A new Harvard-Harris poll shows that 57% of registered voters have doubts about President Joe Biden's mental fitness, while only 43% believe he is mentally fit. The poll also found that 65% of respondents think Biden, who would be 82 at the start of a potential second term, is "showing he is too old" to be president. Strong majorities of Republicans and unaffiliated voters agree, while most Democrats do not. The FDA has revised its blood donation guidelines to base eligibility on individuals’ responses to screening questions instead of group-wide restrictions. The ban for men who have sex with men (MSM) has been lifted to allow each person to be assessed individually. The FDA recommends reviewing screening questionnaires to gauge levels of HIV risk. Any individuals with new sexual partners, multiple partners or anal sex over the last few months will not be able to donate, regardless of sexual orientation. Testing is required in two stages; firstly, for certain antibodies that may cause adverse reactions and, secondly, for hepatitis B and C, HIV, West Nile virus, bacterial contamination and any other pathogens. .

Glenn Perry, who killed two Wisconsin police officers during a traffic stop, struggled with a divorce and harbored animosity towards law enforcement. Perry was accused of stalking and harassing his ex-wife and had a history of disturbing comments, according to the state Justice Department's nearly 1,000 pages report. Perry's ex-wife told investigators that he was schizophrenic and carried guns in his vehicle. Perry didn't like getting "harassed or pushed around" by the police and threatened to open fire if he felt threatened.
Fox News: $200K bail set for Detroit clerk who locked door before shoplifter shot customers
A Detroit gas station clerk was charged with involuntary manslaughter as he locked the glass partition to stop a possible theft. He panicked when a man tried to leave the gas station with items worth less than $4. A man was killed and two more were wounded. The accused is being held on a $200,000 bond, and his attorney is arguing that he was doing his job.
Fox News: Minnesota Gov. Walz signs off on 2 gun control bills
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz signs two gun control measures into law, including a "red flag" system for court-ordered firearms seizures and an expansion of background checks. He was described as someone who lived a full life and experienced more in 18 years than many ever will.
