The Epoch Times: Bipartisan Lawmakers Express Outrage Over FBI Misuse of Surveillance Tool to Spy on Americans
Lawmakers are concerned that the FBI misused a surveillance tool to gather intelligence on US citizens, including those involved in the George Floyd protests and the Capitol Hill riot on January 6. A court order revealed that the FBI didn't follow its own surveillance standards, violating the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) by conducting over 270,000 improper searches. Congress committee members responded with concern and demanded further reform, such as increased privacy rights for American citizens. Republicans have been angered by the FBI's surveillance tactics, and the revelation is unlikely to secure congressional reauthorization of FISA Section 702, which allows for warrantless surveillance of non-US citizens abroad for intelligence gathering.

The Australian Nurses Federation has questioned the lack of backup nurses and has said nurses working triple shifts is not acceptable.
