Red State: House Speaker Kevin McCarthy's Popularity Has Surged Since January
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy's popularity has increased 10 points, with 46% of voters approving of his performance, according to a recent YouGov poll. This increase was largely drawn across party lines, with more Republicans viewing his performance favorably than Democrats. McCarthy's popularity surge comes as he engages in negotiations with President Joe Biden on the federal debt ceiling, with a potential default quickly approaching.
Flag And Cross: Lead Negotiator For Kevin McCarthy Walks Out On Biden Administration Officials
Negotiations on the debt ceiling between Congress and the White House stall as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez challenges Kevin McCarthy's authority to negotiate, claiming he lacks votes. President Biden is in Japan for the G-7 summit, cutting his foreign trip short to avoid default by June 1. House Democrats are pushing a backup plan to avoid default on U.S. bills, and a petition initiated by Rep. Brendan Boyle aims to force a vote on the debt ceiling increase, having received over 200 endorsements. Ocasio-Cortez believes Democrats can leverage this procedural tactic to exert pressure on Republican counterparts since McCarthy lacks the votes to negotiate. Democrats already have 213 votes for a clean bill, needing only five more.

He emphasized that the government will crush anyone who tries to expose the truth about things that are wrong .

The Epoch Times: Customers Call for 'Bud Light Treatment' of Target Over Transgender Line of Children's Clothes
Target's introduction of an LGBT line of clothing and accessories ahead of "Pride" month has caused controversy and boycotts from some parents. The line includes queer and transgender clothing for kids, with items such as little girls’ bathing suits with tucks for male genitalia. Parents have taken to social media to voice their outrage, with some likening the backlash to the "Bud Light" fallout. The launch of the LGBT merchandise coincided with a three percent drop in Target's shares. Some supporters of the line include the group Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).
Flag And Cross: Perpetrators Of Mass Shooting Have Shown A Connection Psychiatric Disorders
Studies show that although the majority of people with mental illness are not violent, those who commit mass shootings are more likely to suffer from serious psychiatric disorders. From 1976 to 2018, 35% of those who committed indiscriminate mass shootings had paranoid schizophrenia, and 60% had a diagnosed mental disorder or demonstrated signs of serious mental illness prior to the attack. The rise of mass shootings coincides with the mass deinstitutionalization of psychiatric patients in the U.S., from 1955 to around 2010, during which the portion of the U.S. population in public psychiatric hospitals declined by 96%.

Breitbart: Biden Stumbles Down Steps During G7 Trip
President Biden stumbled while walking down the steps during his foreign trip when meeting with G7 leaders at the Itsukushima Shrine, where he met Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and other world leaders. This is not the first time Biden has taken a near-tumble, with similar incidents happening in the first year of his presidency, in Poland, Montgomery, Alabama and last summer during a bike ride. Americans continue to hold concerns about Biden’s age, as the 80-year-old is seeking a second term in office.
American Thinker: In Canada, many see poverty and homelessness as good reasons to die
A recent poll shows that one-third of Canadians would be okay with prescribing assisted suicide for homeless or impoverished patients. Canada recently became one of the few countries to legalize assisted suicide even for those without a terminal illness. Meanwhile, a Gallup survey revealed that over a quarter of American adults are depressed, with depression rates highest among women, Black, and Hispanic people. Irony abounds as materialism is often linked with an existential crisis and despite pushback against the commercialization of life, social media propagates the idea that happiness is tied to creature comforts. This lack of mental resilience may be pushing people towards advocating for mercy killings.

The presenters encouraged the use of puberty blockers and hormones during adolescence, and surgeries, including breast removal and genital reconstruction, later in life. Doctors Richard Roberts and Kristy Rialon, who ran the surgeries, have given no comment.

Fox News: Obama, Colbert now among 500 Americans banned from Russia
Russia has banned 500 Americans, including former President Barack Obama and "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert, from entering the country as part of a new round of sanctions targeting "Russophobia," Ukrainian armaments, and those involved in persecution of dissidents after the Capitol riot. The list includes freshman Republican Senators Katie Britt, Eric Schmitt and J.D. Vance, as well as former ambassadors to Russia John Tefft and Jon Huntsman. It also denies a U.S. request for consular access to Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich.
The sanctions are in response to a new round of U.S. sanctions, including tighter restrictions on already-sanctioned people and companies involved in the Ukraine war effort, as well as sanctions evaders connected to technology procurement for the Kremlin.
