Deal, Discharge, or Default: How Will the Debt Limit Debacle End?
Deal, Discharge, or Default: How Will the Debt Limit Debacle End?
Debt limit talks between Republicans and the White House have paused with no progress and no future meetings scheduled. Meanwhile, House Democrats are working to get enough signatures on a discharge petition to force a debt limit bill to a vote in the House. However, this move is unlikely to work, as discharge petitions are rarely successful due to party unity. With less than two weeks until the x-date of June 1, the debt limit dilemma remains unresolved.

Despite talks resuming in the evening, negotiations on the debt limit have stalled, with both sides accusing each other of being unreasonable. House Democrats are pursuing a backup plan to force a debt limit bill to a vote in the House through a discharge petition, but this is unlikely to work due to a lack of party unity. The debt limit conflict may end in a last-minute deal or default.

Northern Virginia’s sinister woke mafia
The Loudoun County school board is under fire for their handling of LGBTQ and Critical Race Theory teachings in schools, leading to threats and intimidation against Christian and conservative residents by a group called the "Loudoun Love Warriors." This has prompted legal action by the Family Foundation of Virginia and gained national attention. VA Gov. Youngkin has vowed to hold those responsible accountable.

Durham report renews criticism of NY Times, Washington Post Pulitzer Prizes for Russian collusion coverage
Former President Trump's defamation lawsuit against the Pulitzer Prize Board over the awarding of National Reporting prizes to The New York Times and Washington Post for their coverage of alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia is still ongoing. The Durham report has further diminished the credibility of the reporting from these publications and some conservatives have called for the prizes to be returned or stripped. The Pulitzer Board has stood by its decision and stated that the winning submissions were not discredited by facts that emerged subsequent to the conferral of the prizes. (, )

Pro-life activist sounds alarm on FBI 'intimidation' after agents visit home: 'They're going after everybody'
Two FBI agents visited pro-life activist Elise Ketch's childhood home, claiming they needed to speak with her mother regarding "some information that was sent in." Ketch believes it was an intimidation tactic to silence her activism. Despite telling the agents to contact her attorney and getting no further communication, Ketch plans to continue her legal and within-her-rights activism through the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising. She believes the FBI's bias against those fighting for human rights is evident and that more people need to come forward and share their stories of being targeted by agents.

National Review: The Durham Report Exposes How Thin the Collusion Case Really Was
The Durham Report Exposes How Thin the Collusion Case Really Was
The FBI's Trump-Russia investigation, "Crossfire Hurricane," lacked a proper basis for commencing any serious investigation. The probe was opened based on a strained interpretation of comments made by George Papadopoulos that were not considered valuable intelligence. The bureau opened a full-scale investigation against a presidential campaign based on limited information and without proper predication. The FBI agents working the case thought there was little to no value in the information they had.

Fox News: Former Rep. Mark Walker launches Republican campaign for North Carolina governor
Former Rep. Mark Walker launches Republican campaign for North Carolina governor
Mark Walker, former Republican congressman and pastor, announced his candidacy for the 2024 North Carolina governor race, asserting his conservative leadership and ability to build bridges with Democrats and Independents. He believes he is the only candidate who can win both the primary and general elections. He is the third major Republican to enter the race, and the winner of the primary will likely face off with North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein, the only major candidate running for the Democratic nomination. Walker's priorities include expanding education opportunities, securing economic freedom, and protecting children and families, promising to fight against gender reassignment surgeries for children.

American Thinker: Obama displays his trademark hypocrisy as he talks about banning Americans from owning firearms
Obama displays his trademark hypocrisy as he talks about banning Americans from owning firearms
Former President Barack Obama suggested that the U.S. should follow in Australia's footsteps to combat mass shootings. However, the Australian government website states that owning and using a firearm is limited in Australia to people with a genuine reason, and self-protection does not constitute a genuine reason to possess, own, or use a firearm. This essentially means that there would be one law for regular people and one law for the ruling class. Additionally, owning a firearm is a constitutional right and self-defense is a human right. Obama's comments on guns once again reflect the hypocrisy of liberal 'elites' who aim to create fear and paranoia among the public to facilitate a basis to trespass on the private space of citizens and infringe upon their rights.

Biden reverses himself, allowing F-16s to be sent to Ukraine
The US has decided to supply F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine and train their pilots, despite previous opposition. The decision was made by Biden and informed to G7 counterparts in Japan, with no consensus among NATO members. Some countries may give up their own fleets to Ukraine. The consequences lie solely on the US.

Ukrainian service dogs awarded for dedicated service
Four service dogs of Ukraine's National Guard were honored for their service in uncovering explosives and weapons during the country's ongoing conflict with Russia. The German shepherds were evacuated to the western regions of Ukraine, saving them from being killed after Russian aviation bombs were dumped at their military unit. The dogs, named Dzhuki, Irbis, Antey, and Odin, discovered numerous amounts of ammunition, grenades, and explosives. The dog handlers spent more than a year separated from their pets, but they were recognized by the dogs when they were finally reunited.

Man who lost both his eyes to cancer as a 13-month-old uses echolocation to ‘see’ with his ears
Daniel Kish, who lost both his eyes as an infant to retinoblastoma, has learned echolocation, a way of "seeing" with sound, allowing him to identify his environment to an incredible degree of accuracy. He creates a mental map of his surroundings by making clicking noises with his tongue that then bounce back to him. He helps others learn to echolocate as a certified "perceptual navigation specialist" working with the visually impaired and autistic. Kish uses the ACT framework - adaptation, capacities, and technology as support - to map out new spaces and live a self-determined life.

Woman Charged in Death of Boy Found in Suitcase Seeks Change of Indiana Venue
Louisiana woman Dawn Coleman, charged in connection with the death of 5-year-old Cairo Ammar Jordan, is seeking a change of venue for her trial in southern Indiana to avoid media attention and public outrage. Her attorney argues that she would not receive a fair trial in Washington County, Indiana due to hostility against her and media coverage. A hearing is set for June 1. Authorities allege Coleman helped Cairo's mother dispose of his body, which was later found in a suitcase in Indiana. Cairo died from dehydration caused by vomiting and diarrhea, and his mother has a felony murder warrant out for her arrest.

Liberty Nation: Is ESPN Turning to Streaming?
Is ESPN Turning to Streaming?
Disney is considering moving towards streaming and launching a standalone ESPN-specific streaming package. ESPN has been affected by cord-cutting and reported a significant drop in revenue from traditional television networks. The number of households paying for cable TV has dropped to 1990 levels, Breitbart reported. As such, streaming has emerged as the way people pay for entertainment. ESPN already streams MLB and NHL games since 2018 on ESPN+ but plans to migrate to a streaming platform are yet to be finalised. The move to streaming services will mean significant changes to pricing and timing.
