Washington Free Beacon: Most Migrants Are Still Released Into the Country After Apprehension
Most illegal migrants apprehended at the border are released into the United States, according to new data from Customs and Border Protection. A larger portion of individuals attempting to cross the border, despite the number falling from last week, are being released into the country following the lapse of Title 42. The Biden administration has promised to impose punishments for illegal entry, including expedited removal and felony charges for deportees who attempt to return to the US.
The Epoch Times: CBP Is Using Sophisticated AI Tool to Monitor Americans' Social Media Activity
US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is using artificial intelligence (AI) to collect information from social media activity, linked to individuals' social security or driver's license numbers, according to a CBP document. CBP uses an open-source AI tool, Babel X, developed by Babel Street, to monitor U.S. citizens, refugees and asylum seekers to screen for "derogatory" information. The information collected can include a person's name, address, email, phone number, social media usernames, content, images, IP address, domain information, SSN, driver's license number, employment history and location data.
The Epoch Times: Border Sheriffs Skeptical as Illegal Immigrant Crossings Drop After End of Title 42
After Title 42 restrictions ended last week, the White House stated that there has been a drop in illegal immigration at the US-Mexico border. However, sheriffs along the border are not convinced that the decrease in illegal crossings will last. Despite the drop, Republican governors continue to criticize the Biden administration's handling of the immigration crisis. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced he would be sending 1,100 law enforcement personnel to Texas to assist in securing the Texas-Mexico border. Meanwhile, migrants still continue to make the journey to the US-Mexico border, regardless of the end of Title 42 restrictions.

Breitbart: Former FBI Agent Peter Strzok Attacks Breitbart News Contributor Peter Schweizer for Work on Hunter Biden
Former FBI agent Peter Strzok attacked Breitbart contributor Peter Schweizer over his work on alleged corruption by Hunter Biden. Strzok linked to a New York Times article about the FBI's interest in Schweizer's investigations into the younger Biden. The FBI had approached Schweizer prior to the 2020 election about documents and information relating to Hunter Biden's business dealings. Schweizer pushed back on Strzok's attempt to provoke alarm by noting that the Times had verified his reporting, including that published in Clinton Cash.
The Federalist Papers: Prosecutor Appears to Be Moving Against Trump - Will Send Staff Home While Grand Juries Meet
A district attorney in Georgia has asked judges to clear their schedules for the first two weeks in August. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has been investigating former President Donald Trump for alleged interference in the election and experts suggest she may be preparing to charge him. Willis stated her decision on a potential Trump indictment could “provoke a significant public reaction” and the grand jury’s findings could lead to “violence.” Willis previously requested heightened security between the dates of July 11 and Sept. 1 because of high public interest.
Fox News: Boebert slams Fetterman for wearing hoodie, shorts to Senate news conference: 'No excuse'
Rep. Lauren Boebert criticized Sen. John Fetterman for attending a Senate press conference in a hoodie and shorts, calling it "unbecoming" attire for a job only 100 people are elected to do. Fetterman has been seen wearing casual clothing in the Senate since his return from a hospital stay for clinical depression, but Boebert said there was "no excuse" for his appearance at the press conference.
PJ Media: They’re Baaack! FBI Agents Visit a Pro-Lifer’s Childhood Home
FBI agents visited the home of a pro-life activist's family and asked to speak with her daughter, but would not give any information about why. The activist remains defiant in the face of what she believes to be an act of intimidation.
The Epoch Times: America Is in a National Identity Crisis: Vivek Ramaswamy
Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy aims to lead the country out of its national identity crisis by presenting an alternative vision that counters the "woke agenda." He proposes raising the voting age to 25 to cultivate a better-informed electorate and engender a heightened sense of ownership and responsibility among young voters. Ramaswamy also advocates for dismantling the FBI, which he sees as a corrupted and vaguely defined institution fostering an environment prone to abuses of power, and stresses the need to restore the rule of law to restore the national identity.
The New American: Banned Books: Jail Time for School Librarians? - The New American

Red State: Biden Gets Nailed by Community Notes for 'Bottomless Pinocchio' Lie
President Biden is a habitual liar who often makes up stories for his benefit without regard for facts, repeating lies that have been debunked many times. Despite this, the Democrats have not held him accountable for his lies or his mental deterioration. The media has also not consistently called him out, but recently, Twitter's Community Notes has been cracking down on his lies, including his false claim of reducing the deficit by $1.7 trillion. The Democrats' lack of action may come back to hurt them in the 2024 election.
Fox News: Lawmaker demands Pulitzer Prize awarded to NYT, WaPo to be rescinded following Durham revelations
Rep. Lance Gooden, R-Texas, is calling for the Pulitzer Prize Board to revoke the 2018 awards given to The New York Times and Washington Post for their reporting about the debunked Russia collusion story. In a letter to the board, Gooden cited the findings of Special Counsel John Durham's final report on the FBI's probe, which found the agency failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law. Gooden also requested the two outlets be banned from any nominations for a minimum of five years to clarify the board's belief in accountability and impartiality.
Gooden's calls for the prize to be rescinded have been echoed by Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., who thinks the Pulitzer Prize should be taken back because the entire episode was politically motivated and not something one should receive an award for. The Pulitzer Prize Board has stood by its 2018 awards given to The New York Times and Washington Post.
Fox News: MSNBC slammed as ‘freak show’ after host Chris Hayes melts down defending gender surgery for children
MSNBC anchor Chris Hayes was criticized by conservatives for going on a rant against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, after the Republican signed bills banning gender surgeries for minors in his state. Hayes’ commentary happened on Thursday night in response to DeSantis signing several bills, which included a ban on transgender treatments for children and legislation regarding the use of pronouns in schools. Hayes couches the bill signing as DeSantis taking children away from families who have decided gender-affirming care is the best medical treatment for their child.
Foreign Policy: Domestic Division Is Dragging Down U.S. Indo-Pacific Policy
President Biden cancels his trip to the Indo-Pacific, leading to the cancellation of the long-awaited Quad summit, damaging relationships with key partners in India, Australia, and Japan. Domestic issues and political instability in Washington are sending a bad message to partners in the region and hampering successful U.S. policy. The cancellation is a particular blow to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who is working to strengthen the U.S.-Australia alliance and invest in the U.S. defense industrial base. The absence of the United States at the summit undermines the Quad's efforts to deliver public goods and security in the region.

The Los Angeles Dodgers removed LGBT group, The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, from their Pride Night celebration after complaints about sacrilegious content. However, Catholic League President, Bill Donohue, calls them "homosexual bigots" and thanked the Dodger's for their reversal. Fox News: Greenpeace targeted in Russian dissent crackdown, top anti-Putin politician spared jail time
Greenpeace Russia is closing down after the country declared it and Greenpeace International to be an undesirable organisation. Authorities claimed that Greenpeace represented a threat to the Russian Federation and was involved in anti-Russian propaganda, causing calls for the country to be economically isolated and sanctioned. Greenpeace Russia claimed that the declaration of the group as undesirable was due to its efforts to prevent the implementation of projects harmful to nature, and was therefore forced to close down. Meanwhile, the ex-Mayor of Yekaterinburg, Russia, Yevgeny Roizman, was found guilty of a discrediting charge and avoided a prison sentence. He was fined and said he would not appeal the verdict.
The Epoch Times: IN-DEPTH: Abortion Emerges as a Defining Issue for 2024 Presidential Hopefuls
The 2024 presidential election is set to be dominated by discussions on the legality and morality of abortion, with laws restricting or protecting abortion varying widely across the country. Candidates must consider both political reality and appeasing their supporters to win, while also not alienating independent voters. Pro-abortion Democrat President Joe Biden and pro-life Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis have both directed abortion-related barbs at former President Donald Trump, the leading contender for the Republican nomination, while Republican candidate Nikki Haley dismissed the possibility of a federal abortion ban, saying it is unrealistic and divisive to discuss further. The issue is expected to be one of the most contentious in the election cycle.

The judge cited Teixeira's past disturbing online statements and a "fascination with guns" in his decision.

The judge found those arguments compelling and called the leak "a profound breach of the defendant’s word that he would protect information related to the security of the United States." Teixeira's social media was littered with comments about violence and murder, and he was reprimanded by his superiors for viewing intelligence-related information that was not related to his primary duty.

National Review: The Corner: The Real Hungary
American conservatives are increasingly praising Hungary as a model for resisting global elites, enforcing conservative values, and combating declining fertility. However, conservative commentator Henry Olsen argues that the Hungarian model is not all it's cracked up to be, due to factors such as its ethnic nationalism, rural makeup, and neo-isolationist foreign policy. Additionally, Hungary's favorable stance towards Russia and China make it a questionable partner for American conservatives wary of those regimes. Instead, American conservatives should focus on preserving the rule of law and American citizenship through opposing de facto open borders and caring about the interests of the American people.

Flag And Cross: Congress And The White House Have Yet To Come An Agreement Prior To A Default
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and President Joe Biden are yet to reach an agreement regarding the U.S. debt ceiling before a default on June 1. McCarthy has expressed his concerns about the increasing U.S. debt and has highlighted the need for a deal. Vice President Kamala Harris has stepped up her role in the negotiations over the debt as Biden continues his overseas trip to attend the G-7 summit in Japan. The Epoch Times: Business Closures in China Make Finding a Job Difficult for New College Grads
China's college graduates are facing a tough job market due to the economic slowdown and the closure of small- and medium-sized firms amid the Chinese Communist Party's three-year "zero-COVID" policy. This year's pool of new graduates is estimated to reach 11.58 million, up by 820,000 compared to 2022. Graduates are struggling to find jobs, causing pressure on lawmakers to implement stable employment policies. Private firms mainly employ graduates; many are absorbed by private firms, and only a few find jobs in state-owned enterprises.
Small- and medium-sized firms, which contribute more than half of China's tax revenue, have been struggling due to low consumer demand, tight cash flow, and pressure to change business practices to suit market conditions. China's unemployment rate for graduates with advanced degrees is 40.66 percent, and for graduates with bachelor's degrees, it stands at 24.1 percent. The number of small- and medium-sized enterprises that deregistered in 2020 reached a historical high of 4.45 million. Financing remains difficult for SMEs, who usually seek loans from smaller banks with higher interest rates. Amid the pandemic, many factories remain closed, causing difficulties for private businesses.
The Epoch Times: PBO's Economic Analysis of New Fuel Regulations 'Unbalanced' and 'Incomplete,' Environment Minister Says
Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault disputes the economic impact analysis on the Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR) made by the Parliamentary Budget Officer (PBO), Yves Giroux. According to Guilbeault, the PBO's report is "unbalanced" and "incomplete," and "fails to recognize the cost of climate change to Canadians." The CFR, which comes into effect on July 1, will require fuel producers and importers to decrease the carbon intensity of gasoline and diesel sold in Canada. Giroux’s report predicts that the CFR will increase gas prices by 17 cents per litre by 2030 and cause Canada's GDP to drop by up to $9 billion.

Fox News: Ringworm resistant to common antifungals for first time in US: What to know about the skin infection
Two cases of the fungal infection known as tinea, or ringworm, failed to respond to standard treatment due to a recently emerged fungus in the United States. Trichophyton indotineae has resulted in a severe epidemic of drug-resistant ringworm in South Asia in the past decade due to the misuse and overuse of topical antifungal treatment and corticosteroids. This is the first time that drug-resistant ringworm has been reported in the US.
Ringworm is a highly contagious infection of the skin, hair, or nails caused by dermatophyte molds. Symptoms generally appear four to 14 days after the skin comes in contact with the fungi that cause ringworm. It can spread from person to person, from animal to person, or in damp environments such as locker room floors or swimming pools. While ringworm can usually be treated with over-the-counter creams or lotions, severe cases may require prescription antifungal medications. The CDC advises against walking barefoot in locker rooms or public showers and sharing household items with those infected with ringworm.

California dermatologist Yue Yu has pleaded not guilty to three felony counts of poisoning and one felony count of domestic battery with corporal injury, after being accused of spiking her husband's tea with Drano during a custody battle. Her husband, radiologist Jack Chen, alleges that video footage from hidden cameras in their home captured Yu pouring Drano in his beverages on July 11, 18 and 25, after noticing that his drink tasted strange. However, Yu's lawyer claims it was a setup, as they had ants in their home and Chen asked her to put the Drano in the drinks to kill them.
If convicted, Yu could be sentenced to up to eight years in prison. Chen filed for divorce and sole custody of their two children on the same day he accused his wife of poisoning him, last year. Yu was released on a $30,000 bond and her lawyer has stated that she suffers from acid reflux, not poisoning.

Apple's data auction commercial highlights its "ask app not to track" feature as part of its App Track Transparency initiative. However, the feature has been deemed functionally useless by a September 2021 Lockdown Privacy study and a Washington Post article reported developers could overwrite the user's preferences, risking breaches.
