American Thinker: Befuddled Paul Krugman should study Hanke's Annual Misery Index (HAMI)
Economist Paul Krugman is puzzled by why Americans are negative about the strong U.S. economy. He lacks a system for measuring economic negativity, unlike Steve Hanke's Annual Misery Index . The index measures unemployment, inflation, and bank-lending rates and subtracts the annual percentage change in real GDP per capita. Krugman could benefit from this index to understand why Democratic-leaning Americans don't share Biden's optimistic view of the economy . The index demonstrates how Americans' own experiences may contradict broad macroeconomic indicators.

Breitbart: TikTok Claims Montana's Ban Violates First Amendment
Montana banned TikTok because of concerns over data privacy, causing TikTok to claim that the ban infringes on the First Amendment rights of its users. Montana Gov. Gianforte signed the bill, saying it would protect Montanans’ personal data from being harvested by the Chinese Communist Party. The ACLU of Montana and NetChoice denounced the law as unconstitutional, while a former executive at TikTok’s parent company confirmed the CCP had “supreme access” to all data held by the company, including on servers in the US. Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem also banned TikTok on state devices for national security reasons.

American Thinker: Disney fail: Company announces cancellation of two big projects, as media pounces to falsely blame DeSantis for one
Disney shareholders have lost over 52% of their investment since March 2021. The company has abandoned two big projects, one of which was unsuccessful and had to be written off, and the other was a major plan that has been scrapped. The media focused on blaming Governor Ron DeSantis for the abandoned plan, but it was revealed that it was a small part of its Florida plans, costing less than $1 billion. The other big cancellation is Disney World's Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, which is closing after just over a year of operation, resulting in a significant write-off.
Breitbart: Great Reset: Europe Could Hit Net Zero by Demolishing Historic Buildings
Europe's rush to net-zero risks doing more harm than good to the economy, says Paolo Angelini, the deputy governor at the Bank of Italy. He warns that erasing historic buildings is necessary to meet extreme green demands. Angelini's team at the Bank of Italy said tearing down historic buildings and building energy-efficient ones would be necessary to make the institution compliant with net-zero emissions. Angelini refrains from committing to net-zero at the Bank of Italy as he doesn't have the technology to do so, let alone replace historic buildings.
The rush to net-zero has been criticised by Paolo Angelini, the deputy governor at the Bank of Italy, who says it risks destabilising the continent's economy and may lead to erasing historic buildings to meet extreme green demands. Angelini said that his team at the Bank of Italy told him that tearing down historic buildings and replacing them with energy-efficient ones would be necessary to make the institution comply with net-zero. He refrains from committing to net-zero at the Bank of Italy due to the lack of present technology. The issue falls on partisan lines, with recent studies showing that the general public prefers traditional architecture. However, net-zero extremists could destroy historic buildings with promises of replacing them with more environmentally friendly modern alternatives, even though architects are yet to come up with answers.
